Reliable and flexible service 5/16/2007

We have been customers of Urban Tails for approximately 1 year and highly recommend their services. Our dog walkers have been friendly, reliable and neat. We have schedules that change somewhat from week to week, and Urban Tails was able to accomodate our scheduling needs. While this is the only dog walking service that we have used, we did not ever consider changing to a new provider. Pros: reliable, flexible more

Fantastic Customer Service 5/4/2007

These walkers are well above par. They are extremely trustworthy and do a great job of keeping us in the loop not only about our dog and her health but also about their walkers. If your walker is sick, you'll get a call, if your walker is running late and someone else has to come to get your dog - they'll call you. They are also extremely flexible with schedules and try very hard to acccomodate our every need. Plus our dog loves the walkers! We've had a few different walkers with this company and loved them all. Each of them did a great job keeping us posted if they noticed anything wrong with our dog or unusual behaviors, but also went above and beyond their dog walking duties several times. Highly recommend giving these guys a call. I also have several friends that use them - all of them highly satisfied! Reliable, friendly dog walkers 5/1/2007

For anyone looking for a reliable, trusted and friendly dog walker, I highly recommend Urban Tails. We have been using them for 2 yrs to walk our greyhound Zeek. He was a rescue and needed a lot of attention even throughout the day when we couldn't be there. We tried doggy daycare and didn't like the condition he was in when we got him back so it was important for us to keep him home and in familiar, comfortable surroundings. Over the 2 years, we have had several different walkers and managers walk him and we always felt that he was in good hands. The staff was friendly, professional and attentive. I always got follow-up calls confirming a cancellation which prevented Zeek from mistakely being left home alone! Like a babysitter might do for your kids, they left us notes confirming that they had been there with details recounting the daily walk. We were also always accomodated when we called for a last minute late-afternoon walk. Overall, we always felt confident that our dog and our house and belongings were in good hands. Exceptional Pet Service 4/27/2007

Urban Tails is a very reliable and flexible pet service. Our family dog is very near and dear to our hearts; therefore it was not easy to put our trust in just any pet service. We interviewed several dog walking services in the Chicago-area and were very happy with what we found in Urban Tails. The employees are truly ""dog lovers"". We consistently had one dog walker, whom our dog as come to love. She left daily notes detailing how she worked with our dog on each walk. Our dog's energy level has consistently increased and he is behaving much better on his walks with us. We also received peace of mind knowing that he was in good hands while we were away. I highly recommend Urban Tails due to their reliability, flexibility, and overall fair price. This is a great operation! more

most reliable dog walking service around 4/13/2007

Like many others, my dog is a major part of my life, so trusting someone to come into my home and walk her everyday was difficult. Since my first meeting with a Chicago Urban tails rep I have been completely satisfied. They are professional, and always call you back promptly. You can tell that the dog walkers truly care about your dog and are not just doing it for the money. You can give them specific instructions and they will follow through. My roomates have been home when my dog walker has come (even if she doesn't know that they are there) and they have said that she stays the whole time that she says she does and takes the extra time to play with Maddy (my dog). If any of you are thinking of getting a dog walker, I would highly reccommend them! Maddy is happier now when I come home since she doesn't have to hold her bladder for 10 hours! more

A perfect 10! 4/12/2007

We have been with Chicago Urban Tails for almost 3 years now. Not only do we have daily dog visits for our 2 beautiful boys, we have had several overnight stays for when we are out of town. It is so nice to be able to go to work and go on vacation knowing that our guys are in trustworthy, competent and loving hands. Marcie and her team are absolutely amazing. They are flexible, friendly, professional, trustworthy and most important, they are true animal lovers that give great care to our beloved dogs. We recommend them to everyone that we know! Exceptional Service and extremely dependable. 4/10/2007

The folks at Chicago Urban Tails have been taking care of my dog dante and cat tabby for two years. I recommend them without reservation! The management is always helpful, accomodating and friendly. The walkers are awesome and really love the pets. I've never once had a concern about the welfare of my animals. more

