Paul Smith was courteous and efficient. Enjoyed having him at our home to correct our problem.

came for the blower, and spent more than 30min for diagnosis. Then I was told that the gas valve was bad, and given a quote of $800 for basic repair or $1,700 with few months warranty. $1,700!!, enough for a new system with manufacturer's warranty!!\r \r The worst thing was the gas valve is actually good, but the control board was bad, what a miserable diagnosis!!!\r \r I called another company, the technician came in and told me what was wrong in the first 2min, seriously 2min. What a BIG BIG difference!!!\r \r The problem was fixed for $360 ($230 was for the part) with some mantainance and warranty.\r \r To save your money on AC/Plumbing/furnace problems, call another company and stay away from BH.\r \r more

Called about air conditioning unit. Fan motor was out. B/H came out and quoted me $1500 to fix it. I told them no. Another company was able to fix it for $230. This company is A MAJOR RIP-OFF!!! more

Never hired this company, missed two appointments on back to back days. If you are looking for a company that is able to be timely and actually show up to do the work this might not be your company. more

do NOT call this place! 5/9/2012

Called them for a toilet leak problem, and we got a quote of $832 to fix, and that's the discounted price if we buy the yearly membership of $9/mo, or we could buy a new toilet for $1080 (the discounted price). We decided to forfeit the $48 service call charge. The leak was fixed for a little over $100 in the end. Do NOT call Bob Hamilton. more

Would Use again! 1/16/2012

Bob Hamilton sent Anthony and Sam out to my house to help clear my kitchen sink line. They were fast and clean and I will use them again. Thanks ! more

Great service Fast and Effiecient 1/9/2012

I had Sam come out to my house to clear a kitchen drain. He was clean, fast and gave me a lot of information. I will use them again. more

Overcharged - - way overcharged 12/21/2011

My 80+ year old mother called them without my knowledge. After doing the work and my mother letting me know after the fact, I called around to other companies to see what they charged. BH Plumbing overcharged by more than 300%. When I called BH, it was almost like they expect these phone calls. The representative rattled off why BH has to charge so much more than other companies...more training...blah...blah...blah. Steer cleer. more

Unethical 10/4/2011

RUN AWAY from Bob Hamilton Plumbing. They fabricated a sewer line break and told me I needed to excavate. Their technician during my yellow pages $99 main sewer line service call failed to unclog my line. $6,000 quote for excavation. Second company got the line open for $110. I hired them to do another video for my peace of mind. This cost $225, and it shows I do have some sludge which will cost $600 to clean out, and a small dip in my line that can be managed with good drain habits and a cleaning every 3-4 years. The list of what Bob Hamilton did wrong is too long to list. RUN AWAY! more

Supervise the Supervisor! 9/18/2011

I hired Bob Hamilton for one small and one major project in an old neighborhood. All I can say is thank God I was home while they were working! In the end the full scope of work was never completed. I was told that the city would have to fix a problem on their end and if they didn't... then BH would fix it for free... said it would be an easy fix, no problem at all. Three months later (and numerous emails/phone calls to the city inspector/BH), no results whatsoever. Although they did entertain the first couple emails/calls, BH decided to ignore the rest of my inquiries in hopes that I would eventually go away. They won. Did I mention that they didn't even begin the "smaller" job at all? more

Bob Hamilton Plumbing--Most expensive in Town. 8/13/2011

My experience with Bob Hamilton plumbing was a negative one. The plumber came out and spent less than one hour fixing a shower that was clogged up with calcium deposits. He put one small part in shower hook up and following was what they charged. $48 for call and $472 for fixing the shower unit. For a grand total of $520. This is highway robbery. I would never reccomend this company to anyone. A company that charges these kind of prices for the amount of actual work they did is rediculous. At every opportunity i have I will tell people about my experience with Bob Hamilton Plumbing. more

