What a scam Conch Reality is!!!\r Beware of false charges on your credit card when you return from Your vacation. \r The cleaning of the home is less than acceptable. They charge $224.00 for the cleaning fee\r This doesn't include sanitizing bathrooms cleaning under beds, they expect you to start the laundry before you leave. Have dishes done garbages empty ,glass door cleaned.. Excuse me what does that 224.00 cover excatly?? I'm on vacation not here to clean your home!!!!\r They billed us an ""extra cleaning fee of $175.00 on top of the 224.00.. When we asked for receipts they produced hand written ones! I don't think so!!. Clair is very unprofessional and yells and becomes a crazy person when challenged. I'm sorry after paying $3200 for the week and leaving the house clean I'm not paying fraudulent charges\r The home was beautiful and I hope the owners are aware Because of this Reality company I will never rent from them again. Very dissapointed.\r Oh and don't call them for anything when your there because once you've paid to stay they could careless about ya!!! EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL more

Just returned from a vacation in Marathon FL. We booked a home through Conch Realty and it was the worst experience with a rental company since we've been going down to the keys for the past 10 years. Professionalism isn't a term that they are familiar with at this company. One of the agents, Clare comes across as compliant at first but when it came to money, that southern charm went south. They charge a $225.00 cleaning fee and let me tell you it doesn't cover much. Be prepared to bring your own cleaning supplies because the cleaning service doesn't want to have to do anymore than they need to. Cleaning under the beds apparently isn't standard practice with them. Nor is ""properly cleaning and sanitizing"" the bathroom. We noticed some repairs that the house needed and when I mentioned them in conversation, she told me that I should have called them in. I was taken aback by this statement as they are they management company for this property and they should be going in after each turn over to check on it. Even the landscaper for the grounds popped his head in to make sure everything was good. Conch Realty charged our credit card without informing us prior to and when I asked for receipts for some linens that I agreed to compensate only after I saw proof - they sent me a handwritten one. They insulted and yelled at my family member when they called to find out why their credit card was charged. Clare will not let you speak as she is an over talker so if you have an issue - do it in writing (that is if you absolutely have to rent from them), Unfortunately for the owners of the beautiful home, this is one place that we will not go back to again and the people that we did recommend it to we've already told to move onto something else. I mean for $225.00 cleaning fee and you have to start the laundry process for them and it doesn't include basic cleaning such as under beds - I think there is a scam going on here. Don't bring kids either because the cleaning service will get upset if fingerprints are in the glass doors and they'll have to clean it! Avoid this company if you can. more

Dirty house..when arrived spent 3 hours cleaning food stuck to walls baseboards and food stuck to floor...there was a strong urine smell in master bathroom and found worse then PUBLIC BATHROOM THERE WAS PEE UNDER AND BEHIND EVERY TOILET AND ON FLOOR!!\r Ok now I got that out...that was not the worse..Toilets were not caulked in and one downstairs be careful it moves not even bolted down..definitely code violation ....Also BE AWARE OF EXPOSED WIRES OUTSIDE AND IN ATTIC CABLES COMPANY SAID ELECTRICIAN NEEDS TO COME AS IT IS A FIRE HAZARD!!!!! The realtor is homeowner and she appears to be sweet but not when we requested them to fix the Cable as no TVs worked except living room....thanks to us next people will at least have TVs but still would worry about fire Hazard.....ok NEXT PROBLEM...Construction going on next doors the entire WEEK...hope done for next folks....drilling painting sawing...ya know typical LOUD NOISES NEXT DOOR...homeowner told us no issues with construction when asked as you always should ask this with every home....I think She either claims ""I forgot"" or my son did not tell me...speaking of family..I feel bad for any family with problems but not 45 mins of hearing her family problems when I just need service done like the air conditioner thermo is broken and it got hot during middle if week....they send someone out after calling and begging several times....ok getting back to home condition...hope you don't mind chip paint missing tiles dirty grout in showers and tubs and of course around toilets plus missing trim around front door plus broken window in master and one window WOULD NOT SHUT and had tape to hold all of the glass and to try to push window close from before...so they were well aware of this..of course remember the CONSTRUCTION NEXT DOOR..THE WINDOW THAT WAS BROKEN PRIOR AND NOT ABLE TO SHUT WINDOW WITH OLD TAPE HOLDING IT TOGETHER MADE THE ACOUSTICS FROM THE CONSTRUCTION SITE NEXT DOOR EVEN MORE PRONOUNCED!!!! Early every morning.....ok the smell of the home in General was like dirty public bathroom smell..I spray antibacterial spray and deodorizer spray to no avail. We stayed gone on boat much as possible but could not hang by pool because the smell of paint and sanding of stucco next door hurt our lungs plus the smell of the old fish gusts in the nasty freezer from who knows when...Even the trash cans themselves were nasty and all the linens towels and sheets had stains and needing replacing...we luckily brought our own. more

When my family visits Marathon we stay at Pelican House. The rental agents at Conch Realty Sales are good honest people who really care about having us come back again. The house and pool are always in clean and great shape and exactly what we need when we go on vacation. My home away from home. We have it booked again for April 21. Can't wait. more

