HORRIBLE 2/26/2013

I hate this place. I would not even give it a star but it is required by the website to give at least one. I will never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever go back to a Banfield again. My dog hates going there as well and that says a lot considering he loves everyone but them. The END! more

Great Visit :) 7/19/2011

I never go out of my way to write a review but I felt it was necessary this time because the Veteriniarian that attended my pet was the biggest sweetheart I had ever met. When she came in the room she took her time to get to know my pet. My pup is very small and timid so I was worried that she would give the vet and vet assistant a hard time however the Veterinarian ( DVM Dechant) went out of her way and sat on the floor with her which made the visit easier for my pet in my opinion. She sat with her and talked to her and treated her very kindly. She seemed very interested in her health which many of the past vets have never done or showed. The past veterinarians I have encountered usually seem rushed and do what we came for and that's that. but not Dr. Dechant, she cares and asks questions and you can really tell she loves her job and the animals she interacts with :) more

Banfield The Pet Hospital?? - Stafford is a scam 12/11/2009

The majority of the front and back office staff have been rude and act as if I am bothering them by bringing my pet there. They consistantly try to overcharge, even when I have purchased the puppy plan. For example when my pet went in for a neuter, they charged me for pre-surgical blood work even when it states that this is covered in the puppy plan. The rep from the puppy plan ended up refunding my money but stated that even after she called them, they refused to follow the written contract. When I showed up to pick up my pet after the last visit, I explained to the girl at the front desk that the tech who called me that day was rude and that I had come there by choice not by force and I could easily find another vet if this is how they wanted to treat paying customers....she said, "OK, that's your choice. How will you be paying today?" I guess they are so used to this type of complaint that they don't even try to fix the problem. When I called to cancell my puppy plan the rep more

Banfield The Pet Hospital in Stafford is great! 11/24/2009

I have had great care at the Stafford Banfield hospital. My cat was very sick in August and is now in excellent condition. I have signed up for the wellness program and so far so good. The vet from Czech is very nice and spends time examining your pet thoroughly and answers all questions. When you have an appointment, you are in and out promptly, unlike most other vets. I am happy with the service i have received so far. more

THEY DONT DESERVE TO BE CALLED PROFESSIONALS! 7/27/2009

I agree with all of the previous reviews, I did not feel like they respected my me or my pet at all. When I checked my sick kitty at the desk I noticed he had soiled the towel at the bottom of the box, I made the women that worked there aware of it and asked her to please throw away towel. I even wrote it down on the paper I signed to please throw away soiled towel.......after a long ans stressful day at the vet my poor cat was placed back in the box right on top of his own feces because they failed to throw it away. That is a disgrace!!! Then, I specifically asked them to call me after every test so I had the decision whether or not to continue looking for the problem in my cat, they ended up running every test before they even called me and it pretty much cost me a mortgage payment! Horrible vet visit and to top things off he has not been able to walk straight since he came home a WEEK ago!!! DO NOT TAKE YOUR LOVED ANIMAL TO THIS PLACE!!! more

It is the same every single time!! 2/20/2009

I completely agree with the other two reviews, We have had two pets in the banifield program, the banfield's in Virginia Beach are wonderful!! But the one here is HORRIBLE!! We have a German Shepard puppy, she was fixed there and they charged us an arm and a leg, and in the beginning they made us feel as though we pay nothing. Then I thought she was having a reaction to the rabies shot, which I read on-line was very common with the breed of dog, well they actually called us to check on her, and when I told them what was happening they told me to bring her right in. When I got there, about 10 mins later, they said there were no appts available! They acted as though I was over reacting!!! The desk manager has absolutely no common sense and no customer service. I have called corporate twice, and both vets know there are issues, and nothing has been done. She knows who we are, and treats us horrible every time. NOO!! and for my other cats, they were very rude and abrupt, so glad I never signed up for anything, taking my cats to a real vet from now on. more

Anywhere but here! 4/25/2007

I took my chihuahua to Banfield for a year and I have been unsatisfied with their service and attitudes on every single occasion that I took my chi there. Unfortunately, I felt pressured into signing a one year agreement with them to save money on their over-priced services and had no choice but to continue with them for a year. First of all, they are completely unfriendly. Second, they don't know what they are doing. They over vaccinated my dog - the poor thing was so tired but was in so much pain that she couldn't lay down. Then following that occasion, she nipped at the vet when they were giving her another round of vaccines (new puppy vaccinations) and wrote in her medical record that she was an "aggressive dog." I would bite you too if you were poking me with needles and I didn't have the ability to talk! I understand that they wanted to muzzle her during the vaccines but to write something untrue in her medical record is an entirely different matter. Since my agreement/co more
