GREAT! They have managed my rental properties for over 7 years and I have had very little vacancy, have received rental increases, and they have held my 2 problem tenant's feet to the fire when the tenants caused problems. Not the cheapest on paper, but well worth it! Self-managed prior to hiring them and I have made more money since they took over AND I do not have the headache. Thanks for the help! more

If I could rate Birch Management any lower I would. I warn all potential landlords and tenants to stay away. Tenants you can see the other reviews for yourself. However, I chose them to manage my property in Greensboro. They had people show up without any advance notice several times and enter the home, but with an agent. As indicated in the other reviews, you can never reach anyone and in my case I could never speak to the same person twice in a row. The person assigned as my property manager up and quit. I was not notified and only found out when I decided to go with a different agency. At that point, I was quoted direct lines from the contract indicating I would be on the hook for several fees since they now had an ""approved applicant"" ready to move into the home. I called their bluff and the ""approved applicant"" never materialized. However, on the very same day they indicated all the fees I would be on the hook for because of the contract, THEY GAVE OUT KEYS TO COMPLETE STRANGERS WITH US STILL LIVING IN HOME. MY WIFE AND KIDS CAME HOME TO FIND TWO MEN AND TWO WOMEN ROAMING THE HOUSE AND LOOKING THROUGH OUR BELONGINGS. THIS IS IN VIOLATION OF THEIR OWN CONTRACT: To allow prospective tenants and others, at the discretion of the Agent, to enter into the Property, unaccompanied by Agent or any representative, and to provide such person(s) with a key to the Property, provided the Property is vacant and such person(s) execute a Key Checkout Agreement before receiving a key to the Property. The property wasn't vacant and the individuals frightened my wife and kids. In short, don't be surprised to find someone in your home, even while you (and your family) are living there if you use Birch Management to manage your property. more

If I could give zero stars, I would. I was renting a unit in Brookside, and halfway through my lease, my landlord moved out of state. He hired Birch Management to take care of the property. I purposely avoided renting one of their properties for years after enough friends had told me to stay far away. You can never get them to answer the phone. They most surely will raise your rent once your lease is up and goes to 30-day notice (by at least $100 more a month). And even a year after you've moved out, if the building has a call box, you will still get calls to let FexEx into the building because they won't have the number changed to the current resident. Then when you call for the fourth time to have your number removed, they will return your call, interrupt you, yell at you, and tell you it's not their problem. And they will start showing the unit months before you're scheduled to move out, and they will not give you notice before they come, so strangers will walk in and out of where you live for months. They are awful. Do not rent from them. more

This place is a total rip off. They take your 50.00 app. fee and neglect to tell you in advance that if one adult gets rejected, all get rejected. I paid 50.00 app. fee and called office multiple times no answer no callbacks ever after leaving numerous voicemails. They day we walked into their office the receptionist was extremely rude , rolled her eyes at us at one point. I make good money and had references and rental history and proof of income etc. , but since they ran my fiance first she got rejected they automatically rejected me. I knew her income was too low to qualify to begin with but was counting on my app. to make up for that which apparantly they never gave a chance. I hope they are happy with their nice office and their well dressed staff while they are collecting who knows how many app. fees to compensate. bravo Birch I hope you can sleep at night with all the people you rip off. more

Since they took over my property I have seen nothing but good things. They always show concern for my property and treat it as their own. I appreciate the work they do, it makes my life much easier. They have done a wonderful job. more
