David Witchell Salon And Spa

Went to David Witchell Salon today went to the second floor found a beautiful bracelet for $328 that I would love to have bought. One problem, one sales girl stood so close to my friend that she could feel her breathing on her neck. My girlfiend moves out of her way and the girl moved up very close to her again. Meanwhile I have a girl staring at me. I asked them to please move out of the way and they said it was there job. I told my friend lets go I have never been treated so rude in my life. They treated us like we were going to rob the place. We walked down stair and I told a gentleman at the front desk that I have never been so humiliated in my life. He lost a great sale. more

I just cut 11.5"" of hair off to donate to Pantene Beautiful Lengths and I could not be any happier with my new style. I had been planning to donate for awhile but just didn't have the time to get in. Joey my stylist took his time in styling my new haircut, never rushed even though I was his last appointment and a complete new style was not what we had planned--just a trim so the appointment time doubled. I appreciate the time that they spend with you, studying your hair, creating a style that they feel fits your look, face structure and personality. It really shows that they know what they are doing and you are paying for their experience and talent. I highly recommend their services to anyone looking for professional input on a new style, a great cut or new look or to be given the royal treatment. Thank you so much!! more

I went to all of the trouble to join City Search because I saw the silly and incorrect comment below...which had nothing to do with David Witchell's beautiful salon and everything to do with an immature world view. I grew up with holes in my sneakers (in the 1970s...the last time Democrats held all three houses and ran the economy into the ground ruining my Dads small town business with high taxes and high gas prices...but I digress)...and most people in Newtown are not rich! as she imagines...but ordinary folks who have worked very hard and still wonder if they can pay their mortgage if taxes go up more...while having to borrow for their own kids education...while seemingly financing the rest of the world's without their so much as a say so. Our kids work...and one is delivering pizza as we speak with a recent college degree. But back on topic of Davids' Salon. It is a beautiful Salon that treats everyone with charm, whether they are wearing Prada or not. You might come in in your mom pants...but they treat you like a model. I believe this attitude comes right from David who though extremely talented and successful...treats everyone he meets with kindness. The people who cut your hair or whatever service you need...also treat you very well...and are personally trained when coming to David Witchell's until he feels that they meet the expectations of his Salon. There is a reason a business does as well and David Witchell's...and it is quality and service. Now pray God may taxes go down...so that small businesses who are the fruit of brave, talented and creative people...can continue to provide goods, services and jobs to other hard working people. That...is called freedom. more

ah, who the hell can stand those rich ass prissy women? I guess the other women who go there too, they're all the effin same. Drive a Bmw or Mercedes and have a Louis Vuitton bag. It makes me sick to live in this area sometimes. I like my hair to look good too but I could never go there because I can't stand these status symbol rich housewive bitches, and let me tell you, I've worked in Yardley for a long time and all of you women think you're better than working class people, you're pathetic. You have nothing better to do but spend your husbands hard earned money on 8,000 dollar bags and be a pain in everyone's ass. Who the hell could stand to be around people like that all day? I have been to many spas all over the US, but David Witchell is by far the best. You are truely in Eden while you are there. I have turned many people onto this place and don't stray won't go anywhere else. Make sure you elect to take a steam shower before you leave, it is the perfect way to end your experience. more

So, I'm one of those girls who doesn't like to spend a lot on haircuts cause I have rarely ever gotten a satisfying haircut when the cut cost me a fortune. This Thanksgiving break, however, I decided to go to DJW cause one of my friends said that this salon was incredible and when I searched it up on citysearch, I read through all the stellar reviews and decided it was worth a try and worth a splurge.\r \r Not only was the money a concern for me at first but also the haircut itself cause I was going to try a pixie cut even though I have never cut my hair shorter than a slightly shorter than shoulder-length bob.\r \r Well... once I stepped into the salon and met Matthew and started talking, all my worries flew out the window. Matt is THE BEST STYLIST I have ever met! Well worth the $60 he charges for his haircuts.\r \r From the smile he greeted me with, to helping me put on my coat, Matt gave his all in everything. He gave me such a sexy pixie cut that fits my face shape perfectly, gave me brilliant styling tips, and kept me well entertained throughout the whole process, with his talk of music and snowboarding, while still staying extremely attentive to the cut. Most importantly though, you can tell that Matt loves his job, and when it comes to anything creative, it's important that the person loves what they're doing because it shows in their finished product.\r \r Needless to say, I will definitely be going back. If you want a beautiful haircut that you can flaunt and feel sexy in, I recommend DJW. Even more than my recommendation for this Salon, though, I recommend Matt, with ALL MY HEART! Welcome home to David J. Witchell is literally my experience. Spending the past 3 years in Centre City I returned to Bucks County and after some research found DJW is still the only gig around. I grew up with Jeannine also of DJW as my stylist during my high school and home from college days I haven't been able to get an appointment with her as she is always booked up. I highly recommend her as well. However this review is about Toniann. I came to Toniann not having had a cut in about 6 weeks. I allowed her to take some liberties and freedoms in the way she cut and styled my hair, in a way its a test of the stylists' imagination, similar to playing a golf course for the first time and not having any 'course knowledge'. The results were just what I was hoping for. She took her time and I was impressed with not only the care she took but her precision and attention to detail. She was intent in making sure I was pleased with the results. It also doesn't hurt that not only is she a sweetheart, but that she happens to be as cute as a button. So mom's your boys will be most pleased with you for taking them to Toniann. Especially if you're having trouble getting them to clean their rooms... -Anonymous Client more

