Underarm wax 8/6/2011

My student, T, was very competent and had a confident air about her. She respected my inward energy and did not try to make small talk. My wax was as comfortable as possible for such a service. The choice of essential oils was relaxing. Because of the products and after wax soothing oil, I did not get as many bumps or irritaions on my sensitive skin. more

professional and friendly atmosphere 8/3/2011

I recieved my first pedicure ever at Aveda. After making an appointment elsewhere, arriving and waiting I was informed that they could not keep my appointment. I was upset, passed by Aveda, popped in and was amazed at how eager they were to accomodate me. The young lady, Rachel, was excellant and I will definately make Aveda my one and only establishment for services. more

Pedicure and a Hair Cut 7/31/2011

While the pedicure was wonderful, as usual, the conversation was better and friendlier than expected! Then came the hair cut and style... while I am happy with the results, the time it took to wash, trim and style my hair was outrageous! My appointment for the pedi started at 9:20AM. I was done and awaiting a hair cut by 10:30, easily. She called my name by 10:35 and I wasn't out the door until near 1 PM! My hair is straight as a nail, fine, and extremely easy to deal with and I only wanted a little body added to it as my "styling." She was so slow! Lucky I didn't have anything to do for a couple of hours, but she ate into my day way more than I wanted or expected! Next time, I'm going somewhere else for my hair. more

Pedicure 7/23/2011

The products and foot massage were nice, however the student did almost nothing to remove the calluses. Also, I arrived about 15 minutes after my appointment time, then had to wait another 15 minutes to be seen, received a 30 minute pedicure and still paid for an hour service. I accept the 15 minutes that I put the staff behind time, but I do not see why I was charged for the additional 15 minutes I waited for service. Probably won't be returning. more

Took too long 7/9/2011

I recently went to Aveda Institute for a hair cut and I was there for about 2 hours, which is way too long. The student who cut my hair called me in late, and took forever to do every little thing (it was just a simple hair cut). When she was finally done, the check-out line was long with only one person working it and so it took awhile to pay. more