I have stayed in several of the Conch Realty properties over the past 15 years. My family always enjoys our vacation, it is peaceful, relaxing, and fun. I would recommend Conch for anyone looking for a laid back vacation that enjoys the water. Every place we have stayed has been on the ocean, and had a pool. We have also rented boats and had a great time exploring the area. I think the funniest thing is that the owners teenager knows more about boating than anyone I've ever met. When he showed up with our boat I laughed thinking they had sent a kid to teach us the ropes, but quickly found out he was very knowledgable, friendly, and certified. more

Worst experience I have ever had in 10 years of renting in the keys. Poorly maintained homes, no service, boats are basically wrecks that float - Clare is a wacko - who yelled at me for faxing her my contract because it was too expensive - no service on broken down boat - house was not stocked as promised - bugs, dirty sheets....problems galore - no satisfaction. JUST SAY NO TO THIS COMPANY. more

WE HAVE RENTED IN THE KEYS FOR YEARS and this is the worst company and rentals I have ever seen or been associated with. Do not book - bugs, broken down equipment, facilities substandard. Do not ruin your vacation like ours was ruined. Unclean, bug infested, falling apart, broken down. GO TO A REPUTABLE company like VRBO or Homeaway more

My family has been going to the Keys annually for over 15 years now and this is by far the worst home we have EVER stayed in! A/C was not working upon arrival; roaches/ants/tons of roach motels; exposed wires hanging from the walls; inoperable smoke detectors; mold under the bathroom sink; possible bed bugs or fleas; rusty hooks in the shower; home was not cleaned prior to our arrival. STAY AWAY! more

I got way too much exposure but other than that feeling way good. This area is way sleepy for my taste going forward but I guess some people dig that vibe. Nevertheless I still had a good time. Saw a cutie that may make me come back.;-) more

Every little thing about our week was amazing! We've rented another property from this owner a few years back. So this was our second time around. This home felt like royal living for us. My boys enjoyed swimming and loved having their own space. more

When making our reservations we had to wait a tad too long in my opinion. However, they talked us into the cabana package and it was one of our best vacations we have had as a family. more

Just wanted to say we really enjoyed our time with Conch Realty's homes. This time around (its our 3rd trip) we decided to vacation in the peninsula home. Yep boat dock and all. I think I spent the first three days on the water. Too much fun. more

We stayed at the Trader home for the month of January 2011. This is the second time renting with Conch Realty. We had a Great stay both times and we will continue to stay for many years to come. In fact we rented the house for 2012 again. We helped the owner unload the new pool heater and he was a very nice guy. I have no bad reviews for Adam and Conch Realty. He will bend over backwards to help you. Great fishing and Great times. more

We rented a house "manatee Lagoon" from conch realty June 2010. We were treated so badly by Adam. The house was in need of repairs. The lights in the guest bath did not work and only sometimes worked in the hallway. The air conditioner stopped working and when I called Adam I was yelled and hung up on. The pool turned green with in two days of our arrival so we had no pool to swim in and later after finding reviews on line saw that some children who swim in that pool in the past ended up with a skin infection. The dishwasher never worked and leaked. The wall in the guest bath was falling literally apart from water damage. I wish I had known was a con man Adam was before he got our hard earned money and we wasted our precious vacation time in his horrible rental. more

I have used VRBO for all of my vacation needs but decided to try conch realty mainly because of their boat rentals. Boy what a mistake I rented the Manate Lagoon 4 bed 1 1/2 bath home First let me say the pool was awful 2 of my grandkids broke out with terrible rashes after swimming in the pool you could fel the slim on your skin. Had the pool cleaned but it was'nt much better.Ahh the house Bats in the eves actually flew out at dusk and I mean lots of them. The beds were cheap as were all the furnishings it was like a low income motel. the kitchen was a joke. Pots and Pans that should have been discarded long ago . No serving bowls except 2 small plastic bowls. Even the blender was broken (NO Marquaritas here)Ahh and lets not forget the boat 1021 dollars for a floating peice of junk. no running lights and the live well did not work. throttle control worn out. I have been going to the keys for over 25 years and this was the absolute worst stay I have ever had no use in complaining because they don't care all I can say is if you plan to go to the keys try VRBO get a nice home and rent a boat from a local company it will cost a little more but it is worth it in closing when you think of conch realty think DANGER DANGER DANGER more

have been vacationing in Florida for over 10 years, staying in numerous privately owned villas thoughout the state. I have to say that this is the worst property that I have ever rented as well as the most expensive. The owners were unhelpful and rude. The villa was dirty and smelly The upkeep was terrible, the sofas had rips in them, the towels threadbare, the screens badly damaged, the kitchen had seen better days, the hot tub was cold, the bath plugs wouldn't stay in, the bathroom doors wouldn't lock. They have refused to return my security deposit and took further payments from my credit card without authorisation. They owe me $1000 and refuse to send any proof of why this money has ben taken from my card. Don't use these people they are not trustworthy. more
