Budget Transmission Center

Budget Transmission Center repaired the transmission in my 2003 Acura TL. They did a great job and I have no complaints about my experience with them. The price was totally on point. They were accommodating to my budget and willing to work with me, which was great. They worked quickly, but not in a way that was rushed. \r Everyone there was professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and trustworthy. They explained what was going on. It was easy to schedule with them, I just dropped my car off and they were fine. They got the job done correctly and I highly recommend them. more

I brought my car to Budget Transmission Center so they would fix it and they didn't do a good job. In the beginning it seemed as if it was fixed, but they didn't install one of the pieces correctly. I have a friend who is a mechanic and he told me that the piece was broken. I would have had my friend fix the car but he was too busy, so I went back to Budget Transmission Center and told them what my friend had said. They said that the work they had done was fine and they didn't hold themselves responsible for replacing the broken piece. That was not what I paid for, the whole thing was a disaster. I trusted them to do a good job and had even recommended them to some friends but they ended up charging me for more problems. To prevent something like this happening to somebody else, I would not recommend them to anybody. more

I've gotten my transmission and my clutch done by Budget Transmission Center and both times they've gone the extra mile for me. They're prices are significantly lower than the big chain stores and you get excellent customer service from them at no additional price. They're super nice guys and get the job done. more

The people at Budget Transmission Center were very friendly and went above and beyond to help me out. I needed help with my transmission and a few non-transmission parts replaced. They were able to see me at a time that was convenient and provided quick service. They really went into the details of what was going on and completed the work when they said they would. Everyone there is trustworthy, knowledgeable, and professional. Ray and Mike were especially awesome. I talked with them about the work and they provided the estimate. The cost wasn't cheap, but it was decent. I would definitely go back if needed. more

My experience at Budget Transmission Center was really good; they took care of my car. I brought the car in, they did what they said they were going to do, I got the car back, and it's been running great ever since. It wasn't late; they did it on time. Their prices were average. Other places were not cheaper but not the same price either. more

I took my car to them because my motor burned out. The guy there charged me a ton of money for a motor that had 60,000 miles on it. He said it would work fine for my jeep and that there would be no problems. But I ended up having tons of problems with it and my car had trouble starting. I also found out that the water pump was broken and there were other problems with the motor. I will never go to this place again! more

The service with Budget Transmission Center has been pretty good. I've been with them for a while now, and I recommend them to so many people. I've even brought a few in. Never had any bad experiences with them.\r They're pretty good people. They're easy to get along with, unlike most places. They are just easy to talk to, and they're pretty friendly people with good personalities. more

I was given amazing service dealing with Sammy and Ray at Budget Transmission. I called them after I was in an accident that totaled my car, but being my first car, I didn't want to give it up. The insurance company wouldn't fix it because the cost to fix it outweighed the value of my car. (2002 Kia Optima, in excellent condition) \r So, I called Budget and asked them if they could look at my car and let me know what major work had to be done. They went up to the dealership my car was sent to and got it out before I was charged anymore for storage which I was very grateful for, and immediately looked at my car for me. \r A few days later when I actually had time to think about the situation and decision I was making, I decided to total out the car and give it back to the insurance company. Once I talked to Sammy he said it was fine, and didn't even ask for a penny. I was very thankful and in shock because they towed my car that would have cost about 80$ for nothing, diagnosed it and let it stay there for no charge. You don't see understanding and kindness like that these days. As you can see, I am very grateful and happy I called Budget Transmission before any other company because I felt like they really cared about me and my situation instead of the money they could have easily made off of me. \r I hope this helps others decide if Budget is right for them, because I know I would send my next car there any day. more

Budget Transmissions fixed my car problem.They were super nice,polite,helpful.The place is clean-even the bathrooms are nice.They don't take advantage of single women with little car knowledge,they explain exactly what they are doing.Ray,the manager could have charged me much more the first time I went-I was told by other mechanics I had a solenoid issue(expensive) but it was a loose wire & they were honest &charged me very little .I trust these guys& it took me a long time to find a good garage.Sammy & his team are really great.Go see for yourself\r Martha from Milford more

