All I wanted was a copy of my eye glasses prescription! I have moved out of state, but I only get one eye doctor visit per year on my insurance, so I relied on Bridgemill Eye Care to supply my prescription so I could purchase a new pair of glasses. The office staff could not be bothered to find an economical and timely way to get my prescription to me. I was lied to over the phone and treated as an inconvenience. When mailing and faxing were finally discussed, I was told that these are the only two ways the prescription could be sent. Despite supplying both my physical address and a fax number, the office staff did not send the prescription in any of the ways they said they would. When I called to ask about it a week after my first request, I was bullied, lied to, and given the run around while they tried to cover up the fact that they had been so unprofessional. When I finally got to speak with the actual doctor, she apologized so much it felt pathetic...but she did nothing to try to make the situation right. I don't know if the office is failing and that is why the office staff behaves in an ugly manner, but regardless of the reasons, you do NOT want to be treated this way. They are nice to you, I will say, when you are giving them money. I have discovered that their up-charge on the purchase of frames and lenses is extreme. If you do go see this doctor, definitely shop your purchase around. You will save hundreds of dollars.
