I bought a used '97 Honda Civic at Renton Honda in 2004 and was quite pleased with my experience. The sales staff was very helpful and I received a very good price for my car. I still use this car today and have had no problems with it. When I look to purchase my next vehicle I will absolutely use Renton Honda again. more

I bought a used '97 Honda Civic at Renton Honda in 2004 and was quite pleased with my experience. The sales staff was very helpful and I received a very good price for my car. I still use this car today and have had no problems with it. When I look to purchase my next vehicle I will absolutely use Renton Honda again. more

Service Department - Dishonest and Unreliable 12/2/2010

The service department at Renton Honda is HORRIBLE. They performed major service on my car for a huge $$$$ including replacing the timing belt. Less than 15,000 later the seals on the work have started to leak. When I brought it in, they said yep the seals need to be replaced... but sorry you are out of the 12,000 warranty. A repair of this type should last much longer. When I called them originally they said oh no worries timing belt is warranted for 90,000. That was just a ploy to get me into the service bay again. Once they had the car then "Oh the belt is warranted for 90,000, but not the seals themselves". I tried talking to service manager (no help) left message for Dealer Manager but he just passed me off to some underling. DO NOT USE their service department. Dishonest and Unreliable work more

Renton Honda sucks! I wasn't able to write my whole distasteful experience I had with the Renton Honda's extended warranty scam. I was lied to and told I would get my whole purchase price back ($1500) back at the end of the lease if I didn't use it. I leased our vehicle for three years with no problems. I turned in the vehicle and was then told I would have to keep the vehicle for 5 years to get the money back. WTF? Why would I purchase this "extended service warranty" for five years if I was only going to have the car for three years? Does that makes sense to you? I'm an Eagle Scout and a proud college grad and I didn't buy it because I'm a moron. I purchase it because I was told I would get it back in FULL when I returned my car. I was lied to and cheated out of my money. Don't buy or lease a car from this den of snakes. Google Renton Honda Sucks for a complete blog on my experience! more

Anyone without a lawyer present will most likely get screwed. And now they're on Facebook. Ha! Pros: I found a car I wanted ... Cons: Dealer made it seem not worth the trouble to buy it. more

RENTON HONDA TRIED TO CON US OUT OF A DOWN PAYMENT AND CAR! 11/9/2007

Internet sales told us 4 times they'd get us the price for what we wanted, we got dragged all the way up there and the guy who said he had an appointment with us wasnt even there. They claimed to be able to get people a better value for Low money. we got there, and they told us we could only get into a civic (we had great credit and could get into whatever we wanted), we decided to get the civic, he told us pay a couple thousand down right now and fill out the paperwork tomorrow, and he'd let us take the car home. we thought that was weird and didn't do it! The next day, we called asking for what we originally came for, they didnt want to give it to us. THEN when we realized he never told us our interest rate or the monthly term, we asked, and he said it was 9 PERCENT FOR 96 MONTHS!!!!! WE WOULD HAVE BEEN STUCK WITH THE CAR IF THEY TOOK OUR DOWN PAYMENT AND HAD US FILL OUT THE PAPERWORK THE NEXT DAY....YIKES!! He lied and told us the civic we were getting into would be only 17 grand, and low payments!! and never did answer questions straight forward... claimed they didn't know what the internet department was saying or the managers. the total after we would be done would be over 25 grand!!! He had the NERVE to say he told us that... SORRY WOULD HAVE REMEMBERED THAT ONE. THEY LIE STAY FAR FAR FAR AWAY!!!!!!!! VERY TRICKY!!!! Pros: None. It was WAY too good to be true, they're liars. Cons: totally dishonest. Would never do business and want to warn everyone! more

Poor customer service + Shady salesmen = Unhappy Times 4/18/2007

I had an issue immediately after my purchase that could have been resolved quickly and easily with decent customer service and fair sales people. I purchased a certified used car and a couple of days after purchasing the car I noticed imperfections in the paint; it was pretty bad the paint was chipping. It had to have been there before I purchased it because rust has started to form. I get that used cars may have issues, but this was more than I wanted to deal with. If I would have noticed it the evening I made the purchase, then I wouldn?t have bought that particular car. But I had a 72 hour guarantee, so I figured that if worse comes to worse I have 3 days to return it for an auto of equal or greater cost. When I called to voice the issue, within my 72 hour window, I was told that my salesperson was on ?vacation?. I explained the situation to the representative and she stated that he would be back on Saturday and it would best to deal directly with him and it would be ok to call him then because they have my issue on record. I called again on that Saturday and actually went in to have the car serviced with the paint protection package and found out that he had been fired. So for the last month and a half I?ve been trying to get Renton Honda to fix my paint and they?ve decided that they?re not going to do it. It?s not even the bill that?s the most frustrating it?s the fact that lies were told and that I was sent on a wild goose chase, passed from person to person and given false hope in trying to get help. It would have even been better if they would have told me a month and a half ago that they weren?t going to honor their own policy and that I was on my own. At least then I wouldn?t have wasted precious time driving out there and on the phone hoping that they were going to fix my car. Part of it had to do with my inexperience, as this is the first car that I?ve purchased; they?re completely taking advantage. I have to chalk it up to life lesson. Pros: decent prices Cons: Disregard for their own policy, shady salesmen, incompetent service representatives, unhelpful and unconcerned management more

Rip Off! 11/1/2006

I bought my car at Renton Honda and took it for service at this location all the time. Be very cautious when you have to get anything other than your oil changed. My passenger side window was having problems, so I asked them to look into it. I paid $130 for labor costs, the window wasn't broken, it just wouldn't open and close. They told me it would cost an extra $300 to fix it! Gasp! Why in the would it be so expensive? Apparently the small plastic piece that holds up the window was broken, but I would have to buy a new window to get my window fixed!! They didn't have the plastic piece on hand and couldn't order it either. I went to a Collision Autocraft place in Newcastle to see what they would charge me. I had a really great experience with them after a minor accident a few years ago. Anyhow, their window specialist told me they probably had a spare plastic piece and would only cost me $5!!!! Then there was the labor fee of $20 but what a savings from $300 plus labor at Renton Honda!! After that experience, I do not plan to go back to Renton Honda anytime ever. Pros: Customer Service, Open 7 days a week Cons: Rip Off prices and dishonest more
