Review content:
Do not get your glasses here! I recently retired and moved here from Florida, where I've been getting eye exams and glasses from the same friendly office for the past 5 years. I expected a similar experience from Bridgemill Eye Care on Sixes Road, but I was sorely disappointed. Dr. Furey gave me a very thorough exam, for which I paid a $35 co-pay. Then I was ushered into the frames on display and became a little worried when I saw the price tags. Ms. Paula Brock wrote me up for a pair of designer frames, which would cost me $400! She did not call to verify my insurance coverage, and she did not offer me a simpler, less expensive frame. To say that she was a little pushy is an understatement. As I left the office that Friday I asked the front desk staff to please call and verify my insurance coverage on frames and lens. They promised to call on Monday, but by Thursday I still had heard nothing. Only after I sent email to their website to complain did Ms. Brock call me to offer a syrupy apology, but she also chided me with a reminder that it is not her responsibility to verify insurance.
