I am new to Denver and needed a new doctor. I saw Michael, PA. He was amazing and very knowledgeable. Two months later, my insurance stopped covering my birth control. My insurance wanted me to switch to a different brand. So I had my pharmacy call to get a new script. This was on a Friday so I also called the doctors office to make sure the script would be called in by the end of the day. I was assured by the front desk that it would be. My boyfriend went to pick up my birth control while I was at work Friday afternoon. The script had not been sent in. On my break, I called my doctor but it was after hours so I was transferred to an after hours answering service. I talked to the poor woman, who sadly got the brunt of my anger, and there was nothing she could do for me. The office does not take prescription requests after hours and they are not open on weekends. I could not have a doctor paged to get this all figured out. So now my hormones are all out of whack and I have to use a condom for the next month. This is just an annoying inconvenience but what if this happened and I needed heart or diabetic medication! I am never going back there again and it is completely because of the front desk. more

My wife called me up in tears because of the treatment here. She called searching for blood results (a month overdue) and was told to call herself (that is not my wife's responsibility unless the patient engagement rules were established), guess the front desk dropped the ball and tried covering it up. The front desk girl handed the phone to a nurse who promptly yelled at my wife and then hung up......man I guess volume based pay models allow you to treat your patients like poo.... Something needs to be done. Read the reviews on this place everywhere, Yelp, Google, etc. Same message. Seems to be great doctors, but TERRIBLE STAFF. My wife saw Sue, who she said was excellent. But the front desk should have zero excuse for this behavior...... more

I have been going to Cherry Creek Family practice for over 10 years now. I mainly see Dr Kruetter and Michael (PA), I love them! They attend my every need, they listen to my concerns/complaints and address them accordingly. The CC Family practice is overall courteous and very knowledgeable. Dr. Kruetter is always on the forefront of any new medical news and procedures that come out. They have recently moved further away from me, but I will still continue to make the long(er) drive to see them. more

I newly moved to this area and Cherry Creek Family Practice is close to where I lived so I chose them. Their services are not good at all, mainly due to the receptionist and nurses. Doctors are ok. The receptionists, both of them, are rude with attitude. The first time i went there I got my blood test done, and no one ever called me back to let me the results until i called them. The second time I had three tests done, one was performed properly, one was missing , one was messed up for something else. And again no one ever called. I called numerous times and finally was on hold until the nurse was willing to talk to me and told me what Dr. said about one result and promised to call me back once she find out what happened to the others. Guess what, she never called me back. As far as I know the nurse wasn't busy all the time. The second time when I was in the small room waiting for the Dr. to come to see me, the nurse was sitting there checking her facebook and talking with the girl next to her about what her friends posted on it . I guest that's why she is so busy and has no time to do the work she is supposed to do. So I don't recommend this place unless they change their staff and have a good management. more

Every time I go to the doctor at Cherry Creek Family Practice, I feel like I am treated like a complete person. Dr. Kreutter and the rest of the providers take the time to listen and engage with me, and I always leave feeling cared for. more

20 years ago when I was very young and 4/10/2012

20 years ago when I was very young and had no insurance and no doctor, I went to see Dr. Kreutter. That was one of the best decisions I ever made. She has been so caring to me over the years. Always taking the time to really listen to my concerns and giving me peace of mind. I have read some of the reviews about the staff...well unfortunately that happens anywhere. They come and go, some are nice, some maybe not so nice, but one thing remains true. Dr, Kreutter is caring, knowledgeable and I have no idea what I will do if she ever stops practicing. more

