The worst service I have ever encountered. Incompetent. Unreliable. They are overpriced. I had them out to fix a leaky washer and $400 later it leaks just the same as before. Their only answer is well there is now a new problem and it will be another $400! It was never fixed in the first place. Owner refused to speak to me, hung up and said have your husband call so I can have him talk some sense into you!! DONT USE!! more

DON?T USE THEM, WORST WORK AND BUSINESS ETHICS\r \r ?\r \r Save yourself the frustrations of working with them. We had to use them for our warranty through Lowes. If Lowes does the same to you demand a different company. They ordered parts for a dishwasher telling us it would be in in a few days and we never heard back. Three weeks later we called Lowes only to learn it was on backorder and no one told us. When our ice maker stopped working and compressor made strange noises they ordered an entire new ice maker without actually coming to look at the problem so we don?t even know if they will be fixing the actual problem. They jerked us around and wouldn?t even come out to diagnose the problem with our fridge compressor b/c they didn?t want to make more than one trip out (keep in mind they are in our town). They made us wait until the parts came in for the backordered dishwasher part and ice maker. Meanwhile we told them we couldn?t wait b/c I am 9 months pregnant and couldn?t afford for our appliances not to work when the baby is born. ?They no showed for 2 appointments after we rearranged our work schedules and paid for our dog to be at doggie daycare (both times) to accommodate their availability. They are SO rude on the phone. In our final attempt we learned from Lowes they refused to come to our home and fix our fridge because I ?was rude to them on the phone? when all I did was asked to speak to a manager after some woman hung up on me. \r \r ?\r \r They don?t care about their customers. Now we have to start all over with a new company through Lowes and hoping our appliance hold out since my due date is in a week! \r \r ? more

We hired Boston Joes when the water dispenser on our fridge stopped working. The tech defrosted the line and the water worked. He said if it froze again we may need a new door -- quoting about $500. He left, I went to work. That night I went to use the ice dispenser for the first time since the repair and the flap that controls the ice fell out. The water worked but the ice was now broken. I called the next day and asked them to come back out to take a look. They said they could come in four days and denied the tech did anything to cause the flap to fall out. I drove to the shop to show the part that was in the refrigerator door was not in my hand. Still denied it was anything they did, but they could sell me a new part and charge me to come out and put it in. I told them I was going to cancel the check. The conversation ended with the man telling me ""I don't give a shit what you do."" In front of my 5-year-old son. more

Our refrigerator has been down for several weeks now. A young tech came to our home to "fix' it but he actually scratched his head and said that he didn't know how to fix one of these. He made some minor repairs (unclogging the ice build up) and left. The fridge took about a week to cool and then it began to warm up again. I called Sears and they recommended Boston Joe's again. I was doubtful that someone there would be able to fix it but Sears told me that I could request a senior technician. When I called Boston Joe's to determine the date and time of the appointment, the abrupt man (he wouldn't tell me his name) told me that the techs work in territories and that I could not have anyone else. If I didn't want the young man to come, then I had to call Sears back and get one of their techs. I told him that the previous tech was not able to fix our fridge and we wanted someone else and the abrupt man called me rude for saying that! I don't know how that comment was rude - it was true! more

I said, ""Sure, if the technician is able to fix the fridge,"" He shouted, ""Call Sears ""! and hung up on me.\r \r He was incredibly rude, abrupt and nasty. I do not recommend this company at all! If you have a warranty and are able to go through a different company, PLEASE DO IT! Stay far away from these people! I would rather wait a month for a REAL repair company than to have anyone from Boston Joe's come to my home. more

Horrible Service - Rude Management 8/8/2013

Joe should rename his business! Boston Joe's No-Service Appliance LLC. Young tech came to repair range. He told me he knew what the problem was and would order parts. Three weeks passes...\r I call to check on parts. Left on hold.... Called back later..asked to hold again...asked him to call me back. I called back again later and was transfered to another person who was extremely rude and obnoxious. He had no idea of the problem with the appliance and stated they would not return to repair. What? Wasted four weeks! more

Very, very rude, inappropriate and vulgar!! I made an appointment through my warranty company for a washing machine issue who contracted with Boston Joe's. I made the appointment for between 12:00 - 5:00, they showed up at 9:30, nobody was home so they left us a message. Called them back and they said there was somebody in the area so they sent them early and now they could not come back, we stated that our appointment was for after 12:00, but they did not care. My wife took the day off to be home and nothing got fixed, or even looked at! They said to me, ""if I checked the schedule yesterday and saw you were booked for the afternoon I would have called to switch the times, but I didn't and we can't come back now"". So since they messed up their scheduling they expected us to take more time off, and said ""what else do you want me to do? We tried to come out and you were not there."" Gee I don't know, maybe provide customer service and admit fault/error!!! The ""owner"" then got on the phone and said, "" I am tired of dealing with you and your wife, either take the other appointment or call back your warranty company for someone else to do the repair."" Being a Director for a large local company I was floored by this reaction. When I confronted the ""owner"" about his ridiculously poor customer service and social interaction he said, ""I don't have #$@%^& time to deal with you and your irate #$^%# wife! I have a business to run"" and hung up the phone (yes that is vulgar profanity). Never have I been treated so poorly as a customer who did nothing wrong to begin with. Do yourself a favor and avoid this company at all costs! You don't have to base it just off of me, read all of the other reviews as well. more

