I called Charles to set up an appointment so that he could replace a structural post holding up a deck. I talked to him on a Monday and he said he could do it that Wednesday. When I had not heard anything by Tuesday night I called and he said he would be out the next Wednesday at 9:30 am. I was annoyed that it would have to wait another week but scheduled because it had to get done. Wednesday morning at 10 a.m. I called because no one had showed up. He said that he was sick and was working on getting someone out and ""hang tight."" His tone was that I was rude for having called him even though he is the one that didn't show up. I waited until 1pm mad called him again. This time he didn't answer and I never heard anything again. I would NOT RECOMMEND. I understand things come up but he was unresponsive and unprofessional. more

I needed two small patches of popcorn ceiling removed, and the ceiling textured to match the rest. Charles quoted me a very reasonable hourly rate for this small job, and told me exactly what time his workman Carlos would be there. Both Charles and Carlos called to confirm on the day the work would be done. Carlos did an outstanding job, and was very nice to deal with. I will definitely be using them again for handyman jobs. more

There was significant water damage and mold in an adjacent room near our kitchen and we were pretty much in panic mode. We called a bunch of contractors and got a few bids but in the end, I chose Charles. He really knew his stuff. He pointed out things that the other contractors missed. Charles was always sensitive to our needs and he was also very proactive. He even met up with us at Home Depot to help us pick the right materials. Their price was right in line with his competitors. I would've given him 5 stars if he came in lower. regardless, I would call Charles again for major projects and would recommend him to friends. I am with Going Green on this one. You WILL get duped by Charles Stanley-don't believe me? Then go call him and hire him. He was reffered by my brother's co-worker (probably a family member of Charles) so my brother was the one who called him first-HUGE MISTAKE. I shouldve done my own research. I Specifically told Charles that I had a strict budget that I could not go over and he said ""no problem-you seem like a nice guy, I'd be glad to help you out"". So I give him the green light to get started- he NEVER show up for any of the work (he had 1 guy do the work for him) when it came time to collect the money, oh, he was there alright. And he seemed to have ""forgotten"" our conversation about my budget and charged me A LOT more-of course after all the work has been done. He said it's also because he had to travel 10 miles to go to my condo (AS I SAID BEFORE, HE WAS NEVER THERE!!!!) It's been about a year since I've dealt w/ Charles and I doubt little, if anything has changed. Would never call him again. As an out of state property owner, I was very concerned reading the one bad review on this site. I talked with Charles about it and decided to give him a chance. He has been fantastic. He communicated frequently with me throughout the project (updating 2 units in a rental), sent me photos of completed work and advised me of any issues that came up. He was extremely proactive and even picked up a stove locally to install for me. I would highly recommend him. I can't understand what the prior review is about, based on my own experience. I visited to see his completed work and he had even addressed small issues that I did not ultimately pay him to do. He has even been an advocate for me with my property management company. High marks. Pros: Quality work, honest, goes the extra mile Cons: Nothing of note more

This guy will rip you off. He'll charge you over $700 a day and won't even be there to do the work. He uses unlicensed helpers (and I doubt he has his license, although he claims to) do work they don't even know how to do. I have had to have a professional come back to redo or even undo his work. DO NOT GET DUPED BY THIS GUY!!!!!!!! PS - Any positive reviews that have been posted are probably fraudulent. Cons: Unexperienced, shoddy work more

I had a list of things that I had to get fixed on my house. Charles and his team showed up at the time he said he would and took care of my list to perfection. I was very surprise at how fast these guy's were. Pros: On time, and fast, Clean neat work, Good Price!! more