Awful Experience! 1/14/2012

For years I had Kaiser Insurance but had to make a switch. It was about 2 years ago & I tried a few new doctors without any luck. Around this same time I felt a lump on my tailbone and started having pain that radiated into my back. I spoke to my Mom & she told me it was probably a Pilonidal Cyst. It was believed to be hereditary. She and other family members had experienced this same condition at my age. I looked online & decided to call Cherry Creek Family Practice based on their reviews. I remember my experience very well. I met with Dr. Johnson & I told him I was sure I had a Pilonidal Cyst because I had all the symptoms & it ran in my family. He QUICKLY examined my lump & told me that what I was feeling was my bone & that I was experiencing muscle strain due to me standing all day as a part of my career. He gave me a muscle relaxer, his business card & told me to call him if I needed anything. My pain became increasingly worse over the next day so I called his office. When I called I spoke to an incredibly rude lady! I asked to leave a message for Dr. Johnson to call me. She asked what my symptoms were & told me he would call back shortly. Hours later I never heard back so I called again. The same lady told me that Dr. Johnson called in an order for an x-ray. I went into the imaging center that day only to find out that he never called in the order. I waited for over 30 minutes before they got the order. I never heard any results in the time promised so I called again. The receptionist seemed annoyed to be hearing from me & immediately told me that my x-ray showed nothing. So here are my questions: 1) If she knew the results, why didn?t someone call me? 2) Why didn?t Dr. Johnson call me to discuss the results himself? At this point I was still in a lot of pain. Dr. Johnson never returned my calls and only communicated with me through his rude receptionist. I had never in my life been treated so poorly by a doctor & his office staff. I was in tears, not only because I was in pain but because a doctor that was supposed to offer a high standard of care wasn?t even trying to help me. Over the next week the pain in my tailbone subsided but I continued to have lower back pain that over time moved into my hip & leg. Don?t misunderstand me! I did not trust Dr. Johnson?s diagnosis. What I did trust was the x-ray that came back negative so I chalked my pain up to muscle strain caused by years of being on my feet. Over the last 2 years I have spent tons of money on massages, I have had to call in sick to work on a consistent basis because I was barely able to walk let alone stand & had just started physical therapy. Last week I came down with a fever along with that familiar pain in my tailbone. My lower back, hip & leg began to hurt more than it had before & that ?boney? tailbone that I was told was normal enlarged to a point that it was protruding out of my skin. I went to a doctor & sure enough the same lump I felt two years ago was a Pilonidal Cyst. It was the same cyst that has been pushing against my sciatic nerve causing extreme lower back, hip & leg pain. Growing up I have also had 2 spots on my lower back that I figured were birth marks. I know now that they are called Pilonidal dimples that result in Pilonidal cysts. OH (now I know) X-RAYS CAN?T EVEN SEE PILONIDAL CYSTS. If Dr. Johnson would have performed a more thorough exam he would have seen the Pionidal Dimples. I was clear when I told him I thought I had a Pionidal Cyst, why did he order a test that couldn?t see if that was actually the case? Instead, he shunned me, wouldn?t talk to me and ultimately it resulted in me experiencing constant sciatic nerve pain that I shouldn?t have had to deal with for the past 2 years! Cherry Creek Family Practice asks their regular patients to write rave reviews for them rather than getting reviews because they deserve them. I have NOTHING good to say about Cherry Creek Family Practice or Michael Johnson. more

I never write reviews but potential patients should know all 1/6/2012

I have been coming to Cherry Creek Family Practice for over ten years. I think only one person knows me by name (after 10 years is sad) The office staff is very very rude and uncaring. It takes days to refill a Rx, and I have had to call and follow up numerous times just to make sure it happens. It is ridiculous. When I do call, I am always put on hold for about 5-10 minutes. The office staff is so rude that they are almost mean. I like Dr. Kreutter but still am not completely satisfied with my treatment. She is the only one that even seems to care a little. I was asked about a year ago to write a good review on this site because the ratings were low. I'm guessing they asked every long time patient to write a good review since there are so many now, and they are rated 4.5 out of 5 stars. I can honestly say that I don't think they would get those kind of ratings if every patient gave a review and rating. I do not like to write bad things but I am so fed up. I am looking for a new Doctor......mostly because of the front office staff. more

A wonderful doctor 12/8/2011

I've been going to see Dr. Kreutter since I moved to Denver twelve years ago, and she's absolutely wonderful. She spends time with me and I never feel like I'm a cookie-cutter patient -- she really pays attention to who I am and to helping me to be healthy. A few times I've seen Michael, the PA, as well, and he was also fantastic, as are the nurses and the office staff. I highly recommend Dr. Kreutter. more

Dr. Kreutter is the BEST Doc in Town! 11/10/2011

I had been sick for more than 2 months with a cough, nasal congestion and everything else that goes with it. I travel allot and was chalking it up to all my traveling. Because this cold was really bring me down, I went to an urgent care in Parker and was given the Z-pack, completed the full 5 days and it did not help. 3 more weeks go by and I am still not feeling better. I decide to go to another doctor and this time I was given different antibiotics, some cough medication and told I need to get rest. Unfortunately, I have to travel allot for my business, I spend more time in hotels then I do at home. I complete this round of medications and I am still feeling terrible, not getting any better and I was in Arizona. My wife suggested that I visit an urgent care there, so I do and they take chest x-rays and do blood work, which all comes back fine. At this point I am just left to think I am going to have to feel this way because 3 doctors have seen me now and I more

Cherry Creek Family Practice/Dr. Kreutter 11/6/2011

Never before have I had a doctor who I actually look forward to seeing. Dr. Kreutter is quite knowledgeable on everything from vaccines needed for international travel to curing a head cold. She's personable beyond any doctor I've ever met and gives you the real deal. She's never rushed, will spend ample amounts of time with you, to the point where I've left the office after the staff has left for the day, or has gone to lunch. I feel so comfortable with Dr. Kreutter, I call her by her first name, I think of her as a friend, yet she's simply my doctor. Thank you Dr. Kreutter and Cherry Creek Family Practice for providing truly personable care, being available for questions, just being there when needed! more
