Daughter moving from Pittsburgh. Asked me to meet Ed to walk through rental home. Drove from Pickerington to Grove City to find:\r \r 1) Address from Beacon website was wrong, in fact, not even close.\r \r 2) After waiting for Ed to arrive, we were told there were no keys to let us in to see rental home.\r \r I wasted both time and money attempting to give these morons business. Do YOU think they will respond to any service problems you contact them about once you are locked into a lease? I think the rash of service problem complaints on this site provides the answer.\r \r STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS more

I would never rent from Beacon they took over a property I was renting and everything went down hill. They do not fix anything. They took over managing the property in Feb of 2011 I gave them a maintenance list of things wrong in the house in March some got fixed month's later I moved when my lease was up in Dec. I still have more than half a list that they never fixed. When I moved out they sent me a repair list and a bill. They never even inspected the house after they took over how do they know what to charge me for. Criminals, unethical, unprofessional, never rent from them, you will be miserable. more

For lack of time to really sit down and write this review. Please understand and believe all of the reviews thus far. These people are inconsiderate of people's time and money, and do not do what they say they will do. They do not return phone calls and worst of all, they lie. They flat out lie. In addition, they keep your money They made me pay money to get into this place that they assured me was ready to move in immediately, then they told me i had to wait a month. Its been over two months now and the place is still not ready. What a waste of time. I'm surprised they are still in business. Just horrible. This company has recently taken over as Property Management for the house where I live and the first time I attempted to contact them I was told to call back in three days as there was nobody in the office who could help me. In my opinion this is not the best way to handle new properties or new tenants. more

I wish I had checked the comments before sigining up with Beacon. I wasted 5 months with this company. They didn't return calls and provided no follow-through when we discussed actions they were to provide. The people where were working with me left the company and I was never notified - I only found out because I caIled to see if they had completed some work we agreed to. I had to call them constantly to get progress reports and they never rented my apartment (and there was never any progress). It was a disaster and my apartment was never rented.. Pros: The new staff seemed to be better Cons: No follow through; not pro-active in getting renters; don't seem to have had experience in renting property, if so didn't use it aggressively. more

I have the same problem with Beacon Property Mgt. They didn't return phone calls or emails. They did not provide advertising material when requested. I haven't checked in the repair bill that they sent yet. It sounds expensive to me. Property been vacants for >4months. Overall, I donot have good experience with them so far. Do you know any good property managment company in Columbus to recommend? more

If you are a property owner and are looking for a property management company stay away from Beacon!!!!! I have had several issues where the leasing consultant does not return voice mails or e-mails. I am not a ""high-maintenance"" owner that requires a lot of attention but they simply do not communicate. In addition, we recently had repair work done on the property and the material charges (which they could not provide receipts for) were inflated by 300% above what the retail rate is for the supplies. I have yet to resolve my dispute with Beacon but once my contract is up with them, I will surely go to a property management company that actually cares about the condition and the tenants that are in the rental properties. more
