The place to go for car stereo in the East Bay 11/16/2009

It is hard to find a business these days where the owner is there taking care of you and cares that you are satisfied. I went in without an appointment and after a consult they had the unit installed in my Eurovan in 30 mins. This the way I imagine business was conducted 50 years ago when most businesses were family owned. The young installers really know their business. Would highly recommend. Pros: Friendly folks, honest, fast service, reasonable prices more

Tinting on my Cadillac 9/12/2009

I recently got a window tinting done on my cadillac. The first trip was good. I brought the car home and found some imperfections in the rear windows and took the car back. GREAT WORK, FUN PEOPLE 9/10/2009

I had a car alarm and window tinting done on my 2008 honda accord. Both came with a lifetime warranty for no extra charge. I waited around, both jobs took three hours total, while I was waiting I talked to the people who worked their. Every one was really nice and the time went by quick. My car came out great, every thing went as planned. Pros: Family owned, fun to talk to. more

Professional car service at a good price 9/2/2009

I took my 1982 benz in for a window tint removal. The price was right, and the window is now 100% tint free, with all the original defroster lines intact; next to impossible to do for an old car. The price I paid was $8 less than what they quoted me over the phone, and the work they did was perfect. I would not hesitate to recommend them. Expert Window Tinting! 7/14/2009

The Best Guys were very helpful in helping me decide the correct tint for my car, completed the work on time & the results were perfect! Best Guys has extremely good and professional customer service, knowledgeable and professional staff and fair pricing. They really provide value to their customers. Don't believe the negative reviews -- I was treated very fairly. They answered all my questions, were very knowledgeable about product options and promptly handled my order. most proffesional shop in the bay area 9/22/2008

I have read the negative reviews about the best guys and I dont believe that they are true. I used to be an employee at the best guys and I know that they pride themselves on customer service. I was just in there on Saturday and I witnessed an employee volunteer to stay late so that that they could do a job for a customer that needed a stereo for the weekend, even though they had a full scheduel, they even gave the customer a ride home so that they didnt have to wait at the shop. It is this can do attitude that keeps them busy, even though the economy is bad rite now. Their work is impecible and their equipment is state of the art. Doug and Dave are the best bosses that I have ever had, and they would do whatever it takes to make a customer happy. I believe that these negative reviews are fraudulant and probobally perpetrated by less proffesional shops that are lacking businuss. I live in the area and everyone that I know does businuss with the best guys, because the quality of work and customer service is second to none. Please do not listen to these negative reviews, rather ask someone for yourself, chances are that you know someone who shops there. And I assure you that they will have nothing but good things to say about them. Thank you for taking the time to read this, and have a good time with your expierence at the best guys. more

REFUSE TO DO BUSINESS ELSEWHERE!!!!! 9/10/2008

I have been a customer of THE BEST GUYS for over ten years and i wouldnt do business with anyone else... I moved out of the East Bay three years ago and I still make it back to concord to have my window tinting and stereo work done, not only for my veichles but for my families veichles as well.... The customer service is great, the work is great, and the enviroment is unlike anyother business of its kind. The installations have always been clean and done right. Everytime that i have had a system done by the best guys either the owner or one of the installers has gone out of their way to listen to the system with me and do any fine tuning on the amplifiers or head unit while im present to ensure that i am satisfied with the sound.. GREAT WORK, GREAT SERVICE, HIGHLY RECCOMENDED!!!!! more

Bad facility and ok workmanship, not great. 8/4/2008

Facility does not have a clean area for tinting. Its done in a carport with a dirt and gravel floor. The results show. Out of the six pieces of glass tinted only two was free of tiny particles. You can feel the particles under the tint. The rear window tint was cut slightly short on one side. From a distance it looks ok. But upon closer inspection, not so good. more

Beware! 6/13/2008

My family and I had been using these guys for years. They've tinted our cars, installed sterors, satellite radios, and most recently, a hands free bluetooth car kit. However, my recent transaction with them will keep me from ever going back. I made an appointment for my girlfriend to have her car tinted and get bluetooth put in her car. I told them this when I made her appointment, and they said no problem. We took it in on her day off (Monday). She gets a call at 4:30 that the car was tinted, but the bluetooth kit wasn't put in. Basically, they told her too bad, and that she'd have to bring it in another time. They were rude to her when she tried to ask questions, and explain that she doesn't live in the area and can't just bring it back any time. They didn't offer anything to make up for their failure to live up to their promise. Terrible customer service. I'm pretty sure she was only treated like this becaus she was a girl. I for one will stop recommending this place to my friends. If you can't live up to your promises, then what good are you? Cons: Poor customer service, failure to perform work promised more

