One star is the best that I can give 5/19/2012

One star is the best that I can give this school. After completing two years at CCA, it didn't take me long to realize that this school was/is a joke. I was in the Radiology program. It starts out very simple and it's as if as though the "instructors" genuinely care about teaching and the student's success. Wrong. Except for TWO of the teachers, the rest only have their Associate's Degree. They read off of the provided Power Point presentations, and if asked a question, the teacher(s) have to look through the text book to find the answer. Pros: null Cons: null more

Not so bad afterall 12/16/2010

Hello I graduated in 2006 from the Tampa Florida location an from my experience Concorde was very helpful for myself. There was wonderful instructor at that time, also wonderful job placement advisor. Before I reached my last term there were 3 job interviews waiting on me plus three numbers to call and speak to the office manager who was waiting on my call. I graduated an was hired on my extern ship meaning I receive pay an had the job. It was a upscale Endodontic office with I choose. I was excited because I told my placement advisor if there was a Endo office available thats what I wanted to go for I stayed there for a year and advanced to something more challenging my career is good making good pay i just wanted to put my experience out there because if you want something you have to go out there and get it, you can expect for something to be handed down to you. I'm a Dental Assistant Graduate of 2006 an it took more than the school help, it to my courage an knowledge along with more

You are not truly adult until you take responsibility for yourself. 12/11/2010

Wow, I have read a lot of poor reviews here. So much so that I was compelled to share my story.\r \r I went to Concorde Career Institute for surgical technology. The instructors were professional enough to get the information across in a concise manner. I found them helpful with instruction on the material but slightly less helpful on how to land a job. Yet there was a job board filled with jobs and the health care field is expanding every day.\r \r About six months before I graduated I got a job at a hospital. It did not matter what kind of job I just wanted to have a foot in the door, somewhere ( I was hired as a materials assistant with no experience except the only reason I got the job was because I was enrolled at Concorde). I did not want to fight among my class mates for a limited number of available internships. By the time I had graduated I had arranged to perform my internship at my hospital. The hospital was happy, they saw this as volunteer work hours and I was able to receive more

Think Twice 12/7/2010

I graduated from the insurance billing and coding class two months ago in San Diego. Today is 12-6-10. I still have not found work. All the jobs I apply to require at least 2 years experience. Even temp agencies require at least 6 months experience. Well, I don't have the experience. I went to school so I could get a job to get the experience. Anyway, I really enjoyed the classroom courses and I do believe I learned a lot, but what good is it if no one will hire me for lack of experience? That's my biggest gripe, but it's a very important one. For all the jobs I'm qualified to do, I could have stayed where I was, not gone to school at Concorde, and I would not be thousands of dollars in the hole! Don't go to Concorde and expect to get a job when you have completed the course. more

Do your homework before committing to this school! 11/6/2010

I was strongly considering the medical assistant program at Concorde Jacksonville Fl. For starters the admissions personnel seem to process people out of their office like they were cattle. I was in the admission reps office for over 2 hours and she kept getting phone calls, leaving to check on people taking tests etc. I did not feel like I was getting her prompt attention. I had seen another rep there previously but within a month he had left their employment.\r As for the financial aid--the rep there just told me to get a pin #, and fill out forms over the internet, I told her I needed assistance and she said I had to do this on my own! They also told me not to tell any other school that I even had a pin #. \r \r Although the class schedule totally fits my lifestyle, I have read these reviews and asked other people who have graduated from concorde and/or are doing their externship, and have gotten many reviews against this school. It's a big and expensive step---be careful who you more

CONCORDE SCAM 10/20/2010

I just graduated from Jacksonville FL Concorde institute nursing program. The school is a joke. The instructors are unqualified. All they do is read power-points in the class and that?s it. Clinicals are in nursing homes and 80% of clinicals is CNA work. Why pay $27000 to $39000 to learn to be a CNAs or Dietary Aides. The graduation rate is less than 50%. They will kick you out for any reason after having taken your money. They do not care. They are in the business of sucking as much money as they can from ignorant students. They try to expel as many students as possible before graduation, in an attempt to keep the NCLEX pass rates high, by graduating a few and only the best students. This is a school whose interest is simply to pull in the maximum cash for the least effort. Their victims can go to hell as long as they make more money.\r The teaching staff turnover is also very high--a revolving door. The management is disorganized, disinterested and inept. \r There is also a whiff more

an angry student 10/18/2010

Concorde will tell you whatever you want to hear to get you to enroll. After that it's all down hill. I was told that after my first term i would be getting my CNA and help with finding a good job to help with the bills that would work around my school scheduele. \r This is a down right lie, after completing first term I asked about getting help with my CNA endorsement and they told me to google it. I have watched a number of hard working students get pushed out of this school. I wouldn't recomend Concorde to anyone.... more