True Animal Lovers! 3/28/2007

I have a very special dog named Xuxu that is scared of pretty much everything. The walkers at Urban Tails are very patient with her and she is so happy to have them come by each day. I can tell a huge difference from before I started using them. They have worked on socializing her with other dogs and she's slowly improving. I've used other services and individuals before, but found them unreliable. Chicago Urban Tails is a great company for you and your dog. Billing is easy and always correct. The notes left are detailed. Having them take care of my baby when I can't really helps ease my mind. more

Chicago Urban Tails has very courteous and helpful staff. Whenever I call I usually get Mary, she's great. I've never had any problems with billing, in fact they bill me via automatic debit which is great because I don't forget to pay them. Bean looooooooooves Kim! How do I know? She actually smiles and brings her favorite toy bear to greet her. more

Reliable & Trustworthy! 3/23/2007

I would highly recommend Chicago Urban Tails. We have had some questionable experiences with past dog walking services (not showing up, not coming at correct times and random people daily). After a few sick days and vacation days where we forgot to call and cancel the service, we have found that our walker comes during our specified time and that our dog is genuinely excited to see her. The walker leaves detailed notes and goes above required duties by giving him water when his dish is empty, drying him off when he is wet, closing a window when needed and always locking the door properly. They have also been great about last minute calls for an evening walk here and there. Chicago Urban Tails is also great about detailed invoices and competitive pricing! Overall we are very pleased with our service. more

Everything they say they are and more! 1/29/2007

After having a horrible experience with a different local cat sitting service, I switched to Urban Tails. Urban Tails' in-home consultation provided me with the peace of mind I needed to entrust my pets to strangers again. The consultant was personable, knowledgable and showed a genuine interest for my cat's health and safety. He stayed for a 1/2 hour to go over my cats' daily routine and asked tons of questions and took notes, which really set my mind at ease. When I got home, my cats seemed relaxed and happy! I'm sure they didn't even miss us because of the excellent care they got while we were away. I was so happy to read the daily remarks the sitters left behind. The remarks detailed my cats personalities and activites to a tee, which showed me not only that the sitters spent significant time playing with my cats, but also that the sitters are genuine animal lovers. Urban Tails is not just any cat sitting service, they are a group of people who really love taking care of animals- which makes all the difference in the world. Best Service & Compassion 12/16/2006

Urban Tails has been a lifesaver for me over the past several months. My dog has developed a rare intestinal cancer, and he has had bowel control issues since his surgery. Urban Tails has been providing additional walks to adapt to his new needs. Their walkers have been taking extra step to help me with the overwhelming task of cleaning up after his accidents. They leave detailed notes about his condition while I'm at work, and they call me at work when they fear he needs immediate attention. Just when I didn't think I could leave town for the holidays due to my dog's condition, they have stepped in and made it possible for me to have a brief yet much needed vacation. I'm overwhelmed by their outstanding customer service, and I honestly don't know how I would be getting through my dog's illness without them. Pros: Customer Service more

I recently started using Chicago Urban Tails a few months ago and have had such a great experience. I heard about Chicago Urban Tails through a friend who is a current customer. For the picky pet owner 2/5/2006

I was very hesitant to rely on a pet care service after a bad experience with another local provider, but I was happily surprised by the care and customer service provided by Urban Tails. They go the extra mile to assure the nervous pet owner. I received e-mails from them while I was out of the country, and I came home to extremely detailed notes about the time they spent with my pets. Their correspondence contained such exact descriptions of my pets behaviors, I knew they were doing their job just as I had hoped they would. I highly recommend Urban Tails - they are the ones you can trust. more

I wouldn't use anyone else. They are the best service I have had in a long time. They are always on-time--I know this, as my neighbors confirm what time they come. All of the staff is very knowledgeable and absolutely wonderful with our dogs. They are all so professional and always very accommodating. I have been home on a couple of occassions when our dog walker has come and our dogs are always so happy when he arrives!
