I had an issue immediately after my purchase that could have been resolved quickly and easily with decent customer service and fair sales people. I purchased a certified used car and a couple of days after purchasing the car I noticed imperfections in the paint; it was pretty bad the paint was chipping. It had to have been there before I purchased it because rust has started to form. I get that used cars may have issues, but this was more than I wanted to deal with. If I would have noticed it the evening I made the purchase, then I wouldn?t have bought that particular car. But I had a 72 hour guarantee, so I figured that if worse comes to worse I have 3 days to return it for an auto of equal or greater cost. When I called to voice the issue, within my 72 hour window, I was told that my salesperson was on ?vacation?. I explained the situation to the representative and she stated that he would be back on Saturday and it would best to deal directly with him and it would be ok to call him then because they have my issue on record. I called again on that Saturday and actually went in to have the car serviced with the paint protection package and found out that he had been fired. So for the last month and a half I?ve been trying to get Renton Honda to fix my paint and they?ve decided that they?re not going to do it. It?s not even the bill that?s the most frustrating it?s the fact that lies were told and that I was sent on a wild goose chase, passed from person to person and given false hope in trying to get help. It would have even been better if they would have told me a month and a half ago that they weren?t going to honor their own policy and that I was on my own. At least then I wouldn?t have wasted precious time driving out there and on the phone hoping that they were going to fix my car. Part of it had to do with my inexperience, as this is the first car that I?ve purchased; they?re completely taking advantage. I have to chalk it up to life lesson.
Pros: decent prices
Cons: Disregard for their own policy, shady salesmen, incompetent service representatives, unhelpful and unconcerned management