SPN 10/2/2010

I am a current Concorde student in Aurora, I graduate in 8 weeks, and am doing my best to stick it out. I was mislead from the beginning, by admissions, about clinical sites, days I would be in school, the hours etc. I got sucked in, and spent 30k, NO CREDITS will transfer, so once you start you are stuck. Ive went through over 3 different instructors in just one term of clinicals. I also had a clinical instuctor that was an alcholic and suspected meth addict, All of my clinical sites have been in the "ghetto's", with very bad care. ( Tracheostomys being cleaned with tap water, meds at the bed sides, 1 butterfly IV used several time over on the same lady)... I get no help with financial aid, after paying 4k cash, and 11k in FASFA, I have to beg and be turned down just to get an additional loan, (that can only be school related, they do not care if your homeless, I ASKED), It is very unorganized, you DO NOT get what you have to put into it, Im currently doi ng 33 plus hrs a week IN SCH more

Run and Don't Look Back!!! 5/20/2010

This school is a RIP-OFF. I was in the Billing and Coding program. Luckily, I had good coding instructors and you will learn alot. But Concorde is a business, a corporate mind set. "Get their money and the hell with them afterwards" is the impression I got from them. Going through a 7-month program, and achieving 4 Director's Awards, I'm told that I wouldn't get my diploma if I could not do the 40 hr a week for 4 weeks non-paying externship. I already work full-time shift hours with a lot of overtime. Their Graduate Services department, and I use the word "Services" loosely, is one big joke. They could care less about you. Also, former coding graduates would come visit my class and admit that they were still out of work. Contact with former classmates tell me the same thing. I've decided that I don't need the school's diploma. I'm still working full time, but when I decide to go job hunting for part time coding work, I will present the director's awards and my high average more

If you are considering attending Concorde, I strongly advise you to consider all other options first. I am not intending Concorde is "bad" school, im hinting it is not this "best". I am a Respiratory therapy student. I enjoy the material and have fin at school, but i sometimes question wether i made the right decision choosing concorde. One of the big benefits Concorde offers for RT is a RRT and degree program which is hard to find and a necesitity to getting a job after graduation. more

Concorde Career College Aurora, CO 7/28/2009

They blew me off when I called and asked about how much the program cost....this made me suspicious so i started looking for any comments about them. Wow, I'm definitely not going to waste my money going to this school! more

Concorde Career College 7/11/2009

This is an adult vocational "college" with roughly 48 percent turnaround, a high drop out rate, and many unsatisfied students who often have difficulty getting jobs after graduation. more

Concorde Career College 7/11/2009

Concorde Career College has a very high staff and student turnaround. They hire and fire "teachers" and drop students both as quickly as they can bring them in. "Teachers" must have high approval ratings from their students in order to keep their jobs. "Students" are allowed to act out in class, skip many classes, and still pass. They are allowed to take tests multiple times. Classes are triple the cost of Community College of Aurora or Community College of Denver. These are not opinions. These are facts. Also, it is no longer called Concorde Career Institute. They have changed their name to Concorde Career College. Pros: They offer possibly effective education at high costs Cons: 48 percent turnaround, profit over educationl, low standards more

How do they stay in business? 4/3/2009

I called and emailed this institution requesting information about their nursing program. I was told that they would not give me a price unless I went down and had an interview with them. The (very rude) woman told me that this was company policy. After reading some of the reviews online about them, I am understanding why this is. I told them that I would not take time off from work until I knew as much information about them as every other school (most of whom have all this information posted very accessibly on their website). I realize they don't have a waiting list, but they definitely lost my business. I'd rather wait. more

DO NOT GO TO CONCORDE! 2/18/2009

I'm currently an RN student here. This is the worst school EVER! They hire teachers that are not qualified to teach their classes, their administration could care less about the students and they just want your money. At one point last session all but 4 of our students we're failing a class. We we're told it was our fault and not the instructors fault. I would not recommend this college (if you can call it that) to anyone. DO NOT GO TO CONCORDE. It is more trouble than it is worth. Just wait to go somewhere else. more

Beware 6/23/2008

Radiology program is a joke. It appears ok until your in. Not a good place to consider getting an education if you want a job after. Please think before you enroll.. more

Really costly experience 5/30/2008

Yes very high priced.... other colleges will not accept tranfered credits from there. ask at different community colleges what they think about this type of education..Do your homework before you make a commitment more

They want you to fail!!! 4/8/2008

This "career institue" wants you to fail and charges 3 times what other schools do! It is located in Aurora, Colorado.\r Instructors openly discuss with joy at how many people in their class will fail! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL As an instructor I thought they would help the students but they would rather fail everyone then actually tech (bottom of the barrel instructors tend to do that).\r \r Avoid this career institue at all costs!\r Go anywhere else more

Not a bad school but priced high 11/18/2005

While they gave me the education in order to pass the nursing board they charge way to much for that education. So make sure that it is trully worth the money before enrolling. I had gone through 3 DON at the time. My teacher were quiting left and right and with out notifying the students. Poor Management to handle this issues. more
