Color Policy 2/10/2012

I think the stylists are very talented, but I don't care for the color policy. I had my hair highlighted with product that allowed the color to "come up slowly" to allow my stylist to take another customer. At 70 minutes past my appt time, I was still sitting waiting for the color to be taken off. Highlight and cut takes 1 1/2 hours. I think this is disrespectfuly of the customer's time. Therefore, I will be looking elsewhere. more

Pedi 2/10/2012

The experience was great, very relaxing. Impressed that they used real coffee cups not plastic! The only downside was during the pedi, the technician did not clean around the nails. Usually, in other salons, they would use tools to clean around the entire nail, removing dead cells. Other than that, it was great! It is worth the little extra cost to have the hot rocks!! more

not satisfied 2/8/2012

Not satisfied with last visit. I felt I was an inconvenience to my stylist. She cut my sides uneven, didn't thank me for coming, didn't say bye to me. I won't be returning to daybreak, I felt bad when I left. more

An amazing, relaxing experience 2/6/2012

I had the Carribean pedicure done by Kayla and it was absolutely wonderful. The best part was that there were two other ladies and pedicurists in the room with me and we all carried on conversations with each other which made it a great experience. I would recommend this service and Kayla to all my friends! I also got my hair cut and styled that day by Shaun who was awesome and listened to my concerns and needs and did exactly what I wanted. I am not easy to please when it comes to my hair and she did a great job. I will definitely be going back to see her! more

Lizz,,,,,,, Seriously, I do not get many "spa treatments", so it is a real treat for me when I get one,,,and Lizz gave me the best pedicure I have ever had,,,,indeed! Smoothest my feet have been since birth! LOL Thanks...and looking forward to the next time more

  • The history of Daybreak Salon began in 1973, when Mary Toffoli opened "Mary's Beauty Boutique" in Southgate, Michigan. Two years later, Mary married Gary Rushlow and soon changed the name of their salon to "Headway". For over 30 years, Mary and Gary owned and operated their salon while raising three children, Jacob, Jerad and Jenee. Jerad and Jenee followed their parents into the family business and in the fall of 2007, a new chapter was born with the grand opening of "Daybreak Salon & Spa" in Woodhaven, Michigan. Here at Daybreak, the tradition of great talent, professionlism and history of treating each client as a guest continues for the next generation.
