Finding ourselves in SF on Friday night, tried to make reservations but they were booked (of course). They said, though, that they sometimes can accommodate walk-ins without reservations so we stopped in and they were able to give us a cozy ""bistro"" table in the bar. We hesitated because it was in the bar but we went for it and it turned out, to my surprise, to be a fun place to be. The food was, in short, incredible. One of the best dining experiences I've had from start to finish. The service was a little rushed but we *were* in the bar and it was an extremely busy Friday night so I'm willing to give them a pass. It was quite expensive, but we spent about the same the next night at Shanghai 1930 for a much, much lesser meal. I would go back to Boulevard in a second.
Pros: Great food!, Ambience, Fun
Cons: Heavily booked