The Worst in the business! 3 missed appointments, no call backs, and when you do get someone on the phone, rude, crude and vulgar! Was easier to buy a new clothes washing machine than to have those incompetents in my home ! If ever I get referred to them again, Id assume throw out the appliance! more

VERY RUDE OWNER, BAD SERVICE 9/11/2011

I called them cause they gave me an early appointment to fix my refrigerator The guy seems to be very nice went he came in. Told me what was wrong he ordered parts next week when parts came he installed and left. Two days later the fridge was not working again. I called again an he said now it needs another part. I don't know why he could not guessed it the first time. I called the office an the owner was very rude I told him he cannot keep charging me labor charge until his service man figures out what is wrong with the fridge. anyway i told him to order the parts. service man installs it but the motherbord fuses off so he has to order again. The owner says service man knows what he is doing but i guess he does not and on top of this the owner want me to charge outragous labor charge. do not go with this company. They are just a ripe off. i ended up calling some one else and paid more money. more

Very Disappointing 8/16/2011

Boston Joes is a certified LG repair center in my area. I called them to fix an appliance three weeks ago. I waited for three days for the first appointment, at which time they told me they needed to order a part. They said it should be in by Tuesday. I proactively called to get into their schedule for Tuesday and was told they couldn't make it until Wed, likely in the morning. On Wed morning I called to see what time they were coming out and only then did they realize the part they ordered was delivered to them broken. So they had to reorder the part. We rescheduled for the following week, on Tuesday. They rescheduled for Wed. Then the guy called out sick on Wed, so we rescheduled for Thurs. He called out sick on Thursday, so they rescheduled for Friday morning. They showed up on Friday around 3 or 4pm, and guess what? They had the wrong part! So they ordered a new part and rescheduled for the following Tuesday. Tuesday morning.... On Tuesday I called them around Noon to see where they were, and they said the tech would be here between 1 and 3pm now. The tech himself called at 2:45 and said he'd be here in an hour. 6pm came and went - no one showed and they aren't answering their phone. more

The dispatcher Ralph was very kind and helpful and was able to put me on next day! the repair went smooth and within three days (because of part order) they completed the job on my dryer I was impressed. more

Poor Service 11/15/2010

This repair service has been nothing but a headache !! The technician arrived the day I had called and repaired the ""loose wire on door"" and within a few days the same problem occured. I called them back and the same technician came out and said I needed a new part. The part was ordered and replaced. The washer continued not working properly. I had the same problem going on. I called again 3 1/2 weeks later and the same technicain came out and said I needed another part. So far, the cost was $ 254.90 and the washer was never repaired and they wanted me to pay an additional $250 plus dollars for another new part and service. I spoke with the owner, who was rude and chose not to resolve the matter. I plan to pursue this complaint further. I want to warn consumers of this appliance repair service to save your money and headaches, not to mention loss time from work !! more

FIND A MORE RELIABLE REPAIRER 7/28/2010

TOWN OF ANDOVER SET UP AN APPOINTMET FOR AN A/C REPAIR IN THE TOWN CLERKS OFFICE. REPAIRMAN WENT TO THE BUILDING DEPARTMENT OFFICE. REPAIRER THEN CLAIMED SOMEONE SAID SOMETING HE DID NOT LIKE AND REFUSED TO DO THE REPAIR. I CALLED JOE TO FIND OUT WHAT HAPPENED JOE WAS RUDE AND CLAIMED SOMEONE WAS NOT NICE TO HIM AND REFUSED TO GIVE ANY SERVICE. I SUGGEST THAT IF YOU HAVE A REPAIR GO TO A RELIABLE SERVICE REPAIRER FIRST SELECTMAN TOWN OF ANDOVER Cons: DOES NOT DO THE JOB more

Stay away 7/23/2010

I had a refrigerator problem and called Whirlpool service center. They made a service appointment for me with these guys. I was told that technician will call the day before to confirm. Appointment time frame was from 8:00AM to 5:00PM. Nobody called me to confirm. On the scheduled day around 2:00 PM I started to get nervous and called service center to make sure that repairman is coming. They couldn't reach Boston Joe's what so ever. Customer Rep left 3 or 4 voice messages but it was all in vain. I ended up scrambling to find another repair company, hopefully it will be different experience. Very rude phone personality 6/21/2010

After calling frigidaire for an authorization number they steered me to these people.Then woman on the phone was rude and makes you feel like a criminal or something.Treated me like I was lying or something then told me to expect someone to come between nine and five oclock the next day.Well noone called or showed up.I wish that electrolux would screen these poor performers.Now I just lost a freezer and fridge full of food because it was a Friday that they were to service my broken refridgerator... My Experience was great 3/12/2010

I called to get an estimate and they explained their pricing structure to me which seemed the best of all the companies I called. Hector called before he arrived and then showed up a litter sooner than he thought. He was friendly and knowledgable and when he couldn't find the schematic that should have been with the machine he called in for the information that he needed. He tested it, diagnosed the problem and fixed it, then tested it to make sure it was operating right. He's been with the company 13 years so i think they both must be doing something right. Pros: Hector did a fine job Cons: none come to mind more
