From my first contact with this company until the movers left my driveway, I was very satisfied with their friendly and helpful attitude and helping guide me through the moving process. Cheryl, who took my call, was very informative and made me feel like she wanted my business. The movers were very friendly and took excellent care of our items. They moved many boxes that we packed ourselves and not one item was broken. Plus, they finished sooner than I had planned. Definitely recommend this company. They are doing it right! more

Changing Spaces Moving is just number one all the way. They moved us from Birmingham to Pensacola, Florida on short notice. We were on a tight time schedule but I called them and they were able to come over. They were real professional, loaded us up exceptionally fast and drove us down to where were to be off-loaded. I thought they would have to do it the next day but they worked so fast that they were able to off load us that same day. It was a fantastic move! more

We just had Changing Spaces move us to another city 250 miles away. The guys who packed us and moved us were timely, professional, worked well together and took great care of our furniture and other household furnishings. While we had already done quite a lot of the packing ourselves, we were initially were told it would most likely take 2 days to pack and load and we would move on the 3rd day. They came on time and 5 young men had us packed and loaded in just 1 day which mean't we were able to move 1 day early. These men were clean cut, non smoking, professional appearing and we felt comfortable having them in our home. We highly recommend this company and would definitely use them if we ever need to move again! more

Changing Spaces Moving moved our office from Pelham to Alabaster. We're renting into a basement in an effort to save money so Changing Spaces had to move things to a storage unit and my house and we live on a hill. There was no complaining or breakage and they were so nice. I was carrying stuff from the office to my car and they offered to help take things for me which was super nice. I couldn't complain. We cannot say enough about the fantastic service we received using Changing Spaces Moving for our recent move. We were so stressed out thinking about our upcoming move, but the morning that our moving crew arrived from Changing Spaces, we instantly felt at ease. Right away it was obvious that their staff was extremely courteous and professional, and while working you could tell that they really loved and enjoyed their jobs! They were also energetic and personable, and we felt that all of our belongings were in very good hands. Our moving crew of 4 worked very well-together and was such a great team. We were in the military for 23 years and had many moves. Our move from Pelham to Navarre Florida, in November, 2013, was the best ever. We read the reviews before we called and when we called, they set up the move over the phone and could do the move on short notice on the day we chose. Brett and Cole did the whole house, very carefully and efficiently. They arrived before the time which never happens. We never dreamed it could be done in one day but it was. Not one damaged or lost item. In the warehouse we were going to things had to be piled up and they went above and beyond. The most pleasant, clean, and professional movers we have ever had. The movers took their sweet time moving me so they could charge more. In addition, they broke the mirror to my dresser, damaged a plant, did not properly place things the way I wanted, and pretty much half assed the whole thing. RESPONSE FROM Changing Spaces Moving, Inc.: As always we hate to hear that a customer is not satisfied with our services. It is uncommon for Changing Spaces Moving to receive a complaint like this, so like always we have looked at the move to figure out what went wrong. This move was a 1 bedroom apartment move from Moody, AL to Birmingham, estimated to be a total weight of 2,920. The load was a 1 story house and unloaded into a 2nd floor apartment with approximately 100 foot walk (200 ft. round trip per article adds to move time) from the truck to the stairs. The move took a total of 3.5 hours to complete. The logistics of the move took 1.5 hours. According to Map Quest it is a 27 minute drive from our base to her home in Moody, 25 minute drive from her home to the apartment and a 5 minute drive back to our base. We normally do a walk through, get some paperwork signed and set up the truck and ramp before starting the load, approximately 15 minutes each at the load and unload. Based on the total length of the move, minus the logistics, the total loading and unloading was 2 hours. We feel that the move was done in a very timely manner. As for the broken mirror, our mover indicated that he informed Ms. Clark that her mirror was only held on by 1 screw and 1 broken screw prior to disassembling, he informed her that he would not be able to safely re-attach the mirror. He also hooked up her washer, but not the dryer due to needing a different plug. Our movers are not qualified electricians. As for the plants he said they moved a couple of unboxed artificial plants and he was unaware of any damage to the plants. Normally we would want this type of item packed. Our mover said she asked to have the bedroom re-arranged, he told her if she did this it would not leave room for the dresser, he said she agreed. Prior to leaving they moved an item or two around and asked if anything else needed to be done. She initialed our paperwork that we did a walk through at the load and unload. We get this paperwork initialed to avoid problems like these. We dont understand why she wrote the review from a Saturday move before we got in Monday morning so we could talk about any problems and had a chance to address the problems. more