They are out for your money! 6/21/2011

I'm giving these guys 2 stars because I am happy with our new heating/a/c unit for the most part, simply because I'm happy to have heat and air conditioning. But... we've had our unit for almost a year now. Our A/C went out last summer. When they came to fix it, they ""found"" that our furnace in addition to the a/c needed to be replaced. This was on a Friday. My husband has a heart condition, so we were concerned about the heat wave that was going through and how to handle it over the weekend. The salesperson finally talked us into a new unit at 5:30 in the evening. At this point, we knew we would not get to talk to another company for a second opinion until the next week sometime. We listened to how this unit would really cost us about $3,500 less than the actual price due to a $1,000 rebate (which turned out to be $500) and a tax credit of $1,500 (which you only get, depending on what YOUR individual taxes are), etc. In the end , the new unit cost over $10,000. It didn't really hit us until we got our final bill, because it's all laid out very ""smoothly"" so that the bottom, final number (after ""savings"") is less than the top, actual cost number. It's deceiving. We were happy to get the new unit on Monday and happy that we felt like we were getting fast service after a very hot and miserable weekend. They said the unit would be covered for 10 years (as in guarantee and warranty) if we took their service plan. The service plan was included for the first 3 years, but we would have to pay for it the final 7 years. What they don't tell you when they are doing their sales pitch is that the service plan ONLY includes coming out to check your unit. It does NOT include routine maintenance or if they find anything wrong, or if it needs service. They would like you to schedule your service checks before the weather gets cold for the furnace and before it gets hot for the a/c. On the one hand, this is good because it seems it would catch problems before you need to use it. On the other hand, this means that you have no idea if the unit is working properly because you have not had it on. If there is a problem later, you pay for that service call. When they came out last Fall to check the furnace, they warned us that the Humidistat would likely cause the windows to fog up - it was the same sales pitch we got when we bought it. We thought this would help with the dry air in the house, but it has not. We had the Humidistat set on the max it would go and never had foggy windows nor did the unit show a humidity level in the house even close to the lowest they said it would read. As it turns out, the humidifier that is attached to the furnace leaked all winter. They started calling us to check our a/c in March. Our schedule never worked out until June, which we figured would be better anyhow, because we will have used the a/c unit by then. We got a call the day they were scheduled to come saying they couldn't make it because they had people without any air conditioning that they needed to see right away. I can understand that, so they came the following week. After they came to ""check"" (not service as it appears in the Service Plan) our a/c, I realized just how much Bob Hamilton is out after your money and does not care about YOU! They replaced the filter in the Humidifier to the tune of almost $100. The a/c unit ""needed"" to be torqued to clean the debris. That cost another $200. They said it could not be cleaned out with a water hose. My husband watched the guy do this and still does not understand why it needed to be torqued. It barely had any debris in there. Please understand, we've had this unit less than a year. When I called the company, they said this was all routine maintenance and that it is not covered under the service plan. What happened to the 10-year warranty/guarantee??? I feel like we've been royally screwed!!! I cannot recommend this company to anyone at all. more

Overcharged 6/15/2011

Beware. Took advantage of my 70+ aged mother and over charged her. When I called around to other plumbing companies to see what they would charge for the work done, Bob Hamilton had overcharged her by over 300%. When I called to rectify the situation, the representative had her speech down pat which tells me they get calls like this on a regular basis. She had all sorts of excuses as to why they charge so much. One of the reasons didn't include the expense to put Bob Hamilton's mug on his trucks which he should have passed on in my opinion. Steer clear...way clear. more

Dishonest company 6/8/2011

I recently called Bob Hamilton Plumbing because I had a particularly nasty clog in my kitchen sink which I was unable to clear on my own. I ended up choosing them because their web site had a page claiming they would clear a clog for just $99. I called them up and when the plumber arrived he quoted me $280. Apparently the $99 offer was only for a "main drain", and the main drain my kitchen sink was attached to wasn't what they meant. I was already going to have to pay the $50 dispatch fee, so I agreed to amount. Upon completion of the work, the plumber was pouring the gunk he removed from the kitchen drain down a drain in my basement and clogged it up as well. He asked me if I would like him to clear it and I said yes. He didn't tell me he was going to charge me another $230+ to clear the basement drain which he clogged. In the end I had to pay about $535 for a job I thought was going to be $99. I'm especially unhappy about paying to fix the plumber's mistake. I won't be doing business more

Great service 5/26/2011

Corky and his crew at Bob Hamilton heating and A/C did a greta job of setting us up and installing a monster unit for our house. They were easy to work with, and offered no B.S. Gave great advice and did not try to sell us anything, just provided the facts. They let the product and warranty speak for itself. The installation crew were no nonsense workers. No mess, no fuss. Good bye to my 43 year old furnace and 30 year old A/C unit. Thanks Corky for putting me in the 21st century. more

