He left the yard in a mess and only completed $20,000 worth of work. After almost a year now we still never received any of our money back. \r more

When Kenneth isn't building decks he doesn't need his truck. He probably thought it was a good thing to put a big sign on the truck to advertise. And the best idea he has in his advertising arsenal is to let a child drive the truck through neighborhoods like an old man mowing down people at a farmers market. I know what you're saying, a young kid is driving which means he is going to be going fast; how am I going to have enough time to get the name of the business? You might get caught off guard and think the tacos from last night are making their way through, but it's not the tacos its anything with a drum and bass line cranked up to 11. I'm sure the poor kid can barely grow a beard; the music is blasting so loud from the truck any peach fuzz the child is able to grow is violently shaken off by the bass coming from the stereo system. Please, please hire Kenneth to take his truck to a job where it is needed most. So this young child isn't left to drive a truck like a toy and this kid can have a normal childhood of sitting in front of an Xbox all day in an air conditioned room. So next time you're out on your back porch made up of cinderblocks and a few planks of wood, and the only thing you can hear are the trees rustling? Please give Kenneth a call to upgrade your back porch so maybe there is a chance I could enjoy that quiet too. more

I received three bids to have a patio cover built. Kenneth's bid fell in the middle of the three. I couldn't decided if I wanted to do a free standing structure or one attached to the house. He was thorough in his explanation of how he would build both, what the City requirements were, and priced out both options. The other two bids I received didn't appear to be too familiar with McKinney requirements, one even suggested building it without the permit to save a little dough and bypass the City requirements. After thumbing through his portfolio binder he brought to my appointment and nitpicking his website I decided to go with him. He gave me a plan and a price, and didn't stray away from it. I didn't have any surprise add-on costs. I watched him and his crew do alot of the work. He is hands on and was a pleasure to work with. We are completely happy with the final product. His attention to detail was beyond my expectations. I highly recommend Kenneth. more

This person has multiple complaints with the BBB...however he attempts to ""fix"" his reviews with friends family and shills to up his ratings. If a person has a real business that is successful they don't need to create shills. Shills undermine the consumer rating system. Beware of Kenneth because he may or may not call you back even if he gave HIS WORD. If you placate him you may get some work out of him, if you don't completely pamper Kenny, he melts. He thinks the most benign behavior is a personal afront or a dis and acts accordingly with emails and attacks. Do you really need drama in your life from a contractor? Ask yourself this before you hire him....if he actually comes through and returns a call. Oh yeah and don't ask for references....he freaks out. Approximately 11/09 I had Kenneth give me an estimate to do my patio. At the conclusion of our meeting I asked him for some references. As soon as I asked Kenneth for some references he began to act very strange but said he would email me over some reference the very next day. I waited for about a week but still no email from Kenneth. I then tried to call and email Kenneth but I never received a single call or email back. I then posted a review o Decked out by Kenneth on yahoo stating that Kenneth refused to send me any references and never returned calls. I then started receiving long ranting emails from Kenneth accusing me of trying to ruin his business. I had to ask him to stop emailing and stalking me. On the Yahoo review site Kenneth has been having his own employees namely ""Lillybue"" who said the following: ""Cyrus, Hi unfortunately it was actually me, Lilly who was logged in on Kenneth's email when I wrote that post. I am his marketing/web developer person - I was logged into his account checking requests. My apologies Kenneth. I just want to say one thing, I've know Kenneth for over 5 years now, he's great to work with and I can honestly tell you, all the photos on his website which I am in charge of posting are all his work, you can even see him in some of the photos in the reflection of the windows. I'm really sorry you feel this way about him, those I have referred to him have nothing but good things to say about him and his work. Your doing a good job Kenneth. Keep up the good work."" ~Lilly B. She gave Kenneth a 5 star rating and was trying to appear to be a reviewer and not an employee. Go to the Yahoo review site of Decked out by Kenneth and you will see what Kenneth's shills have been doing. Read why Lillybue had to admit to being the poster of that false and misleading review. The only thing Kennith's shills cannot fix is Kenneth's B rating with the BBB. Cons: lies and his employees make false reviews. more

I highly recommend Decked Out by Kenneth. We just had an arbor built on our patio and Kenneth did a fabulous job. Kenneth handled all of the city and HOA permits which made the whole job very seamless and easy for us. It was completed in a timely manner as promised and the finished product was better than we could have hoped. The price was very competitive (actually less) than other bids we had and Kenneth was extremely helpful in making suggestions to help us design exactly what we wanted.\r \r I'm very glad we found Decked Out by Kenneth more

Decked out by Kenneth finished a patio a couple months ago and I found he did an amazing job. I had a short schedule to finish my patio cover and he did it ahead of schedule. (2 days on a weekend with nothing but superior quality). I do not usually comment on these blogs but the amount of joy we've had so far enjoying our patio deserves a comment. Thanks for the great job Kenneth...... I will be happy to give you a reference any time. We are outside watching a movie on our patio as I type this..... Cheers. 04/22/2010 \r Highly Recommend Decked Out by Kenneth\r I found Ken to be highly professional both in his own personal manner as well as his building skills. Ken and his crew where quite responsible and timely with their building of my patio. We were lucky to only have a few rain delays, but Ken isn't in charge of the weather, and when it cleared up they were working early and late. Ken's and his crew are dependable and skillful. I knew my patio would be a nice shady place for my family to enjoy, but was awed by the beauty of the stained cedar and gorgeous craftmanship. Ken answered my calls 95% of the time and the other 5% he always returned my calls promptly when I left a message. Ken is an easy going guy who goes with the flow when you want to add this or that too!
