Derrell S. did an outstanding job on the small plumbing job that we called Dan Wood Company about last week. Within the hour of arriving at our home, he had assessed the problem and had all the parts updated and replaced. After I had written out the check to pay Derrell and he had left, I came back inside the house only to realize that I had forgotten to give Derrell the $25.00 coupon I had clipped from the telephone book. I called him on his work phone, and he said he would turn around and take care of difference. Within a couple minutes he was back at the door to make things right with our bill. The pilot light on our Rheem hot water heater kept turning off. The Service Professional (Fred) was very helpful and extremely competent. He dismantled the burner compartment and cleaned it along with cleaning the flame sensor. The only reason I gave 4 stars out of 5 was no reflection on the service professional but rather the expensive price Dan Wood Company charged us. $228 less a $30 discount for a refrigerator magnet coupon - total bill $198. more

Chris came to our home on Monday, March 2nd in response to our request regarding problems with our water, even though we had notified the Kalamazoo Water Dept. Chris assessed that our water softener probably took care of most of the rust sediment in the water. Chris shared with us ideas on what we should consider to assist in remedying the issue. Because of what we observed in Chris's character and professionalism, we decided to have him install a new water softener and make some changes in a couple of plumbing areas. Our new softener was installed 2 days later. We have been impressed and completely satisfied with previous Dan Wood servicemen and Chris not only furthered our confidence in using the Dan Wood Co, but we were greatly impressed with Chris. Steve B. showed up on time in extremely bad weather to troubleshoot my misbehaving furnace. He quickly diagnosed the problem as a plugged air supply and shoveled a nice walk through the snow so he could show me the issue without standing in waste deep snow in the window well. Steve had to come home a few times to fix a leaking pipe on an old jacuzzi tub. He was very professional, always on time and cleaned up completely after every time he worked. The job was made very difficult by the old pipes and the awkward location under the jacuzzi. The job was rather expensive because of the new faucet and time it took to install, but it was completed very professionally to my satisfaction. more

We had a backed up toilet and called the Dan Wood Company. We've had wonderful service, in the past, and this visit was no different. We called around 8AM and had a plumber at our house within two hours. Our plumber, Chris Rogers, gave us a few options and detailed each one. He gave the pros and cons for each but did not pressure or hassle us to go with the most expensive one. We ended up getting a new toilet (the old toilet had been in since the 70s) and had it installed about an hour later. Mr. Rogers was pleasant and professional. He was confident in his work and explained everything that he was doing. The Dan Wood Company has always provided excellent service with their technicians and Chris Rogers displayed the highest level of respect to both his trade, company, and the customer.