Poor customer service! 4/26/2008

I found the Best Guys while searching on the internet. I selected this facility because it was "family owned." I wanted to have installed a backup camera/sensors to be interfaced with my existing monitor in my Mitsubishi Galant. I drove out 30 miles and met Doug. He was friendly and I advised him of what I wanted. He made a few calls on my behalf on the items I mentioned while I waited. He told me he needed to do some research, took my phone number and would get back to me. Exactly one week later, I noticed I missed a call on my cell phone. The number looked familiar, so I compared it to Best Guys business number. And sure enough, a call was placed to my phone "one" week later with NO message from Best Guys. I was very disappointed to learn that not only it took one week for Best Guys to call me back, but to call me and not even leave a message. So much for supporting family owned businesses. As a small business owner myself, I know how it is important to maintain customer relations and service. I was not impressed and would not recommend this company. They are the Best 6/30/2007

I got a stereo from Pantells in Antioch, they sold me a lemon and my customer service was horrible. When I took my car to The Best Guys I was amazed the difference in service. I don't know one thing about cars or car stereos. The wiring that was done from the other shop was done very shotty and The Best Guys fixed that for free when I purchased my new stereo through them. I later came back to get my windows tinted and they remembered me. I was shocked because I am sure they see a ton of people daily, but they remebered I was a repeat customer and gave me a great deal on tinting my camero. From one thing to another I was very happy with everything they did. Although I live in Antioch and there are places closer to me to get the same services I will drive over the hill in order to get the customer service I got from them. My windows look great, nice and dark no one can see in and my stereo sound amazing. Sounds like it cost more then it did, to me a least. Pros: Very helpful Cons: none more

I recommend all my customers to them 6/30/2007

I own a Audio body & paint shop. I work on a lot of old hot rods, when the owners ask me who should they go to for all customer stereo needs I say "The Best Guys" You should see their work. They have build some amazing custom fiber glass boxes that look great for car shows. Anyone looking into an full system or even just simple speakers should see them. They know what they are talking about. They don't try to sell you more then you need, they are not sells men they are business men that love what they do. I have had numours things done by them. From my truck to boat they know what they are doing. You should check them out. Pros: Everything, I will always use these guys Cons: nothing I can complain about more

Window Tinting Place of the year 6/30/2007

In the past 3 years I have had three car tinted through The Best Guys. Two Honda's and a chev. Truck. I called other places and their prices are by far they best around. You think for have such low prices the quality wouldn't be there by it is. They offer lifetime warranty and garrenty their work for life. I have told my whole family to go to them and recommend anyone else looking into Audio or window tinting services to go to them. Pros: My car looks great, great customer service too. Best Car Audio & Window Tinting around 6/30/2007

I have had all my work done from these guys and they have always treated me right. My windows of my jeep look great and when my stereo I bought from them was stolen, they cut me a deal on the second system I had to buy. They also talked me into getting XM radio man I love it. I couldn't be any happier with a company. I live in Sacramento and I recommend all my friends to go see them in concord. It maybe a drive, but the customer service is worth the drive. Do not trust these guys with your car! 6/27/2007

I brought my car to the best guys to get my windows tinted on my van and have had nothing but problems from the start. They forgot to write my appointment down in the book, I waited two hours for my one-hour job and it was a rushed unprofessional job at best. Not to mention the footprints on the seats and the greasy palm prints all over the paint. My windows also had etching in several spots from the razor. The next day the tint on every window was peeling and bubbling up. Took the car back for a ?free warranty touch up? The car looked worse than it did before. Made a third trip back to talk with the owner Dave and this time the shop did replace the tint, but still did a horrible job. And I had another 2 hour wait Once again the car was given back to me trashed, worse than either time before! My cloth seats were soaked with water and stained. I reported this to the shop manager and he did nothing except give me attitude. Don?t waste your time or money with these amateur rip off artists! I would defiantly not recommend.
