Worst

I went to the WHG for several yrs. Had 2 children with them. During pregnancy, they were great. When I am not pregnant, I feel very unimportant. My issues are an inconvenience...

disappointed 5/10/2011

I wish there was a way to review the nurses attached to the doctors, but this is all I could find. Dr. Welch's nurse is incomprehensibly cold and repeatedly made me feel like I was nothing more than an inconvenience. I saw Dr. Welch through one entire pregnancy and the first 5 weeks of another, upon which I could never subject myself to seeing her again due to her nurse. I never got one ounce of understanding out of her and everything I asked for was like pulling teeth. The beginning stages of my pregnancy were a little dicey and each and every time I left the office or got off the phone with her I was in tears. Also, each time throughout the pregnancy I was made to feel like I was bothering her if I had concerns to phone in. I am an educated woman who knows her rights and there is no way I would ever go back, nor would I recommend anyone having to deal with the emotional anguish. Pregnancy should be happy!\r \r Does she do her job? Yes. She weighs you and coldly asks you questions. She more

The Womens Health Group 2/7/2011

I have heard nothing if not great reviews for the Women's Health Group in Manhattan, KS. Unfortunately every single experience I have had with the Staff and Doctors have left me near or in tears. This practice does not give one the sense of security and well-being I have known at prior OB-GYN offices. Appointments are nearly impossible to get; with waits upwards 3-4 months minimum. Assistance is not forthcoming thru the staff or the nurses and every phone call has been abysmally short in customer support or caring. Having been assured medications would be filled, I found myself going back to prior OBGYNs to assist me when nurses refused to discuss refills as directed by the doctor. No explaination of processes is provided and responses to questions have been crass if not, down right rude. I am unhappy to say that this is not an office I would recommend to anyone hoping to have a good Doctor/Staff/Patient relationship. If you are the get in and get out type and don't mind waiting months more

Rude & unkind 2/6/2011

I found the office staff to be rude and uncaring . The staff seems to only be there to get a paycheck not help others in need. more

Caveat emptor 12/13/2010

This doctor had me waiting for hours on end to see her, was very unprofessional to me and my family members, and forced invasive procedures on me while I was clearly and LOUDLY stating that I did not consent. Her treatment of me sent me into PTSD hell, of which I have not fully recovered even 5 years later. I would NOT recommend this doctor to even my worst enemy. Perhaps she is a good OB if you are the "perfect" maternal age and at the "perfect" weight. Neither of which I was while under her care. Caveat emptor. more

U 2 CAN BE BANNED 4 LIFE 12/9/2010

The Women's Health Group is the McDonald's of fast food joints, EXCEPT McDonald's has EXCELLENT customer service and decent food with me not being the biggest fan of McDonald's but I would eat there than to ever go back to TWHG!!! I have lived in Manhattan, Kansas all my life and enjoyed the days where a woman could see an OBGYN without it being a collective. It is hard enough to be a working woman, mother, caregiver to parents, single parent as well. The Women's Health Group do not give a hoot about you, all they see is dollar signs!!! Most of the doctors I liked (not saying all of them) but the office is attrocious in their supposed "professional conduct", how sad is that? The women of Manhattan should have more of a choice than to have to see only their group, it is not fair to the other professional businesses that do actually have "excellent service". Here's how you can be banned from their practice altogether, get sent to collections only TWICE and you too can be BANNED FOR LIFE. more

Please, I am more than happy to drive to another town to get my abnormal pap smears taken care of instead of being treated like a number!!! They refused to further treat my daughter's pregnancy when she was six months along and told her she had to get an abortion due to abnormal CT's done by their office. My grandson is now 6 yrs old, healthy and at the top of his class. I have more stories about this place, These people make me sick!!! more

Dr. Welch is great! 11/4/2010

I went to the Womens Health Group after finding out I was pregnant, and I chose Dr. Welch. I did not know her and this was my first pregnancy so I was very apprehensive, but she was wonderful. She was very professional, she took time to answer all my questions. She took time to listen to me and my concerns. They were very quick at getting back to me if I ever called them, and if I needed to make an appointment, they almost always fit me in that same day. I never saw any other doctor there, so I cant speak for them, but Dr Welch was wonderful and I would recommend her to anyone! more

Mrs. 7/22/2010

After reading the previous comments, I was apprehensive about attending my appointment with Dr. Bennett. But, after attending my appointment, I found the office staff to be very polite. They let me know it would be awhile because of the doctor being called out earlier. I only had to wait 30 minutes, which isn't long for doctors in the city. I found Dr. Bennett very knowledgible and she took her time and explained everything to me. She asked if I had questions, and she gave me good answers. She is very to the point, but yet friendly. She seemed like a very caring doctor. The facility was very nice and clean. I would highly recommend Dr. Bennett and her staff to others. more

Disappointing 7/17/2010

When I thought I might be pregnant, I started looking for a doctor and many people referred me to The Women?s Health Group. I had four visits and everyone was very friendly and helpful with any and all question I had. After four months, I started feeling funny and this being my first pregnancy, I started to get a little concerned so I called the office. It was not during business hours so they took my information and told me that the on call doctor would call me back and he did. He asked me when my next appointment was and I told him Monday morning. His advice was to just take it easy for the next two day and hope that everything was ok when I came in on Monday. Later that night, I started to bleed excessively so I went to the emergency room and come to find out I was having a miscarriage. The ER doctors later told me that the cause of the miscarriage was because I was RH +. I was extremely angry with TWHG after these findings because this is something that they could tell from more

