Cut & Color 11/17/2011

I am very happy with the Salon and my stylist. Megan is very sweet and attentive. I am very happy with my color and I have been recommending Megan and the DayBreak salon when I receive compliments on my hair. I am very happy I found you. Unfortunately, I am on disability with a small income and cannot afford to experience your other salon services but I'm sure they are wonderful too. Happy Holidays! Linda more

Service provided was nice enough but pricing for service provided not 11/17/2011

I had a 60 minute massage scheduled but because I was late, I had gotten a 30 minute massage so the therapist didn't run into the next clients time. This was fine with me but I should not have been charged for a 60 minute massage. Only the 30 minute massage I received. If I had been late for a hair appointment (color / cut) and she only had time to do the color so not to run into the next appointment, would they charge for the cut anyway? I don't think so. I will not be back. more

Great haircut 11/15/2011

I have been a client at Daybreak for a few years and have enjoyed great haircuts, friendly service and even one pedicure. All A's!!! This last time, my regular stylist was not in when I dropped in for a "spur of the moment haircut." I still got a great cut. Thanks, Daybreak!!! more

Modern salon, helpful and talented stylists, very good experience 11/13/2011

My stylist cut my hair very short and spent time teaching me how to style it. I left looking and feeling great. After washing my hair the morning after it was cut, I realized I wanted a bit my hair a bit shorter, and they made time for me that morning. Great experience, and I'm looking forward to going back. more

The cut was perfect, exactly what I asked for. My color touch up was decent, a small section where I part my hair was missed. The temperature of the salon was freezing, next time I'll wear my long johns. more

I had my hair done by Devon and Carrie, since my girl was out for the day. She worked very hard to fix my haircut that was a challenge since I had recent surgery on my head and had a large shaved area. I got lots of positive comments today on my new cut. Thanks so much! more

Mani/Ped 11/10/2011

The tech was very nice but the the nail polish was irregular/uneven along the sides. The product was shellac and started peeling/chippping after three days. I noticed the nails after leaving but was going on vacation and couldn't go back to have it changed. I was very disappointed. more

  • The history of Daybreak Salon began in 1973, when Mary Toffoli opened "Mary's Beauty Boutique" in Southgate, Michigan. Two years later, Mary married Gary Rushlow and soon changed the name of their salon to "Headway". For over 30 years, Mary and Gary owned and operated their salon while raising three children, Jacob, Jerad and Jenee. Jerad and Jenee followed their parents into the family business and in the fall of 2007, a new chapter was born with the grand opening of "Daybreak Salon & Spa" in Woodhaven, Michigan. Here at Daybreak, the tradition of great talent, professionlism and history of treating each client as a guest continues for the next generation.
