We stayed in this hotel for our golden wedding anniversary . we where worried after reading all the reviews. But we loved it . We went straight to checking in. no que. we where given. a suite . it was very clean every where. The staff where very good. the maid cleaned every morning. changed all the towels . Nothing was to much trouble. the telephoned .for us . When we checked out the ordered the bus for us to take us to the air port. the bus stopped right out side . We could go up the strip or down . we hope to return again next year. And we will stay in the Riviera. more

We went to the Riviera to celebrate our 30th Wedding Anniversary. We've been going there for years and have always stayed and played at the Riv. This was our second trip to the Riviera this year. we had a wonderful time! Didn't go anywhere but there. Everyone was exceptional, especially our Host, Jim. He was at our every beck and call (if needed) - he made reservations at Kristopher's Steak House for our anniversary day and everything was absolutely wonderful. Although the machines didn't like my husband and I very much we still enjoyed our 4 days at the Riv. We're planning our next trip for the Superbowl Party in February (fingers crossed) but will definitely be going in early June to celebrate my birthday and my best friends wedding anniversary who stayed at the Riv for that! Yeah!! We just love this older Hotel & Casino due to its history. I pray it stays and doesn't get caught up in all the conglomerates throughout Las Vegas. The Monte Carlo Tower is where we always stay in the Riviera. The rooms and bathrooms are very spacious and super clean (thank you to the cleaning gals). We had been to Vegas before and stayed main strip, wanted something cheaper and """"old Vegas style"""" this time. The Riviera casino floor was clean and had the old vegas feel I was looking for. We stayed in the North Tower, the hallways scared me ! But thankfully the rooms were updated, clean and had the most comfortable beds, even with the 3 hour time change (which REALLY messed us up last time) We all slept to Vegas 8am. The bathrooms were small, but had a """"dressing area"""" full length mirrors and makeup table - very important when it's 2 ladies per room. Showers had great water pressure. Kady's restaurant onsite had great food, portions and prices...their staff is very friendly and fast - unlike the british pub onsite :( Pool was good, mid afternoon there was a sun side and shade side, they also had floaties you could use...which is good if you have kids. Check in was a breeze , we got our rooms at noon, well before the stated 4pm check in which was great. The Deuce bus stops right outside north & south bound which make getting to the main strip & Freemont a breeze & $20 for 3 days 24/7 riding. Would stay there again more

i cant believe some of these bad reviews, the riviera is beautiful, clean and great service. does have old time charm. walking thru the halls is great, the history is unbeatable. the ambiance is hard to beat. the pool is perfect. sure, it does nt have a water show or volcano, but what it does have is real Las Vegas feel. trust me and treat yourself with a stay here. more

I’m a specialist Las Vegas agent and go at least 3 times a year to check out hotels/meet managers etc etc I was lucky enough to get this for just £16.50 a night in December yes the casino is a bit tired and in December the place was empty which didn't bother me the new refurbished rooms are such good quality for the cost for sheer value I have and will continue to offer this hotel to may clients more

It makes me laugh how people have nothing better to do then complain over meaningless stuff that is exaggerated! Its disappointing how people don’t take the time to write when they have had a great experience. more

Hospitality crew's & support staff here work well as a team, are friendly, helpful, and care that your stay is as good as they can help you make it. These individuals are a credit to the company. we managed to get an apartment at the hotel for an extra $420 approx, for the 6 nights. The rooms were great, with a balcony, and view out to the Stratosphere. more

I will never understand people who shell out big bucks for theme hotels with the gimmicks and tourist traps because you never end up spending a lot of time in your room which is money wasted! The rooms at the Riviera were spacious, clean, and provided everything needed. I know countless people who have paid more money in the higher end hotels just to be disappointed by their room and lack of service. more

Being at this part of the Strip it was a bit less hectic than staying further down the Strip. Tried a few of the restaurants at the hotel and food was fine. Staff were all friendly and helpful. more

To me The Riviera Casino Hotel is what Vegas is supposed to be about. more

We booked our hotel stay at the Westward Ho prior to their closing and were switched over to the Riveria Hotel. That was the best move we could have made. The Riveria was fantastic. They treated us extremely well and it felt very comfortable there. The casino area was extremely well layed out and as I said we felt very comfortable there. We wish to thank the Riveria for a very nice time. more

I cannot rave or say enough good things about the service and the staff. They were friendly, helpful and attentive. The gaming tables and dealers were the best bar none. The dealers were entertaining and advised some good strategies for an amateur like myself (not to mention patient!) If I were to lose my money anywhere, the demeanor and characters of the dealers at the Riviera make losing much more tolerable. You can’t even get the dealers at some of the higher end places to even acknowledge you, never mind any pleasantries! I enjoyed playing the tables at the Riviera so much that I won’t even waste my time at the other places. more

i love this place, right when i was checking in the hotel staff were really nice , unlike the ones at rio , were they were horrible not going there again..this is a nice casino very good location. nice rooms. more

Just returned from 2 nights at the Riviera Hotel celebrating a birthday on a budget! Booked a special through US Airways from Atlanta. $5.00 shuttle to hotel. Best drinks while gambling at the Belagio Hotel. Best food & service at Kady's Cafe at Riviera Hotel. Best roulette for $5.00 minimum and won was Riviera Hotel. Best slots & shots at Hard Rock Hotel/ Pink Taco. Don’t miss ""Thunder from Down Under"" at the Excalibur Hotel. Very fun & tastefully hot Australian dancers. After the show, you can have your picture taken with them & have fun buying at their shop. Vegas is very spread out. Take comfortable shoes. Taxi was about $12.00 no matter where we went. We mostly walked everywhere. Bus was $1.25/ 2.00 but crowded. Each hotel has something fun to see & do. We loved them ALL! Riviera Hotel was perfect: clean & comfortable, friendly, Strip view, and affordable. There’s so much more to see & do, we have to go back! more

To me Vegas is about the experience and some of the theme/large hotel all become indistinguishable and the bottom line is about the quick buck. The Riviera had character and it did not feel like we were just a number. more

We had a great time, clean rooms , casino was big and roomy, Slots are Fun across the street was smaller and little less expensive. Excellent staff was helpful.Bellhop Bill was awesome!!! Fun slot tournament and neat giveaways.\r more

Overall, I can't think of anything bad to say about this hotel. If you are looking for luxurious accomodations, look elsewhere. But for the average guy that just wants a fun hotel In Las Vegas with a nice casino, good beds, and an awesome restaurant, I would highly recommend the Riviera.\r more

This Riviera Casino Hotels accommodations and service is above average and the best value for the money. The location is preferable because it is located on strip but not smack in the heart of the strip so your not overwhelmed with hordes of crowds and traffic. more

what a delightful surprise when someone from your hotel delivered fresh strawberries, white and dark chocolate and champaign as a welcome to me from the media syndication ON THE HOUSE. Since you worked so closely to my beloved co-worker, I shared some with her! i love the staff at the rivera and the quiet atmosphere, even in the casino. we are enjoying your hotel. more
