The folks at Custom Air are wonderful down to earth people. After obtaining several bids for a complete replacement A/C system, I decided to go with Custom Air. First and foremost, they had exact if not comparable systems that i was looking at near or below cost of other companies. But they saved me thousands of dollars by pointing out that the systems i was looking at included some ""hi Tech"" frills that really were not necessary. these options such as remote diagnostics and the such worked great but why pay thousands extra only to make the repair companies not to have to go up in the attic to diagnose the issues? I would rather have them look at it ""hands on"" and diagnose it. So I took their recommendation and selected a system without these frills ans saved thousands. Second, the techs that removed the old system and installed the new system were efficient and careful with my home. Afterwards the techs that followed to actually connect and start up the new unit were here and ready to take over. They got my new unit up and running in no time. My new system has saved HUNDREDS off my heating and cooling bills immediately after install. It is fantastic on how efficient the new systems are these days if you select the right one. The owner Angel promised me immediate savings and sure enough he was right, I figure the new system will pay for itself in less than 4 yrs! After a few months the winter came and I had issues. I called for service and service dept was prompt and courteous. Well it turns out I had to have a couple of repeat calls for the same issue, the heating would kick on the kick off after a couple of minutes. They apologized for having to return but promised to stick with it until resolved. Turns out the problem all along was a clog in the vent line on the house itself, not in the new unit. It was a very tricky problem, but they stuck through it just as they promised an never charged me for service even though the issue was in my home vent lines. All in all my experience with Custom Air has been wonderful. I would highly recommend this company for all your A/C needs! Robert G. more

Thieves... plain and simple. Avoid Custom Air Systems. The "tech" they sent out did everything he could to sell me a new system and never tried to find a Freon leak yet called the inside coil bad. Weird thing... he never went in the attic to check. Not to worry, we found an honest tech who didn't show up with a new system already loaded in the back of his truck. more

Here's What Actually Happened 12/7/2011

We have over 27 years in the business with thousands of customers, and an accredited A+ rating with the BBB, not sure how much more reputable you can find. However there's always someone not happy. On 8/29/11, Mr Marks arrived at customer's house and was told that the customer had someone out previously and knew he had a leak in his coil and wanted some refrigerant and a replacement price on an upgraded coil different from the one he had and that the other company had not gotten back with him. Mr Mark's offered to perform a leak test to verify leaking coil but customer refused and just demanded he add the refrigerant. Mr Marks measured 24.7 pounds of refrigerant in his bottle before pumping in any into customers system, then measured 20.9 pounds when it was full. He then proceeded to explain to customer that there was no guarantee on how long it would last in his system due to the leak and customer acknowledged. Then on 9/27/11, he called again with the same problem and wanted a technician out. Again Mr Marks found same problem and gave him a price for the upgraded coil he wanted installed which was $1500. The price for the warranty replacement of the same one he had was $875. The customer acknowledged and again demanded that Mr Marks add the refrigerant. He measured 17.4 pounds in his bottle before pumping any into his system then 12.9 when he was complete. We charged industry standard for service call and refrigerant. The customer may have misunderstood the price quotes, but Mr Marks gave him exactly what he was asking for and an alternative solution. more

Beware 10/10/2011

Technician Paul Marks added refrigerant to my A/C unit and billed me for 4 pounds, but less than 2 pounds were added. He then provided a quote to replace the coil that was more than double what other companies charge. I suggest you find a more reputable company; I will. more