Wow, Jack is definitely a mess and I am sorry to say I kept giving him chances. He holds you hostage for hours and then when your color comes out too dark he applies something else - and there you sit $$$$. He gossips, he HATES DAVID and his wife (the russian lady) but as soon as they walk by boy does he turn on the charm- he has no respect and no integrity what so ever. He bitches about his job, the people he works with, his wife, his bratty son and the percocet /oxycodone he took/takes (no wonder he loses focus). Amazed he hasnt been fired! Stay away from JACKASS. So- I found Jack here after reading all these great reviews about him and I think his friends and family are falsifying reviews here. I was scheduled for a highlight & cut. After keeping me waiting for 30 min, my hair ended up darker than when I walked in the door (this was a highlight apt, not a lowlight!). Jack's response was, ""as the glaze washes out it will look great in 6 weeks."" I asked him to try to fix it since I wanted it to look good- well- NOW- 'ya know? He couldn't really get the glaze out and he got so frustrated that he started to brush my long, wet hair with a paddle brush which only yanked it out. There was also some client who walked in without an appointment- her name was Harriett and apparently client #1, so he dropped me between the color and cut to style her hair for the evening. Real class act- I will not be going back to him anytime in the near future! Pros: At least he tried to fix it Cons: terrible color/cut more

The staff at David Witchell are incredibly talented, giving me the best color I've ever had. I've gone to reputable New York and Philadelphia salons, but hands down David Witchell's talented staff competes with them all. I now sit with Jason, who is a genius with his color applications!! I've never been so happy with both my cut and color. Mikki is also terrific. I sat with her for years, and have always been happy with her styling and color. I would recommend this salon hands down!! I just moved to the area and was looking for a place to get full-service, (hair, nails, massage etc). My boyfriend purchased a full salon and spa day for me for which I received a massage, a facial, a spa mani/pedi, lunch, cut and style and makeup, so I got to see what this salon and spa could do. I also had visited once before for basic pedicure. I can tell you their hair and make-up people were phenomenal. I definitely found my new stylist in Nikki L. Kasey did my make-up and it looked amazing.\r \r However, I've definitely gotten better massages and facials elsewhere at places that were not as touted. They were good, they just were not great. I do have to say that I really liked my masseuse. So, I felt the issue with the massage was it was just the type of massage I got rather than her. She did a great job for what it was.\r \r The biggest weakness is their manicures and pedicures. I've paid half the price and less even for MUCH better job. They half-ass it for both the regular and spa mani/pedis. DO NOT EVER PAY FOR THE SPA MANI/PEDI, get the regular. Trust me, the only real difference between them is the price. I hopped around for a few years before settling on DW to get my hair done, but I know I made the right choice. I have finally found a stylist who I try to go to every time (Brooke), but I am always happy. I like Brooke's work because she understands what I want despite my inability to articulate it! Sometimes the music in the hair area is a bit too ""hip"" to be soothing, but in general it's comfortable... and they have great coffee. The staff is friendly and the spa is wonderful beyond words! I have been a client of jack's at David Witchell salon for about 3 years. I always love both my color and cuts. I recently wanted to do something different, add some highlights to brighten up my look. I trusted jack to do what he thought would best compliment my cut and color. Like always, I am completely satisfied! My new coppery/caramel highlights look great with my brown hair and make the layers in the cut stand out. Even though its always busy in there, it always seems that everyone loves working there and its contagious. I highly recommend Jack, him and his assistant really know how to pamper a lady. Once again I feel like a new woman. I love going to David Witchell Salon. The friendly staff always makes me feel so comfortable when I am there. (lol I guess thats why they answer the phones with Welcome Home to David Witchell because thats how you feel when your there). Jason has been cutting and coloring my hair for some time now and he always manages to give me a new style. Whether it is a very subtle change or a more drastic one I never feel like I am stuck in a rut with my hair and I still get compliments 8 weeks later when I am going back again. Thanks again Jason! JADE was pleasant, professional and highly skilled (Thanks Jade!!!!!) and the environment is what one would expect from a classy establishment. I recently started going to David Witchell salon and I love it. I am always in Newtown for business so I called to make an appt on a referral from a client to sit with Jack. I had a great experience from start to finish. The front desk staff greeted me with a smile when I checked in. No sooner had I sat down Jack's assistant called me back. Before she washed my hair, Jack came over to introduce himself and hear what I wanted to do with my hair. I have very thin, shoulder length hair. I wanted to keep the length but give it some life. My cut is great! He layered it just right so I'm able to blowdry and have some volume. What topped it off was that while he was cutting I asked him how to get shine in my hair. All of the products that say they give shine just make my hair flat. Jack suggested that I get a glaze. I was thrilled! He put the glaze on and blew my hair dry. It's been 3 weeks since my appt and I still see shine and my cut looks like it was just done. I will be back in 4 weeks to see Jack again. I highly recommend the salon, Jack especially!! David j Witchell is by far the best salon I have ever been to. They do such an amazing job on my hair and the cut and color lasts so long that I get compliments weeks after getting it done. I finally have a stylist that I love. No more hopping around to different salons. I had my haircut and colored by Jack last Friday. I love it. The style lasted all weekend. I am actually able to do my own hair and have it look as though Jack did it. My cuts last 8-12 weeks and usually look as good then as when it was cut last.\r I always get compliments on my hair cut and color. I would definetly reccomend Jack. more

I just had my hair cut, it has been many years, due to me not trusting stylists with the outcome. Well the days of going to my car afterwards and breaking out in tears is over. My hair is long, but Jack gave me a great new look. Not too much off that I can no longer say I have long hair but enough cut that it my hair actually looks very stylish. Just what I needed. A great haircut can elevate your mood for a long time..Thanks, JACK.......By the way my daughter has her hair highlighted by Jack and it looks amazing.
