Capitol Carpet & Tile

We can't recommend Capitol Carpet Inc too highly! I've already recommended them to three other people in West Palm Beach. We were very, very pleased with our whole experience with them. My son was helping us redo the carpet at my mother's house, and he actually ordered carpet from a department store. They kept changing the story and the price on us, and it was getting really frustrating. There were a lot of issues, and finally someone recommended Capitol Carpet. We called them right away, and they came right over. They were very accommodating, so we cancelled our other order and went with them. They were very time-effective, and they didn't waste hours of our time. They were efficient, warm and friendly, and they helped us pick the right thing for my mother's house. My mother's elderly, so they helped pick something out that was safe for her but still very attractive. They really had our best interests at heart. They worked very hard and quickly putting in the carpet, and they did a lovely job! They also helped move things around. My experience with Capitol Carpet Inc. was very good. My hardwood floor was bowing at the joints and the gentleman who arrived was able to diagnose and expertly fix the problem in good time. We were in the process of updating our home and we decided that would include re-carpeting. We looked around and checked some big box stores. I saw an ad on TV for Capitol Carpet and was treated very well by the salespeople when I went in. I learned that they're a family business with 4 stores and I felt it was so much more personal dealing with them on that level. I got a much better feel from the personal contact and to be honest, the prices were the same as the big box stores. From beginning to end we were happy with the carpets, as a matter of fact we had a spill and it cleaned right up. It's great quality, the installers were terrific, fast, clean, and were in and out quickly. I would highly recommend Capitol Carpets. more

A painter that we were using recommend Capitol Carpet Inc. to us. One of their locations is close to our house so we drove down to take a look. They had a nice selection and let us take a small sample home. I found them to be very helpful. The technician removed the old carpet and put in new carpet. They work efficiently and timely. I'm happy to support a local company and the installers are always polite, professional, and competent. They're usually in and out within a couple of hours and I'm very happy at their ability to complete the job quickly and efficiently. I first used Capitol Carpet Inc about 12 years ago to put down new wood floors. I used them again for bedroom carpeting after that, and I have been using them ever since. Other than the one or two times that they were backed up and I had to use another company, I have always chosen them to do work on my four properties. They've probably done a total of 16 to 18 rooms worth of carpeting for me. The other carpet companies I tried didn't get back to me right away. I continue to go back to Capitol because their installation, sales and delivery were always what they promised. The installation especially was very clean. They cleaned up after themselves and left no marks on the molding. When I've used other carpet installers I had to repaint the modeling after the installation because they marked up the moldings doing the work. Capitol Carpet comes when they tell you they are going to come. You're not waiting around all day for them. The installers are very polite, and they clean up after themselves. They vacuum the newly installed carpet, and there is no damage to the modeling after the work is done. more

I had Capitol Carpet put in some carpeting and then I had them put in hardwood floors. On both occasions they were efficient and fast. This experience was completely different from what I was used to in the past. Other service centers did not provide the same speed or promptness that Capitol Carpet did. From the time I walked in the store to the carpet being installed, it was a pleasurable time. more

Michael was my installer he came out and put in my knew laminate flooring was on time very informative and neat. was very happy with the install. brian was my salesman along with alan who helped out as well. i have had many companies over the years here in florida and this company was the first to get it done and done right, will stick with capital tile and hope to continue on this wonderful path with them. thank you all for you help honesty and compassion. more

I have very great experiences with Capitol Carpet Inc. Whenever I go in, they know their product very well. They are helpful, and they tailor my experience to what I'm looking for exactly. They are very prompt and arrive on the delivery day as scheduled. They're extremely thorough with their installations and clean-up. For installations, they roll up the carpet, vacuum the cement, put in the carpet, then vacuum again. You would never know they were there. There is nothing, not even a remnant, of their work left behind. I have had very good luck with this company. I would highly recommend them because they are knowledgeable about their products and because they stand behind their quality. If there is ever any problems with your installation, they will be quick to find a remedy for it, too. more