I really like Dr Gros....I hear these negative comments and I have never felt rushed/insulted/or any of the bad reports.\r I was dealing with a prolapsed bladder and he came up with a non surgerical solution which has worked very well for the time being... I appreciate all the staff more

Good...Depending 2/25/2010

I went to the WHG for several yrs. Had 2 children with them. During pregnancy, they were great. When I am not pregnant, I feel very unimportant. My issues are an inconvenience, it takes 6 months to get an appointment. I had an appt cancelled by them without notificaiton. I am not planning on any more babies, so I took my obgyn business to my family dr and receive much better service there. more

No to Roles, Yes to Priddle 8/31/2009

I really didn't like Dr. Roles--she was condescending and impatient. So, I switched and have been very, very happy with Dr. Priddle. Dr. Priddle is fantastic. He always explains everything, addresses every concern that I've had. My only concern is that they don't offer VBAC, but that has become, most unfortunately, standard in mainstream OB practices. more

I really liked Dr Roles!!! 8/11/2009

I went there a couple of times for annual checkups and was very pleased with it. relaxing and comfortable waiting area. Friendly staff and everything was very clean... and that was in the evening. My appointments had both been in the evening around 7pm. Even with it being very late and closing time nearing, Dr Roles took her time to explain and discuss my problems and concerns. I can only recommend it!!!!! more

Dr Catterson is awesome! 7/28/2009

I've been seeing Dr Catterson for about 5 years now. I think she is a very professional OBGYN. During the 5 yrs I've been seeing her we have had 2 miscarriages and a 2 yr old. During both of the miscarriages I was treated with the up most respect and dignity. I would like to thank Dr Priddle and Dr Catterson for understanding the way I was feeling while being recently hospitalized during the loss of our second baby which also resulted in an unexpected hysterectomy at the age of 25. Dr Priddle was very understanding and let me know that what I was feeling is no less of what he would have been feeling if he were in the same situation. Dr Catterson held my hand and was there explaining everything step by step to me. I would definitely recommend Dr Catterson and Dr Priddle! There are so many thank you's in order here one to Kelli Dr Catterson's nurse, she is one of a kind!! She is always very friendly and is there no matter what you need. Also a big thank you to Jennifer (the sono t more

I loved Dr. Roles! 2/6/2009

I had a great experience with The WHG. Dr. Roles is a awesome Doctor. She is a busy doctor, but she took time to answer my questions when I had them. Her nurse is great too! Now that I'm pregnant again I'm going back to her. I just wish she could follow me down to Alabama when I move there in 3 months. I WOULD recommend Dr. Roles and the WHG. more

Great Dr's 1/5/2009

I had gone to Women's Health Group for a few years and was always very satisfied with whomever I saw. They took care of me for my first pregnancy and I wish I still lived close enough to go back for the second! more

Dr. Bennett is GREAT!!! 12/18/2008

When I moved to Manhattan I wasn't sure which Dr. to choose for my OB care. Someone recommended Dr. Bennett to me and I'm so glad they did. Dr. Bennett was there for me every step of the way and didn't even complain when I called her in the middle of the night about my Braxton Hicks. I felt like an idiot, but she just laughed and informed me we weren't ready for this baby just yet. When my baby did come it was amazing to have her bring him into this world. I'm glad she was there to share that special moment with me!! more

Women's Health Group is World Class 12/18/2008

I'm so glad I decided to schedule an appointment at the Women's Health Group! I was nervous to go in for my first annual but the front desk assured me everything would be allright. The nurses were informative and put me at ease. The doctors were up-to-date and made me feel comfortable explaining every procedure to me and what to expect. When I got pregnant with my first child I knew exactly what office I was going to share this exciting event with and I'm so glad I did. The receptioists oohed and ahhed over my little one and the doctor insisted I call when I went into labor so they could be there for my delivery. I hope I never have to find another doctor's office since no one even compares. more

Great Experiences. 11/11/2008

I'm on baby #3, all cared for at WHG.\r \r I've been under the care of Dr. Catterson the whole time, and I admit, I was slightly skeptical after my very first visit with her, but my fears were soon put to ease.\r \r My other doctors (our pediatrician, GCP for example) Have all asked who my GYN is and when they find out, they too give her glowing reviews.\r \r Kelly, her nurse is great.\r \r I think the only time I've only ever been disappointed is with Diane. She has thrown and attitude with me on a couple of occasions (During my first pregnancy, where ya know, everything scares you). But that's easily solved. I just schedule my appointments accordingly so I have little to no contact with her.\r \r I've had some experience with Gros/Priddle. Both positive.\r \r MY only real thing is I think it would be kind of nice if they rotated you with some of the doctors a little bit. Since you do get the dr on call when you go into labor For me it was a shock to see Dr. Gros walk in, and not Dr. catter more

Wonderful Experience!! 10/11/2008

I delivered my daughter 8 months ago and saw Dr Priddle for my OB/GYN care. Before getting pregnant, I went through 3 years of infertility with one miscarriage. My experience at TWHG was nothing but professional and caring. All of the staff (nurses, lab group, receptionists) were very empathetic to our situation. I think it is sad that the only people who want to write reviews for this group of doctors are those who have had negative experiences. Yes, I agree that this office is extremely busy and could definitely benefit from another doc or two. However, I know that they have 6 doctors plus a nurse practitioner; so, if you didn't "bond" with the provider that you saw, there are others to choose from. I hope those of you that are looking for an OB/GYN doctor will disregard these negative comments and will give TWHG a chance so that you can make up your own mind. more
