Best in Town 3/20/2007

I usually don't write reviews, but I have to jump in as well about Carolina Auto Spa. I have been a long-time customer of CAS with different cars over the years and the service has always been impeccable...until one day in the spring or summer of 2005. I purchased a wiper blade for the driver's side from CAS and they installed it with no problems...or so I thought. A couple days later as I'm driving down the road while it's raining, I turn on my windshield wipers. As the wiper is coming across my windshield, it flies out towards the traffic before coming back in to the glass. I took it back to CAS and apparently they had broken the arm that the blade sits in. I talked with the manager and they said if I go to the dealership and get it fixed, they will reimburse me with proof of the bill. I did just that and returned to CAS and showed them the bill, where they reimbursed me in cash right out of the cash register. I decided to give them a second chance and have not been disappointed since. No establishment is perfect and CAS will continue to receive my business because they do an outstanding job. I used to go to Bunkey's before I found out about CAS and haven't been to Bunkey's since because CAS does a MUCH better job on your car. Yes, you have to wait, but the wait is well worth it in my opinion. If you were washing your car yourself, wouldn't you take some time to really clean it well? I appreciate the attention to detail that they give to my car and plan to take it there to get it detailed sometime in the near future. I just probably won't buy any more wiper blades :-) Pros: car is always very clean and will touch-up if they miss a spot while you walk around and check it out Cons: need more locations!!! more

After reading the last response posted for Carolina Auto Spa, I felt the need to wholeheartedly disagree. As a customer of Carolina Auto Spa for the better part of 5 years, and having ""tried"" the so-called ""competition,"" I have determined this IS THE BEST CAR WASH!!!! I have been in the customer service industry for more than 25 years and can honestly say that the service at Carolina Auto Spa is unsurpassed. Not only are all the people friendly and more than willing to go the extra mile to make a customer happy , but the quality, attention to detail, and timely manner in which they deliver their service, puts them on top. The inside waiting is aesthetically pleasing with a play area for the kids, the new drive-thru express wash and the newly installed free vacuums offer speed and convenience at a truly remarkable value, and the detail department is second to none.\r \r I seriously doubt anyone will find a better car wash in the area. Carolina Auto Spa has my business and always will. I would HIGHLY recommend them. Pros: Keep up the great work!!! Cons: Why aren't there more locations? more

Terrible work, customer service 1/29/2007

I went in on Sunday afternoon, 1/28/07 and paid for the deluxe car wash ($20). After about 30 minutes, I got the car back, but it had not been cleaned nearly to what was advertised. The dashboard had not been dusted *at all*, the front cup holders had not been wiped down *at all*, the insects had not been cleaned from the front of the car, and there was no fragrance applied. I was too rushed to have them work on it for another 30 minutes, so I left. \r \r Later that day it rained and snowed. As per CAS's guarantee, I went back on Monday, 1/29/07 for a rewash. I also complained about the cup holders and the insects (I had wiped the dust off myself with my finger, and I didn't care enough to complain about the fragrance).\r \r There were only three cars at CAS this time, but the ticketing attendent took more than ten minutes to get to me. He had me go through the carwash and at the other end, handed me off to one of the detailers. As he was explaining the situation to the detailer, he actually rolled his eyes and jerked his head at me. No attempt to even hide it, as I was sitting ten feet away and heard everything he said. I was too shocked to even say anything before he ran off and disappeared.\r \r The detailer was done in five minutes. I rolled the car to a parking space and took a look at the job he'd done. The cup holder was cleaner, but still had noticeable dirt around the edges. The insects had been removed from one section, but I could still wipe them off of other sections with just my hand, they were hardly even stuck to the grill. \r \r At that point, I gave up. CAS had taken up enough of my time, and I wasn't about to waste anymore on them. I won't ever be back. Pros: The tires looked clean Cons: Everything else was still dirty more

Best Car Wash I've Found 1/6/2007

Carolina Auto Spa has always been one of the best around. Lately however they have made several changes that made them even better (didn't think it was possible)! Recently they introduced an unlimited wash plan which I quickly signed up for. Now I can go as often as I like for one monthly fee. The full service washes are still worth the wait but if I'm in a hurry I can get an exterior wash and go to the free self serve vacuums at the exit of the wash. I can be in and out in a very short amount of time and I?m still able to have a clean car inside and outside. I haven?t found a better deal anywhere! Keep up the good work! more

