I came to Austin from Albuquerque and needed expensive platinum engagement and wedding rings sized for my beautiful fiancee. The rings are hand crafted from my design by a master jeweler in Albuquerque. My then-fiancee (now husband) and I had been to almost every major jewelry store (and many smaller boutiques) looking for our wedding rings. My engagement ring is custom made with an antique-style setting, and it was impossible to match, or at the very least find something that didn't detract from the engagement ring. My husband wanted something ""a bit different"" and when pressed for specifics, said he would ""know it when he saw it"". We went to Calvin's, and both found exactly what we were looking for! The store has lots of unique styles, and the people that work there are fantastic! The quality of the diamonds in my wedding ring was first rate, and we got a discount for buying our rings together. After searching for ""the perfect diamond"", my husband found it at Calvin's. He also designed a custom-setting for the diamond. We purchased our wedding bands there as well, as the quality of their stones and metals is the highest They are reasonably priced compared to what you will find elsewhere. We always work with Angela, who remembers EVERYTHING and has sold several beautiful pieces to my husband for Christmas and anniversary gifts. I ordered a beautiful gold Gurhan bracelet from Calvin's Jewelry. Laura the Web Ops Manager helped me, and she was fantastic! She got my bracelet perfectly resized & was always extremely friendly and helpful, and kept me excited about my purchase. Also, when I received my bracelet, it was packaged very carefully and came in a stylish box with a nice thank you note. I will definitely be going back to Calvin's again! I originally went to Calvin's to purchase my engagement ring for my finace. Linsdey H. helped me from Day 1, taking the time to discuss the different options including price range, quality, etc. As I knew nothing. Needless to say I purchased a ring and it was perfect and my fiance couldn't be happier. However, soon after the ring was accidentally damaged (due to our fault, not Calvin's), they re-shaped the band, replaced one of the diamonds and fixed the problem within 5 minutes for no charge!. And it looked as if it was still brand new! I can't think Calvin and Lindsey enough forall there wonderful customer service and for taking the time to work with me from the beginning. I went to Calvins for a new setting for a diamond that I already owned. Sandy was fantastic and really took her time with me. She offered me lots of ideas and suggestions, and I ended up with a ring that she had even picked out. I stumbled onto Calvin's website while searching for a particular jewelry designer (Gurhan) that my wife loves. Calvin's on-line selection was superior and the site was easy to navigate. However, I was still apprehensive about making an expensive jewelry purchase on-line. (Since I live in Maryland and Calvin's is in Austin, TX, it was unlikely that I'd be stopping in to check out the piece.) I decided to call the customer service line and I was connected with Laura Edwards. Ms. Edwards was AMAZING!! She made me feel more comfortable about buying jewelry on-line than I could have ever imagined!! She was a ""gem"" of a resource through the entire process. I was buying an engagement ring for my then girlfriend (now fiance). I'd been to a couple of other jewelry stores in town and was treated down right rude at a certain chain that I won't mention here. I came in with a small budget and the sales lady (ask for Sandy) spent a lot of time with me to select the perfect diamond. We had to look at 3 different brokers but finally found the right diamond. We are a customer for life and I would not go anywhere else. We spent under $2000 and got the diamond of choice and Calvin came out personally to shake my hand, I felt like I spent $20K there. After a horrendous customer service experience at Solomon Brothers in my home town of Atlanta and mediocre experiences at a few other jewelers in town, I went looking online to see if I could order an engagement ring setting that I liked from a jeweler that appreciated my business and was easy to deal with. I found 4 jewelers who could order the ring for me, but chose Calvin's because of the wonderfully helpful and pleasant response to my initial inquiry (the price was great too!). Each email after that was equally helpful and pleasant. I felt like Laura shared in my excitement in making this important purchase and did all that she could to make sure it was everything that I wanted.