After having to ask the representative from Enterprise flooring to leave my home due to his poor social and sales skills refusing to leave a quote. I went to Capital Carpet and had a much more pleasant expeience! The sales Staff Allen and Brian were very helpful and listened to my desire to refloor my kitchen and dinnette area. They showed me what I was interested in and made a very good positive recommedation. Went to Home Show looking for carpeting and decided to go with Capital. Sales Rep eventually referred us to nearest store in Royal Palm Beach where the Salesman was highly professional and patient with us. Installers came, Lead person made a recommendation to us that was beneficial to our installation. They did a great job. We re-carpeted our house with Capitol Carpet Inc., which included three bedrooms. We did it on short notice because we had another company booked, but cancelled with them when we saw that the carpet in Capitol's showroom was of much higher quality. They put a rush on the order for us because they didn't have the particular carpet in stock. As soon as they had the carpet, they called us immediately. They did the installation the very next day. My wife is pregnant, so to have everything done and ready so quickly was excellent. more

I used Capitol Carpet to re-carpet the upstairs of my house and the stairs. I used them before and had a great experience, and this time was just as good if not better. The installers were amazing, and the carpet looks fantastic! I used them again because they are knowledgeable and have good value. They provide me with what I need and are completely professional from beginning to end. In my mind they are the only choice in town. To use anyone else would be crazy. more

I have nothing but good things to say about Capitol Carpet. They put in a new carpet for us and were very cooperative. They moved all the furniture out of the room and then back into the room. The workers were very courteous. They disconnected the TV and then reconnected it. They did everything in a very nice, safe and orderly manner. I was very pleased by their attitude. We did have some minor problems for delivery of the carpet. They had to cancel the delivery date twice because the carpet we ordered was held up. It was a long story, but all's well that ends well. I am a contractor who always deals with Carl Greene at Capitol Carpet Inc. He's extremely good and knows exactly what he's doing. I always get good results from him. The installers, however, would get about a two out of five. There is a doorway leading to the master bathroom that was not tacked down at all. The carpeting doesn't stay down on its own. That needs to be fixed. They also didn't vacuum very well along the edges. RESPONSE FROM Capitol Carpet Inc: Thank you for your very valuable feedback. After an installation the installer is supposed to thoroughly vacuum the carpet and in addition should walk the job when finished to insure that all work done was performed to the customers satisfaction. This apparently was not done and we will make sure it dis done in the future. The carpet coming loose in the doorway will be fixed at a convenient time that works for you and you will receive a phone call today from our service department to schedule. It is constructive feedback from customers like yourself that makes us a better company. more

First time in this store had a wonderful salesman Brian he helped me order my blinds. He sent someone out to measure for proper hanging and he was nice I think his name was Alan. Very happy with them and would buy through capital again!!! more

Capitol Carpet Inc. did a fantastic job. Anyone I dealt with was above anybody I had ever met before. They really were wonderful and the men who put the carpet in were unbelievable. I'm just very, very pleased. I had my son come over to look at it and he said it really is fabulous. My bedroom, where they were putting in the carpet, is really difficult because there's a lot of heavy furniture. They really made me comfortable. I have a tile floor and anything they moved out they put padding under so nothing would be scratched. That was very thoughtful and considerate. I would highly recommend them to anybody that would ask. I'm 89-years-old. I've had a lot of work done here and up north and everywhere else over the years, and this was an experience for me. I didn't have to lift a finger or do anything but thank them when they were done. more

Capitol Carpet Inc. was terrific, even from the standpoint of the sales person. I am not living in the place where the carpet was installed and he knew that and knew that I was trying to get it installed before I had tenants in the place. This was a rental property and he did everything he could to help me out; believe me. The installation was very good. They were there when they said they were going to be and did what they said they were going to do. When the installers called and told me they would be there in half an hour, they were there in half an hour. The guys were great. They were professional and cleaned up after themselves. You can't ask for more than that. And the carpet looks good; it looks like carpet. more