Good service, fast friendly girl taking orders will be back 12/12/2006

Got a coupon in the mail - $2.00 off. First visit. Staff was professional and cheery considering...the cold. Took 25 minutes at lunch for the $20 serivce. Nice little girl taking orders tried to sell me the ""special of day"" hand wax for $30...$5 off menu price. I passed on it for now to see how they did. Car was clean. May come back for the free vacuums. Nice option when it gets warmer. Pros: friendly people, good wash Cons: entrance was clogged by tire store customers more

Poor customer service 12/5/2006

Well, go to this place for a deluxe car wash as long as you do not have to be anywhere for at least an hour. I took my car there on a Tuesday at 11:20pm. I waited in line 12 minutes just to place my order. Then waited another 20 minutes for my car to be put through the automatic car wash. After that I was able to wait another 30 minutes while the attendant alternated between vacuuming my car, cleaning the windows, wiping off the dashboard and center console and drying off other vehicles who paid much less to just get an exterior wash. To top it all off, I ended up being late for an appointment and only an apology followed after inquiring if they were so short handed that it took 1 hour to finish my car. I was in such a rush to leave that I still have not checked the quality of the work. Another piece of advice....Do not take the option of tipping on your credit card, only tip in cash if you do plan on spending the day at this place, and of course only if you think it is appropriate. Pros: clean exterior Cons: extremely long wait, poor customer service, no priority given to earlier customers, interior has several places that were missed during cleaning more

Miserable Customer Service 10/29/2006

First of all, it took them almost an hour to perform the basic washing and vacuuming package to my car (which by the way, didn't look like they even vacuumed the back). As I wait patiently on my hour lunch break, cars are starting to line up behind me. The employees aren't rushing around trying to get you out of there quicker but, rather moving slower than ants. Not only did it take FOREVER, but when my car was finally returned to me, the antenna was missing. After questioning the General Manager about the antenna being gone, he found one in the washer that wasn't mine and tried to screw it into a hole where it doesn't belong. I corrected him and asked him to please find MY antenna. He found it and realized that it was ripped off the car then; he offered to replace it free of charge. After I filled out the necessary paperwork and started to walk out the door, he apologized to me. Funny, I would have thought the apology would have been the first thing he had done. So, if you have 2 hours to get your car cleaned and don't mind vital pieces of it missing, please try this place..... more

Fast and Friendly 9/5/2006

I usually get the $20 wash but was short on time and had a biz mtng right after lunch. Took the $5 express wash. No pushy upsell, just a thanks for stopping in. The advertised 5 minutes was probably 8 but I stayed in the car and on the phone. Nice gal at the end toweled my acura off and I was gone to my meeting with time to spare. Love the new express services Pros: Express Wash speed and cost Cons: the inside of the wash was a little dark to ride through more

Disappointing Experience TWICE 8/28/2006

I am new to Raleigh area, so I come online to search for a great place to take care of my car.\r Auto spa has the highest score and best reviews, and I went there.\r I went and asked for an express deluxe for my car. The exterior was shining, but there is a big wet dirty footprint on my front white carpet, obviously left by a worker while driving my car to wash -- that could happen to anyone, and I still tip him well. But when I drove out of the parking lot, I found out my left mirror was turned towards the floor for no reason. I had to pull over to adjust the mirror. Almost had an accident!!\r \r Despite of the not-so-good experience, I still went for the second time -- since almost all other customers are giving good reviews, maybe it's just me. But the second time is no better. My car was not polish waxed as it was supposed to. I can tell the difference as soon as I arrived home. I do not want to embarrass the receptionist by calling in and shouting at her. So I sent an email, asking how do they take customer complains. No response at all. Now I decided not to go back again. more

Looks brand new - A+ job 7/17/2006

I'm a do-it-yourself kind of guy because I know I do a good job and I know my car is clean. I rarely go to car washes, but these guys impressed me. I was very impressed with how they treated me, the car looked great, and I'll be back for sure. Pros: Car looks great Cons: I live far away - they need more locations more
