I've worked out with Carlos from Define Fitness for 3 years now, and I'm not only in better shape, but I have a friend for life. I wanted someone who is knowledgeable about working out and who could encourage me to push myself. Carlos has both of these traits - we continually change my workout with different exercises, different reps, different weights - it's never boring. Just when you think you might finally be getting to the point where you might not be sore the next day, Carlos changes things up.\r

Carlos also is very motivational and encouraging - I had blood clotsin my lungs last October and couldn't work out for a month. My endurance had dropped as had my strength. Carlos was very patient and encouraging - we started back slowly, gradually working up to more weights, and more reps. I'm still not where I was a year ago, but this incident further illustrates how Carlos listens to his clients and prepares a workout that suits that individual.\r

I also introduced my 22-year old daughter to Carlos. She was a true ""beginner"" - had never lifted weights or worked out at all. Carlos changed all that and my daughter became hooked to working out - she loved the different exercises and she was motivated to go to work out because she knew Carlos would be there walking her through how to do an exercise and encouraging her to do more than she thought she could. She now has a trainer at DePaul where she goes to college, but always tells me that ""he's not Carlos"".\r

Melissa and Josh also work for Define Fitness, and although I haven't personally worked out with either of them, I know they all share the same philosophy - listen to the client, understand his/her goals and create a specific workout plan to achieve that goal - and be encouraging as well.\r

I definitely would recommend Define Fitness to anyone - male, female, young, old, gay, straight...it is worth the money and the pain you feel after a great workout!
