Calvin's Fine Jewelry

My mother's birthday is in January and right after Christmas I'm usually at a loss to find a great gift for such a special occasion. I dropped into Calvin's without any real ideas in mind and Shelby helped me pick a couple of really great pieces. One was available in the store, wrapped and ready to go. To find a complement piece, she spent a lot of extra time going through different options with me about what would look best with the earrings I'd selected and stayed within my budget. I've visited Calvin's on a few occasions and attended one of their in store events. They provided the best selection of various designers, especially my favorite Vera Wang. The staff's knowledge on the products and industry really exceeding my expectations and they were very helpful in answering all my questions. The entire staff and store selection definitely went above and beyond my expectations!! more

After going to numerous stores searching for a Christmas present for my girlfriend I landed at Calvin's and found the perfect gift. I walked into the store and was immediately greeted by Shelby who helped me find a great set of earrings. I didn't really know what I wanted to get, but Shelby was very knowledgeable about jewelry and described the differences between the different pieces. After I couldn't find what I was looking for in the store, she was able to locate some great earrings and ordered them for me. Great customer service and outstanding quality! I recently bought a bracelet from Laura at Calvin's. She was extremely helpful. Knowledgeable and insightful, but not pushy. I did not feel like I was being manipulated into purchasing something I couldn't afford. ""Cavin"" introduced him self as I was shopping. I found that a nice touch. You rarely find that kind of personalized experience when shopping. Also, I love that they have a shop dog named Apollo. I couldn't be happier with the care and attention I receive at Calvin's. Their staff is super friendly and goes out of its way accomodate special requests. I got engaged and married in 2008, and Calvin and his team made me feel like a true princess. From the moment we walked in the door, in May, I was completely impressed with every aspect of Calvin's. I came in with a pretty good idea of what I was looking for, but Lindsey helped us narrow it down to a few particular settings for my engagement ring. It only took me about 15 minutes to pick our the perfect setting. Every piece of jewely in the store was absolutely beautiful. It's very clear that they take pride in their product and hold extremely high standards, while offering outstanding customer service. 6 months later, Brandon propsed to me on Christmas Eve. It was the perfect diamond ring. I receive so many compliments every day, and several friends have mentioned it's the most beautiful ring they've ever seen. I did need to get the ring up-sized about a quarter of a size, because it was a little tight. I called to see if I could drop it off and have it re-sized. I was expecting to hear it would take them about a week to get around to it. They let me know I could bring it in and it would only take about 30 minutes, and re-sized it for me while I waited. All along the way, they have made sure that we are pleased with their service and happy with their product. We couldn't be happier. We had a perfect experience. I visited Calvin's today for the first time and recieved excellent customer service. Everyone there was very friendly and accomodating. I was also very pleased with the selection of rings. I was looking for a men's palladium wedding band and they had plenty. They were more than willing to order a specific design of a ring in the particular medal I wanted. I was very happy for that. Wow!! Truly WOW!! I called Calvin's fine jewelry to inquire about a certain diamond (heart shaped). I didn't just get a ""No, we don't have that""; I got ""Well, we don't have any in stock, but I can get one by tomorrow."" And by the next day I had a phone call from them saying they got it in. It was perfect!!! and they matched it up with the perfect engagement ring set to go with. My first stop for an engagement ring was Calvin's Fine Jewelry. I really dislike shopping and the thought of buying an engagement ring was especially stressful, but the people at Calvin's made it an enjoyable experience (Angela, Lindsey, and the security guard). Before going in to Calvin's I couldn't tell you the first thing about diamonds, but now, after some good coaching, I feel like I can hold my own. Rather than pressure me in to buying a certain diamond or band, the staff just tried to fit my wants/needs to the budget I had available. I had second thoughts about just looking at one jeweler, so I decided to check out some other places. I found that Calvin's was the perfect mix of quality, service, and affordability. I actually purchased the engagement ring for my now fiance 2 months ago (I only held off on writing a review until I proposed). On the emotional day when she said yes and took a moment to soak in the ring I picked for her, she smiled in approval of the ring and told me that it was the ONE she wanted the most of all the rings we looked at from various stores around Texas. I live in Toronto but was planning my wedding in Austin. I had picked out my ring at a Toronto jewelry store that was very hard to deal with. On a visit to Austin, I took my parents by Calvins, since they carried my ring, to show my parents what I had chosen. I couldn't believe how nice everyone was...from the security guard who opened the door to Lindsey, the wonderful saleswoman that worked with me. Even though I was just showing my parents a ring and not buying anything, they treated me like their best customer. Once I was back in Toronto I began working with my local jewelry store who were awful. After receiving an email from Lindsey thanking me for my visit, I decided to email her back and inquire about purchasing the ring from Calvin's. She emailed me back promptly and had a substantially lower price than what I was quoted at other jewelry stores. I decided to purchase my ring from Calvin's and could not have been happier. I dealt with everything via email, making the transactions super easy, and never had to worry about anything. Lindsey informed me every step of the way. The next time I was in Austin, I picked up my ring but noticed it was slightly different than what I wanted. Without a second thought, Lindsey sent back that ring and ordered a new one at no additional cost. They were so gracious and I couldn't believe how easy it was to deal with them. On my search for the perfect ring for my now fiancee, I went to almost every jeweler in town. No kidding. But I would have to say that the level of service that I found in Calvin?s was incomparable to any other jewelry store. Even though I had no idea what I was doing I was treated with the greatest of care and never belittled for my nagging multiple questions.