Wow! What a fabulous moving experience! Eric and Brent were absolutely great. They arrived promptly at the agreed upon appointment time. They were cautious about placing the truck for loading. They were both polite and friendly. After a quick review and tour, they got right to work. These guys were strictly business; yet enjoyed what they were doing. They were very careful with each piece-- treating it with respect like it was their grandmother's fine antique. The move was like a well conducted symphony. When they left, Eric advised us of the time they would arrive at the other home. And, of course, they was right on time. They unloaded as carefully as they had loaded. They would place a piece in the house and then sprint back to the truck to get the next piece. They completed the job and even asked if there was anything else they could move for us. The final cost was less than the original estimate. A very nice surprise! I would highly recommend Changing Spaces to Anyone! If I ever had to move again, I would call them without hesitation. more

Careful, Fast and Courteous is the correct slogan for this moving company. I had a local move in Birmingham Alabama on October 18th. Alan and James were the gentlemen from Changing Spaces that did the move for me. I could not ask for more polite, friendly, and caring movers. Alan and James moved quickly and were very careful with my belongings. I have already recommended Changing Spaces to the rental office of my apartment complex and will continue to recommend you. Our move from our office to our home office was flawless. The guys were hard workers and great. Couldn't have been nicer. Went above and beyond, were fast, didn't waste time, polite and respectful -- couldn't ask for more! I would HIGHLY recommend your service to anyone considering a move. My experience with Changing Spaces Moving, Inc. was a nightmare. When my husband and I got married about a year ago, we used them to move my stuff from my house to his. This was actually one of the best service experiences of my life because the two gentlemen who came out had answers, understood the goal, and knocked everything out in under 8 hours. It was a TOTALLY different story with the bigger move of my stuff plus my husband's to a new house. First of all, the company should have sent more people. The three who did show up were young, uncaring, and impolite to me. Their supervisor was the most inefficient mover I've ever seen. He seemed to slow everyone down with his standing around. He was always scratching his head at problems and complaining about the job, or on the phone with his girlfriend. I'm a very easy person to get along with, but at the end of 14 hours, I was so upset with them. They were all SO rude. I was white-hot angry. To make it all worse, they didn't even put all my boxes in the right receiving rooms, so I was still moving things around a week later. RESPONSE FROM Changing Spaces Moving, Inc.: First off we hate to hear that a customer had a bad experience with our service. This customer is comparing a move that we performed for her a year ago where we moved all of her belongings (4,440lbs) to this move where she combined her items with her new husbands. Her latest move was based on the inventory she provided us we estimated the total weight at 8,643 pounds. For a move of this size we would normally send two to three movers in one truck and complete. Since the customer wanted it done in one day and we were close to one trucks capacity we sent a second truck to make the loading go smoother. Our men loaded at the home then headed to a storage where they were to grab a couple of items, the couple of items turned into quite a few items, so they loaded up both trucks and weighed. The total weight came in at 13,910 pounds. This is a difference of 5,267 unexpected pounds. With 20/20 hindsight we would have sent three men to load on day one and three men to unload on day two. When we arrived at the unload site the job was still growing with items in the garage that needed to be moved upstairs (king bedroom set). Two oversize items would not go into their designated rooms. We were able to get an extra man out later in the day to help get the job done. Our men should have done a better job of calming her stress. They themselves were on their sixth straight day of work, on a Saturday night. By the end of the night they had done two days of work in one day. We would never knowingly have set the men up for such a long day. As for our lead man being inefficient mover, he has been with us for over 5 years and gets many happy customer call ins and letters. At that time of night and after such a long day, anything we did or said could be looked at as being rude. The men briefed me on this the following Monday and described a bad situation for all involved. If we would have had better information about the items going and extra internal work involved we would have taken a better approach, which would have been a lot less stressful. As you can see by the majority of our reviews on this site and others that this is not the kind of work we are doing. more

I hate to move however Changing Spaces makes a dreaded situation enjoyable. I have used this company my last 4 moves and have been impressed with the fact not once has an item been damaged in anyway. I will always use and recommend Changing Spaces as they are second to none. more
