Worse car buying experience I had. \r Bought a 2010 nissan pathfinder from this dealership. They managed to screw every possible thing. \r When we were filing up paper work, I pointed to them that the car has less mileage than what they put for motor vehicle. We ended up fixing all paper work. Then when I got the title, as I was expecting they messed it up and I got the title with 7K more miles than the car actually had on. \r They did not wash the car, promised me twice that when I come back they will wash it, they did not. \r I had to wait hours for no reason, when I asked them can I live, they said ohh yes. It just that the sales person “Forgot” to tell me. \r Did not get $25 towards gas. \r Called twice complained, they told me that they will fix and make it up to me, but its has been a month and I am still waiting. Don’t buy from them; they are very sloppy poorly managed car dealership. I have never seen anything like this. \r Leo\r more

I never write reviews, so this must say something. Very long story short, we had been looking to buy a car for a few weeks. We would get to the dealerships and the car we saw online, ended up being in bad shape or the salesmen were high pressure. We live nearly 70 miles away from Hackensack Nissan but we saw a Nissan we really liked. I called the dealer and spoke to Tony D. I filled him in on my previous experience and he said ""I will go outside and take photos of the car for you, and send them to you"". He did just that. He pointed out the couple flaws the car had and did NOT pressure me to come up and look at it; he was being an honest person (hard to find nowadays) . Needless to say, I still wanted to see it. When we arrived, we met with Ken. Once again, he allowed me time to look the car over, without hovering over me and making me feel pressured. The car was a certified pre-owned, which was a big deal to me. That was it, I wanted it. Within an hour, I had the keys to our beautiful car, with NO PRESSURE and top notch customer service. I have owned over 10 cars and this was the best experience I've ever had. There were a couple very minor issues after the purchase. When I contacted Tony and Ken about it, not only did they take care of it right away, but they apologized and made it right tenfold. (We are talking about me being picky, nothing they did wrong at all!). I couldn't ask for better experience buying a car. If they moved their dealership another 70 miles away from my house, I would still drive up there and work with Ken and Tony all over again. Thanks guys!!! Sam James more

""THIS is the way car buying should be""! I'd like to say that I am no different than most of the population when it comes to car buying so needless to say, I was very hesitant to walk into yet another dealership.To my surprise and delight Hackensack Nissan made my new car purchase so pleasurable and easy that I had to tell the world. Alex Edouard, our salesman and Shaliek Hicks , the internet sales rep were on the top of their game in relieving my nerves and keeping a smile on my face the entire time I was there. Alex is a STAR and the exact opposite of the stereotypical car salesman. Pleasant, friendly and down-to-earth, he explained everything in layman's terms and talked to me, not at me. Shaliek was one of the nicest people i've ever met. Shaliek was actually the first person we dealt with before even stepping foot into the dealership. His professionalism and great attitude was what brought us to actually walking in the door. This team is OUTSTANDING!! I am normally not one to write reviews and actually this is my first Google review ever but I just had to say something about this place. I have already recommended this place to a few friends and family members. If you are looking for a place that will treat you like a person and not try to grease you with all the slick sales pitches, Hackensack Nissan is the place to go! more

Thank You For Making it Easy 5/28/2012

My daughter and I recently bought a car from Hackensack Nissan. We were a little nervous being two women knowing nothing about cars going to a dealership by ourselves; however, the minute we walked in the door we were made to feel comfortable. Our sales person was Phil. He was awesome and put no pressure on us to make a purchase or hurry up. He made us feel very comfortable and was very patient as we drove car after car. Once we decided to buy a car they sent us to JR who got us an incredible interest rate. When we went to pick the car up Phil was so helpful he showed my daughter exactly what the car did and told us all about all the different gadgets. They got the car completely ready for us and we left with all our questions answered. I couldn't ask for a better experience at a dealership. Maria Isabella more

Overall Excellent Experience 5/21/2012

The reason why I rated Hackensack Nissan so highly, was because of my overall experience. I contacted them via Email, and they promptly answered all my questions and concerns. When I decided to purchase through them, they greeted me politely and began to help me through the purchase process. They weren't pushy at all, and I felt like I wasn't obligate to anything I didn't want. They understood my vehicle needs, and catered to help me find the best possible vehicle in stock. I left feeling happy that I found a car I liked, and if I'm in the market for another vehicle, I would gladly go back to Hackensack Nissan. more

I don't know where to begin, let me start by saying that I spent 4 days competitively shopping for a new car, I was on fixed budget and looking for a couple of specific things, I reviewed MSRP, Factory Rebates, Inventory Levels in New Jersey, etc. I visited 6 dealerships in person and communicated via email and phone with another 10 or so in Northern New Jersey. After spending the majority of the week dealing with car dealers, I was EXHAUSTED. I wanted to take advantage of some of Nissan's great rebates available, but was also determined to get a good price and value for my money. It's not often that I buy a new car and I wanted to make a good decision. I was very disappointed with the service I received many places, blatant lies being told, time wasted, inconsistencies, I was very disillusioned and decided that the car salesman stereotypes were absolutely accurate. I was contacted by Tony D of Hackensack Nissan on Monday May 7th, I had heard every story, upsell, blatant lie over the weekend that I was almost shocked when the voice on the other line seemed very sincere, straight forward, to the point. When I said ""This is what I NEED and this is what I want"" he listened, didn't try to push me into a car I didn't want, but tried to find what I was looking for. That's beyond rare. I had become skeptical in past couple of days and decided if I couldn't get the car I wanted and could afford that I would buy from the dealership that I felt had shown me the most courtesy, respect, and least amount of condescension. Tony and I had a brief conversation, but it was to the point, so I agreed to meet him the next day at Hackensack Nissan. I didn't have high expectations, but I was pleasantly surprised. I met with Kenny & Lou regarding the car, its features, and general purchase, they could not have been friendlier, more sincere, just nice people. I had the same experience with Russ when reviewing the contracts and official paperwork. It was too easy, I just had my car delivered to me. It's BEAUTIFUL! They offered to bring it to me at work, Lou their Sales Director kept in constant communication with me about any details regarding the purchase, transport, etc. regarding car. I was very impressed with Hackensack Nissan, in general and compared to 80% of other dealers I encountered, I was downright amazed. I spent less time with Hackensack Nissan actually purchasing the car than with any other dealership that strictly wasted my time. I've been talking to all my friends and family about Hackensack Nissan for the last 24 hours non-stop. My mom owns a 2008 Altima, I immediately told her she needed to start getting it serviced at Hackensack. I work for a large retailer; I understand the importance of sales and service from both perspectives, the importance of being profitable and generating sales, but the need to strive for excellent service and creating loyalty among your customers. I appreciate the service I received and will show it by giving my business and referring anyone I can to Hackensack in order to promote the type of service they provide. Thanks!
