I must say, it is a treat when my family and I go to Bengal tiger for our family dinners. They have been very caring the service has always been excellent. However our recent trip...

You should try it 5/29/2006

Definitely a place for the flavor-shy. During lunch hours you can order Indian Buffet, where you will have the best of the best dishes. Dab a little bit of everything on your plate. You'll be pleasantly rewarded. Pros: fresh Cons: parking sometimes more

best out of all 5/24/2006

I have tried all indian resturants in this list and I dont think anyone can come close to Bengal Tiger, Seattle. They have the best food. Pros: Inexpensive, Good Parking, Crowded more

I love this place 11/26/2005

I eat here about 2-3 times a week and can't get enought of it. Everything that Chef Muhammed makes is awesome. I don't even need to order; simply walk in and tell him to make me something and it's always great. Theres a taste for everyone who enters. The service is the best I've experience in town. Everyone must try. more

We're lucky to have this restaurant in Seattle 10/29/2005

After eating at Bengal Tiger for years, I'm finally writing a review. In my opinion, BT is the best Indian restaurant in Seattle, hands down. It is owned by a genuine chef with great experience, who is always experimenting to make the dishes better. The ingredients seem always to be top quality. One can choose from a very large number of different, interesting dishes. In other words, this is a destination restaurant, not a typical neighborhood one, and definitely not a one-note one. The only downside to BT is that the food is so good that you will be tempted to eat too much of it. I am always impressed with the number of long-time devotes of Chef Mohammed who keep coming back. Once you've tasted excellent Indian food with genuinely complex flavors, you won't be able to go back to where you've been eating before. Pros: Excellent food, Genuine chef more

The Best 10/26/2005

This has become my favorite restaurant ever. The food is killer, and the owner, Mohammed, has to be the nicest man walking this earth! So, back to the food....the sauces are perfect. Absolutely perfect. I have gone to other Indian restaurants in search of something better, and I have yet to find it. You must go, you must try....you must!! You must!! more

Yummy and pleasant 10/5/2005

Bengal Tiger is probably the Indian restaurant I most visit in Seattle. The food is great, and there is a lot of selection (many dishes that I haven't see elsewhere). Also, you usually get served a free bowl of soup right when you get there! The ambiance is also nice. It is usually quiet. The service is also good. I would highly recommend Bengal Tiger if you are in the area and are craving Indian food. Pros: Selection, Food, Ambiance more

Great Indian-and close to UW! 1/8/2005

I love Bengal Tiger, for both their atmosphere, and their food! They have GREAT samosas, delicious vegetables Korma, and excellent Naan. I always go when I'm in U-District! Pros: Food is GREAT, Atmosphere, Vegetables Korma! Cons: , none, none more

Indian food you must try! 8/6/2004

Since finding this place, I have been back monthly. I have never been disappointed. These dishes are so good that I often order only the vegetarian dishes and never miss meat. My favorite is the Garlic Zucchini! Don't mistake me though. The meat dishes are also meltingly delicious. Try the Mango Chicken. Go! You have not had great Seattle Indian food until you do. more

Smashing sauces 1/25/2004

What we have here is one of the best Indian restuarants in Seattle, and I've tasted nearly all of them. The hallmark is their sauces, which are so flavorful that we leave the plate squeaking clean. Try the lamb mango wala, what a spectacular brown sauce! The byrani is a little moist for my taste, and not as richly flavored as I would like, a quibble. The chicken meat was very cleanly prepared, always a good sign of a thoughtful kitchen. A nice light touch with the pecora. First rate all around, every dish so far was special. Pros: sauces, meats, everything else Cons: it's not next door, to me! more

Great Indian Food - Nice atmosphere 7/18/2003

There are many good Indian restaurants in Seattle - but Bengal Tiger stands near the top because they are consistent, and they have excellent service. Every dish I've tried there is good. The atmosphere is a little bit sterile, but it's nice. more

Excellent Indian 9/26/2002

There are tons of Indian places out there. This is one of the better ones. The curries are excellent. Nans and samosas also. more

Best Indian Food!! 9/3/2002

Search No More... 8/10/2002

My girlfriend and I have been dining at Bengal Tiger for a while. The food is absolutely amazing! Our list of favorite dishes grows with every visit. Unsure of what to try? Owner Muhammad will gladly suggest one of his tasty specialties. We suggest the mango wala...words cannot begin to describe it! Trust me, Bengal Tiger is a restaurant you don't want to pass by. more

The Best! 8/7/2002

I was so impressed with the food at the Bengal Tiger, my roommates and I brought all of our friends and guests from out of town to eat there. I recommend this place to anyone looking for some great Indian food and awesome service! Out of all the entrees I've had, I would say that any of the lamb dishes and an order of potato or their paneer nan is the way to go! more

Best Indian Food 7/29/2002

I have tried nearly all of the Indian restaurants in Seattle and Bengal Tiger is easily the best one out there. The food is outstanding and the service is second to none. Give them a try. You won't be disappointed. Pros: Best Indian Food more

Oh. My. G-d! 7/24/2002

The food is unreal. The service isn't the best.... but the food. Oooh! You simply MUST try this place - it's the best in Seattle, and beats everything in the neighbour city... Vancouver BC. Pros: Good food Cons: Expensive, Bad parking more

Best Food on the Planet 6/27/2002

I'm an Indian cook, I've been to India, and I've tried most of the indian joints in Seattle. This place is far and away the best. Udin would be a great chef in India. He has some kind of magic in him. The simplest dish is can be fully appreciated and the more complex flavors will cause you to make those sounds (""uhnh, ooooh that's gooood, uhnh"" like Meg Ryan). Some do good curries, some make good bread, some are good with meat, Bengal Tiger wins on all counts. Pros: Great food, good value, friendly service more
