I was very pleased with the installers. Found the salesperson to be low key and somewhat knowlegeable. Was not pleased with the binding put on the xtra piece of carpet to be used as a runner I picked out a color and attached it to the runner order. Hardly any color shows. They put on a very thin binding instead of a 2 or 3" one to show off the contrasting color that I choose. Nothing like cheapening down material. more

The salesperson in the showroom was very nice and very helpful. However the contractor they had do the installation had some issues. I had a bad feeling when they called me at work to see if I had a chalkline they could borrow because they had left theirs on another job! They did a good job on the tile installation, however i had to patch and repaint my kitchen due to the marks on the walls that they made, inlcuding a big one that needed filling which they said they were going to repair but didnt. Based on the price and the final product on the floor, I would still recommend them, just be prepared to do lots of cleaning up after them. Capitol Carpet Inc. is fantastic! I've worked with them for many years. I've built many commercial and residential buildings and have used them for all of my jobs. For the tiling, they do the moisture testing before they lay the tile. They are pretty good. I have worked directly for Lou, the owner. This was my first time working with Capitol Carpet to have new blinds installed in my summer house in Pompano Beach. The staff member I worked with, Allen, was extremely knowledgable and very professional. The installer, Steve, was also very professional. I was impressed with all the staff and would highly recommend this company to everyone. My blinds were installed when they said they would be without any issues. I have since gone back to Capitol Carpet to work with them again in remodeling 2 bathrooms. The tile selection process can be a little overwelming, but Tony was so patient and helpful that it really was a very good experience. Again, I would highly recommend this company. Their staff is outstanding!!! more

My Plantation Shutters took 8 plus weeks to order, which my salesman told me to expect. The installer was very professional. Showed up on time and very clean and neat. Experience was very positive and I would not hesitate to use Capitol again. My shutters were worth the wait. I get so many compliments on them too. Can't wait to do my dining room next. more

I would recommend Capital to anyone and everyone. It was the easiest home remodeling experience I have ever had. I replaced carpet in three bedrooms with laminate. The service was excellent from the moment I walked in the store. I was met with very nice greetings from all. Tony helped me with my buying decisions. I had never picked out laminate before. He made the entire process painless, and quick. The scheduling was perfect, split it up into two visits so it was not too much getting all three rooms to be done the same day. he installers were friendly, cleaned up, quick and did a fabulous job. i had a great salesman buthe had to have surgery. The man who took over was good but not as good as first man. i know the situation could not be helped but I just liked the first guy the best. Ok the deal was made and flooring put in. Men took pieces of flooring I had put aside and frankly flooring was dirty. Salesman came out with a product and with a paper towel and 2 finges attempted to make me look like a fool. I with my mop he would not pay attention. Lady called to do a survey and when I explaned this she said she would have some one come and clean the floor. NEVER HAPPENRD>. I called Capital and inquired about my pieces of wood and my sales man said he had forgotten but he would take care of it well I AM STILL WAITING ONCE AGAIN> RESPONSE FROM Capitol Carpet Inc: Susan, Sorry for the delay in getting you the extra material you requested. I spoke with Marc (your original salesperson who is back from his surgery) and he confirmed the product is in our warehouse. Horrible experience ,installation was a disaster. I had to ask the crew to leave halfway through the job ,they were destroying the flooring, everything had to be removed and started over days later ,what a inconvenience. The local store manager seemed unsympathetic and offered nothing.When the product was sold to us I was told it was made by Shaw and that was not the case ,hope this product holds up. This particular laminate floor has a new and unique locking system that the original installer was not familiar with. This was an internal schedule oversight. We then sent an installer who was familiar with the locking system. The floor was installed by this installer correctly. It is a high quality 12mm laminate with a full warranty for stain, wear and fading along with Capitols installation warranty. We apologize for the inconvenience you were caused. Capitol Carpet was great. We originally purchased carpet for two rooms, and in one room there was something wrong with the carpet. They came out and replaced it immediately. They were very responsive and the salesman is fantastic as well as the owner. We have no problems recommending them as they did a great job, well done! more
