CCI should be ashamed 10/4/2012

The school is unprofessional and has caused my entire life to be one big ball of stress. I went through numerous teachers in each level. Even the staff and teachers complain about the administration. They lost so many clinical sites due to unprofessional conduct, so we were forced to go back to the school or go to sniff sites that were below our level of expertise at that time. Also we were always told last minute of paperwork, expenses, and things we needed for each level. I ended up spending so much money for stuff that I though should be included in the intitial 29,000 tuition. Our class was denied many of the things that the lower levels now have. The big topper is this exit exam they make you take for evolve that has information that was never taught to us--it is a guessing game. and of course if you don't pass it they charge you $50 for each additional time. The staff always has an excuse for everything like they were trained to cover the school's ass no matter what. more

Best Dental Assisting Program 1/26/2012

I am currently enrolled at Career Care Institute in the DA program,our class is a small class,but the best atmosphere you will ever walk into! We are like a family! So far I been here for at least 6 months and I need 2 more months, I LOVE IT, my teacher MRS.KEATING is the best and plus she's married to a dentist which is an outstanding thing for us because he gives her advice to tell us. She has taught me and my classmates so much, shes gone so in depth with teaching us the basics from X-rays, how to hand instruments properly. sterilization, surfaces of the tooth, numbers of the tooth,how to seat the patient and how to make them feel at ease once they enter the door,and also infection control which is very important to her for us to know and how to be the BEST dental assistant a dentist can ask for! Shes so undersanding with each and everyone of us and treats us as adults that we are. I am very thankful that I joined the DENTAL ASSISTANT PROGRAM at Career Care Institute, Ventura CA. I more

ALEX ASTORGA IS THE GREATEST TEACHER!!!! 12/21/2011

I am a medical assistant student at CCI i am currently on my 6th mod and i have 2 months left in class before i head out to my externship. the months i have been here i have learned so much thanks to my amazing teacher alex! shes great at explaining procedures and giving lectures. she teaches us good hands on training and will never judge us on our mistakes, on the other hand she will walk us through our mistakes. I didnt hear many things before this school and its courses before i came but now that i am here i am happy to say i took these steps for a better future and chose this school. it has been a great experience, meeting new people, making great friends and learning everything i need to know to make it out there in the medical field. so special thanks to my awesome teacher ALEX!!!! more

Im in the MA program and my teacher Alex is a good teacher she has alot of knowledge.She takes her time to answer my questions even if their are off topic.She pushes me to do my best and even if i dnt do something right she makes me feel like im doing a good job. more

I am currently a student at CCI and seem to have no problems with the Medical Assistant program so far.I have confidence in my instructor Alex, and believe that she is doing everything in her power to train us into becoming great MA's in such a short amount of time.!! Alex takes her time explaining things when i am not sure. She tought me so much and when i graduate i am sure i will be at my best and confident as a medical assistant!!! (; more

I am currently a student at CCI so far so good. My instructor Alex has great knowledge for the MA program. She takes her time to teach us, and does not give up on us. She likes to make sure we get the info. I'm sure with her knowledge we will become great Medical Assistants. more

The best intructor 12/21/2011

Im currently attending Career Care Institute. Career Care Institute is such a great school to be in. Im currently in the MA class and it is such a good class. CCI really helped me change my life around. Our instructor Alex is the best teacher. She is a very fun, helpful, nice. Alex has a lot of knowledge in the medical field and she never lets us down. She has a lot of pacients and is an AWSOME MA Instructor. Im glad I joined this MA class at this time top meet such a great instructor. more

First of all I am A Student at CCI. I have one of the best instructors in this school her name is Alex. She is such a good instructor that knows how to teach everything how its suppose to be & i learn how to manage to do the things i need to do. She is a great teacher & instructor. She shows me the basic stuff that im gona need to learn in order for me to be prepared for when i go out in the Medical Field. If it wasnt for her i wouldnt understand anything in the Medical Field. She watches me do procedures & in order for me to get them right she helps me out & instructs me how everything has to be done so i can be prepared & know what i need to have when im out on my own. Alex has done her best job at teaching me and every of my class mates. Anything that i dont understand shell take her time & patience to help me out & get me ready for either my tests, or my homeworks. Their is no other way i can put it besides that My Instructor Alex is doing her best job & is a great instructor more

CCI Medical Assisting Class is accredited because CCI is accredited by the COE. And, yes, you can be certified by either the NHA, or the NCCT.\r The MA class has a very competent staff that actually cares about their students.\r They actually have a testing center in Lancaster and Ventura.\r Sometimes reviews are unfairly made and may contain falsehoods. more

