That's what I call being invoiced $274.00 for a $10-$20. part. That's in addition to the $174.00 labor. When asked for an explanation they told me "....we can charge anything we want." Use them, bend over. more

We have been a member of Bell Brothers' "club" for a couple of years that provides for checks and maintenance of A/C and heat, as well as a discount on parts and repairs. And, perhaps more importantly, priority service calls. Have never had any issues with them finding out and resolving a problem - increasing since the brand used by the builder 13 years ago is reaching the end of its life expectancy. Their staff is personable on the phone and in person, giving plenty of updates about expected arrival and scheduling. more

Matt Henshaw was scheduled to come out to do the winter tune-up. He was very complete and efficient. Checked to make sure we had enough filters, found we didn't and he ordered them for us. He was very personable and customer oriented for a young person. We were happy to have him as our technician. more

On 9/4, Gene H., Field Supervisor came to my 89 year old mother's house to resolve a rattling filter. He found a piece of dryer cloth lodged in the chase, causing the blower to be unbalanced and rattle. Gene spotted the problem and fixed it efficiently. Then Gene asked my mom if there was anything else she needed. She stated that she needed the vacuuming done. Gene replied he would, and then vacuumed mom's home quickly. My mom has a medical condition that keeps her from vacuuming as much as she would like. She does not own a computer or have access to the internet, so I offered to respond on her behalf. From start to finish the Bell Brothers team did an excellent job! They were very professional and showed they are masters of their craft. Starting with Bob Palmer their salesperson who really understood our situation and needs and delivered on all of his promises, to Gary, Brian and Drew, their technicians who did a fantastic job in installing our new A/C and heating unit along with all of the new ducting and lots of impressive sheet metal work. My wife and I were truly impressed with their work, especially with Gary's sheet metal work, which was truly a work of art! Our old unit was barely putting out any air or heat and the old ducting was falling apart. There were lots of other issues that came to light that the previous company did wrong in installing our old system or wasn't up to code. The Bell Brothers team fixed all of those issues and more by truly customizing a system that works great! Throughout the entire process all of the Bell Brothers team were very friendly and helpful in explaining what they were doing and the issues that they needed to fix and why. My wife and I could tell all of their team really cared about us and putting in a great system that we would really be happy with and meet all of our needs for the next twenty or more years. We couldn't be more pleased with our new A/C and heating system and Bell Brothers work and would highly recommend them to anyone who is considering getting a new A/C and heating unit. more

As expected from Bell Bros., Marc was very courteous and professional. He was very thorough in his inspection and gave us a detailed report on the status of our AC unit. Even though it is old Marc did not try to up sell as the system is working reasonably well. Ian repaired our Trane HVAC on Wednesday and Friday of this past week. He was extremely professional and very thorough in his work. He ran into issues with a replacement part that didn't work and he was tenacious in his efforts to contact the Trane Tech center to confirm the work he had done and then traveled to their warehouse to pick up a "second" replacement for our part that was defective. All of this was done in the heat of the day! He was analytical as he worked through the problem, extremely calm during the process and took the time to carefully explain what he was doing. Greg arrived on time and did an excellent job! He was friendly, clean and professional. He assured me my HVAC unit is okay, but did alert me to some holes in my roof (viewable only from the attic), which I would never have known about if he hadn't mentioned it. In addition to valuing the work Bell Brothers provides twice a year on the maintenance program, this was also a very useful heads up for a potential home repair issue....discovered BEFORE the ceiling damage occurs! Everything went perfect! From the precise sales presentation from Doug, to the expertise and teamwork of everyone on the install job. Usually the "big guys" get the reputation of lacking in personal attention…not so Bell Bros! Josh, the technical "leader", led the team…and all seemed to not only focus on the job, but they all were having "fun" while doing it. Carlos, "the crawler" was out of site as the duct man…don't know how he survived! Seemed like Nick was everywhere engaged in every aspect. Amon was thorough and explained the install process concisely! Adam worked with us carefully to be sure the "finish" was without flaw! Much less stress than anticipated!