June 30th 2015 I went in to get my transmission fluid changed. If it had not been for Rey and Sammy last year reminding me the importance of doing so for maintenance of my rebuilt transmission which they did. Its important to get my transmission fluid changed after 1 yr. or so many miles driven in that year\r Mike was there when I arrived and Rey took my keys asked a few questions and after 2 hours my car was serviced.\r So nice to walk into a business and deal with professional employees that express they care about the work they do on your car. Don't know why there are bad reviews here but I never experienced a bad experience here. In fact just the opposite from other business owners. One transmission place last year seem so dishonest and the rate was so much higher than Budget Transmission, that I had a gut feeling that I didn't trust that business and went to Budget instead. From that first day, they made me feel comfortable and glad I chose them to do the work. In fact this is my 2nd rebuilt transmission.\r The first rebuilt transmission was not done here and I regretted it. Not only that, my battery strap that held my battery down was not put back on to it and the cables to the battery were loose, so my car broke down shortly after getting my car back and to find out it was because of the battery not being properly secured to the car really upset me. Plus, their quote was 1,000.00 more than Budgets quote. When I told the other business I was going to have it towed long distance to Budget for my first rebuilt transmission, the business was upset and lowered their price 1,000.00 . Maybe they were so upset they lost money on me that they didn't care about how they but everything back together in the car. I didn't have a choice then where to have my rebuilt transmission, but I do now. I was not told about maintenance for a rebuilt transmission from this other business. I don't know, maybe we are just suppose to know after so many miles the fluid needs to be changed. Just glad Budget covers all bases and not just do the job and collect the money for it. Just discussing the maintenance of it, made me realize that I this is were I want to return for maintenance. I will not return to the other gas station that repaired my car the first time and I had a great verbal review on Budget Transmission years ago and don't know why I didn't come here first.\r They do other work besides transmissions that they specialize in, like brakes. And they have experienced mechanics, not just out of mechanic school. I'm a happy client and will be back.\r \r Five stars for this review and my review on June 30, 2015. This review is long overdue and I'm sorry I didn't add this a year ago. This review is for Aug. 2014 when I needed a rebuilt transmission. I remember I got a great verbal review from a happy client, on a rebuilt transmission years ago on these guys and it stayed in the back of my mind if I ever needed help. First of all, they were so friendly, Rey, Mike and Sammy, they really know their stuff. And their mechanics are definitely experienced. They have a great team. more

Went to Budget Transmission after another mechanic messed up my car. Rey was the absolute BEST. He fixed my car in a timely manner and always called to tell me what he was doing before he worked on my car. I honestly wished I had went to Budget first but you live and you learn. I will recommend Budget Transmission to all my friends and family. Rey, Mike and all the workers took very good care of my car and I couldn't be more thankful! more

I am a repeat customer and have dealt with Budget Transmission Center before. The first time I went there, they replaced my transmission and gave me a 1 year warranty. At 11 months, the transmission went again and I took it back in. They replaced it, no questions asked. This happened again 11 months later and again, they replaced it without question. They stand by their guarantee and that's hard to find these days.\r This most recent time, I was having my transmission replaced at Budget Transmission Center. Because of the storm, they were still waiting on a part and the job ended up taking longer than originally expected. It also cost me more because I had to keep the rental car longer. The quality of work was good, though. The original price was several hundred dollars less than competitors so they are definitely worth the value. more

Well , not even six months after I had the work done I find myself on the side of the highway because the transmission failed while I was accelerating to change lanes. I was more concerned about my elderly grandmother who was in my truck at the time. When I called budget they reported that their flat bed truck was down and it will be some time before they could come pick it up. All faith that I had in the job has come crashing down I will give update on professionalism and work once the do pick up my truck. Concerned customer. more

I take both my Volkswagen and a Jaguar to Budget Transmission Center. I've been using them for about two years now. If they don't get the repairs right the first time, they'll make sure to fix it the second time around.\r When you call Budget Transmission Center, they tell you the truth. Before doing any work, they let you know what's going on. I think their work is honest and is not over priced. more
