I'm shocked to read bad reviews of Crossroads. I have had several animal emergencies over the years, and the staff at Crossroads have always been competent, empathetic and caring. Even with the "grooming accident" on an elderly cat, they did not scold me (I had tried to cut a mat out, and instead cut her skin), and assured me I was not the first, nor would I be the last to do this. The other time that stands out in my mind is with my old Chow, Apollo. He had been diagnosed with chest tumors, and I wasn't sure how long he had. On a blistering hot holiday weekend, he went into respiratory distress, and I couldn't bear to see him suffer until a business day. The staff and doctors at Crossroads treated me with kindness and sympathy, and allowed me time to be with him as they sent him on his way to Rainbow Bridge. There have been other, more minor visits, but they have always been wonderful. Yes, their rates have gone up considerably, but all vet fees seem to have quadrupled in the last 10