Big talk but poor service 5/11/2011

I purchased one year service agreement for heating and cooling in 2010 from Bob Hamilton. They stated priority would be provided during service to their customer who has service agreement. But that?s far from reality. \r \r I had a scheduled A/C maintenance at 4pm. So, I leave early from office but found a message for reschedule service at my home phone, which actually 2 weeks after the actual scheduled date. They purposely call at home, when they have my cell number, to avoid any confrontation. Later when I called, they agreed to come after hours at a cost of additional $65. \r \r They do not care about schedule or customer?s time. I will not use Bob Hamilton?s service again and not recommend anyone. A totally distrusted company. more

Beware! 12/22/2010

I asked these guys to check out a squeaky blower motor on a furnace. Instead, these guys told my tenant the furnace was unsafe and needed to be replaced. They then attempted to send a "comfort consultant" to my house to speck out a new furnace. The furnace was just serviced a year earlier when I had AC installed. This smells like a scam to sell a furnace on a very cold day. Beware! more

bob hamilton plumbing heating and ac is awsome! 12/8/2010

i was really in a bind, single parent, two boys ages 5 & 7 and my furnace got red flagged by the gas company. its down to 20' at night and my neighbor recommended bob hamilton and i have heard story after story about people getting the shaft by hvac guys.\r i called bob hamilton and the reception was warm and friendly and it just got better. i got a great deal on a new furnace and the installers worked in below freezing temps in the crawl space under my house for six hours. had to prefab alot due to my the exhisting furnace being 40 yrs old. they were friendly and knew what they were doing. i've been in construction for 16 yrs and i was very impressed with them. the salesman was awsome. the boys and i are warm at night and like i said i was very impressed with the whole process. 5 stars for bob hamilton and i will reccomend to anyone i talk to. more

Worth EVERY Penny! 11/15/2010

I had decided to put a new A/C, Furnace, and ductwork in my house this past fall 2010. I researched online and through various contacts and friends on who were the best people to deal with and who was the best value. The companies I chose to get estimates from were large companies offering LENNOX,TRANE, EVEREST, and RUUD systems. I had a very specific criteria for each of the companies to meet. Such as: no heat pump, include a thremostat, and humidifier and fix the ductwork that was in disrepair. \r \r Corky with Bob Hamilton was the first person I met with when getting my estimates. Corky sat down with me and went through each of my options and explained to me what his best value for each of my criteria. Corky was straight forward, honest, and friendly. He was a pleasure to meet and was by far the best salesman from the group I had visit my home. \r \r Bob Hamilton was not the cheapest estimate I recieved. His estimate was the best value in my opinion. And I 'm glad I made the more

Great customer service 11/11/2010

Had two extremely positive encounters with Bob Hamilton Plumbing this week. I called at the beginning of the week regarding an outdoor plumbing concern. Bobby Hamilton came out to the house Tuesday and camera'ed about 30 feet of a dry-well, french drain in my back yard that took over 2 years of city government red tape, engineers, tons of money and headaches to install when I learned my house was grossly inadequately drained from water. He was extremely kind, informative and reassuring the very expensive french drain, although not with correct slope and retaining some standing water in a part of it, is functionable and shouldn't cause freezing damage. Worth the service visit fee!!! I can move on from the 2 years of expensive drainage woes, and now the recent concerns of winter freezing I've had. \r \r Then, I called this morning to get a quote of someone coming out to re-level off my AC/heat pump unit which had sunk towards the house with the drainage problems over the years. A previous workman propped a stone under the freon coil to lift the unit up. I didn't want unit to sink further and crack off copper coil. Corky W. came to the house within an hour of calling to give a quote to level it off. (Another high profile KC heating company quoted me $500 - $900 on the phone to level off the unit, even though they knew it was just on a plastic pad, not cement.) \r \r Corky was an absolute joy. He was an outgoing, warm guy who put on his ""handy man"" hat and asked for some wood and then a shovel. He leveled it off himself. He was here all of 5 minutes total. He refused any payment for the service visit and said a thank you was all that was necessary. So here is one big thank you!! \r \r I absolutely recommend this company. Everyone I spoke with on the phone was very courteous and had great, timely follow-thru. They have the old fashioned work ethic and customer service with integrity and kindness. Don't run in to that much anymore. And to refuse any payment for coming to the house and doing a repair is remarkable. Particularly in this economy, it would be expected for any company to insist on a service visit payment, and in fact, would be undeniably fair, since a repair was made that I couldn't do on my own.\r \r I will absolutely use Bob Hamilton plumping for all further plumbing and heating/cooling needs. FYI-- BBB gives them an A+ rating too. more
