Ok...For starters, this was not a simple "boy meets guitar, boy buys guitar" sort of a deal. The high-end vintage 0-21 Martin I wanted required multiple trade-ins for me to even consider pulling it off and Joe was about as patient and honest and generous as a human could be. End result... I ordered a Kala U-Bass (for zeros, a relatively new invention in the world of ukuleles - 4 thick, poly-something strings on a baritone uke platform, patented by Kala and whoever invented those short bass strings), and found out quickly from Cream City they had oversold. They were very nice in keeping me informed along the way until they were able to get one for me. They even gave me a discount for the delay. This is great considering the instrument is in great demand and the price just keeps on going up. The instrument arrived in good shape, was easy to get in tune, and a delight to play. I'm not a bassist, yet, but with a few more lessons and a lot of practice I will be able to sit in any jam with my UBass. Thanks, again, Cream City more

It arrived Friday last week and a friend took delivery (I was out of town) It was packaged with the care only a guitar lover could appreciate. Just received my 5120 Gretsch guitar. I was amazed to find everything set up and ready to go right out of the box. Even the intonation was right on and the "dreaded" foam had been removed from under the bridge. Can't thank you folks enough. more

This is a grown-up's music store. I'm a gigging musician and can't stand GC and the like. This place has a great inventory, knowledgable staff and great service. Their return policy on used gear is very liberal, though I've never had to use it. Also, their vintage and Gretsch department is the best I've seen anywhere. more

To Ben D. and all of the folks on board at Cream City Music...bravo!!! Classy bunch of folks!!! This last Friday evening my wife and I drove up from Gurnee, IL to look for a guitar for her. I am teaching her to play after many years of being married...(you go girl!). We were persuaded by your lady on the phone to take a road trip up to your store. OK...so on our way up, we were about to give it up when we hit a bunch of lousy Friday night traffic on the interstate that accompanied us. Long snarling traffic...yuck! But I must tell you folks...the pain in the a** of a drive melted away right after we got inside of your store, and started to check out all of the really nice guitars! Choices!!! And, after we got back home with our new Seagull S6 and Takamine EF340 SCGN acoustic guitars (that Ben D. sold us) we really felt good about the overall experience and friendliness of your staff. Not only do these two awesome guitars play and sound wonderful, the sincerity and appreciative attitude that we both felt about our experience at your store made the long drive worth doing. We look forward to becoming a regular customers in the future, even though we will be putting a few more miles to do so...well worth it! And just to cap the rap... I have been playing this new Takamine for bunches of hours since we got back home, and I put on those new Martin strings...WOW! I can't wait to use it on stage with the band!