Thankful 12/20/2011

I am very thankful that there are Medical Assisting teachers that truly care about their students. I believe that the staff at CCI are dedicated to making a difference in their students lives, as well as in their community. The lab is set up as if it were actually in a doctor's office; the teachers are competent and inspire the students to succeed. Thank you CCI. more

On November 13, I posted a review of Career Care Institute, Inc. at the website LiveLearnLocal in which I stated, "There are many victims of these covert actions by this school at the present" I retract this statement because I have no personal knowledge of what may have happened between any student and Career Care Institute other than my daughter. As to my daughter's dispute with Career Care Institute, it has been resolved.\r \r OPn November 8, 2010, I posted a review on the Citysearch website regarding Career Care Institute, Inc., in which I stated, "This school is scandalous they take the student loan money and run a scam if you need more email tigrootservices@yahoo. I am compiling names and numbers, with their letters from others who have been dooped by CCI in Lancaster Ventura and Moreno Valley. Try and ask for the administrator and they won't call you. Do your research 3/5/2011

There are other schools where you can get your education. They get rid of teachers constantly more than 7 while I was there. The jobs available for CCI students are very few and the pay is low. I am ashamed to say I went to school there. more

What will happen next.... 3/1/2011

I overheard two instructors speaking about ANOTHER law suit in progress. Apparently they are not paying their instructors. The program directors and instructors are leaving or being fired if they complain about their pay. This school is one big scam. What ever you do, do not come here. We are all concerned about being here. Will we be able to get a diploma? Will we be able to pass our boards? Will we be able to find a job? Will the school be closed before we graduate? No one knows. more

CCI Under Investigation from multiple governmental agencies 2/26/2011

Career Care Institute is under investigation by multiple governmental agencies. Department of Education PostSecondary Board, California Bar Association, Etc. Please direct all complaints to Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education, Karen Newquist, Enforcement Section Manager Tel: 916-431-6906. CCI Should be closed down. They just settled their 3rd claim for the owners son allegely forcing students to have sex. more

HORRIBLE SCHOOL 2/25/2011

THEY LIE! THEY LIE! ATTENTION ALL MEDICAL ASSISTING STUDENTS! This school will tell you that you can get your certification after completing the course, but the truth is that you CANNOT. The AAMA only recognizes schools that are accredited by ABHES and CAAHEP. They will take your money and show you no respect. They don't take student complaints seriously and will terminate you if you complain too much! What happened to the customer is always right? \r They also fire awesome instructors and replace them with an incompetent person who is supposedly a RN who doesn't know how to properly explain procedures, and gives the students answers to the homework and tests. How are you supposed to learn anything?\r \r DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!!!! YOU WON'T GET ANY WHERE! more

CCI SEX SCANDAL AND INVESTIGATIONS 2/25/2011

CCI has settled 3 sex complaints because the owners son was preying on students and having sex with them. Do your homework. CCi is being investigated by numerous Government Agencies. Call the Department of Education Title IV Department and Postsecondary Education Division. They may even be shut down soon and arrests made. more

re Michelle G.\r \r In response to your "irradiating" experience in the dental program.....weren't u told to stand at a certain distance and did not follow instuctions? If you would have been standing at the appropriate distance that you had been advised of several times before, there would be no reason for you to make such a stink. If you thought x-rays were so dangerous why were u still continuing the program while being pregnant? No one was making you stay. I'm sure that you could have finished the program after you had your baby without having too much $$ added to your balance. \r \r And by the way- the harful radiation produced from a dental x-ray is far less than people would like to think. The beam is tightly restricted and x-rays only travel in straight lines and do not linger.....(ie once the machine is turned off - the radiation stops)\r \r You shouldn't blame the school for your negligence of their repeated warnings while they were using the dental x-ray machine. more

For those interested, the scam at CCI is much deeper than anyone knows. The abuse with Title 4, sexual abuse of students and making employees work overtime with no pay or lose their jobs. Just a few of the many things happening at CCI. The one thing that is NOT happening is concern for all those students they have on board right now. CCI UNDER INVESTIGATION 1/13/2011

CCI HAD NATIONAL ACCREDITATION DENIED so they went to a different company for their accreditation while trying to fight with appeals though the court - WHICH THEY LOST!. They misled students to believe everything was fine when they enrolled. They are under investigation with the Department of Education and Fraud has been alleged and is being investigated (Title IV Funds). Please do your research and call the Department of Education Postsecondary Schools, criminal arrests may even be made. more
