I am finishing up a year of boot camp with AABC. The first few months of camp I gained and lost the same 10 lbs over and over. It was frustrating, but I felt like I was at least improving my fitness level. Then, I had a revelation...what if I attended boot camp AND changed my eating habits??!!! DUH! I signed up for the summer slim down challenge and lost 20 lbs in TWO camp sessions!! I actually began to listen to the coaches' nutrition tips and followed the eating plan they provided. I finally took advantage of everything they had to offer and what a difference that made! It felt like working out with a personal trainer, just in a group! The coaches' were all 100% dedicated to helping me reach my goals. I decreased my mile time by 2+ minutes! This camp gave me all the tools I needed to lose the weight and actually change my lifestyle. There are two components to losing weight...exercise and nutrition...this camp can help you with both! more

I've been heavy most of my life, starting and stopping health regimens for various reasons. I've used many excuses to stop. (Pregnancy, nursing, postpartum recovery, job changes, in a rut). Started Austin Adventure Boot Camp at the end of March because a fellow mom simply asked if anyone wanted to accompany her. Figured I could do anything for 4 weeks. Those four weeks changed my life, and a lot of it is attributable to my coach and trainer, Paige Balius. Paige is the perfect balance of encouraging, enthusiastic, knowledgeable and honest. She offers us an intense, well-rounded, yet fun workout each morning that makes me feel great afterwards. She is very supportive and does not judge when I send her a food log that's too honest. The class is comprised of women at different fitness levels, and Paige makes sure no one is left behind, while simultaneously pushing each of us to do what we're capable of and more. With her encouragement and guidance, I'm in my fourth round of boot camp and have lost 15 pounds, 16.5 inches, and knocked three minutes off my mile. She not only provides us with the tools for a more healthful lifestyle, she accompanies us on the journey. Yes, I put in the work, but she's there every step of the way, cheering me on. Great Workout! 4/19/2010

I attend the Boot Camp in South Austin and it is GREAT! It is a full hour work out.... and unlike the gym and other exercise programs I have tried, it is never boring, keeps me motivated, and produces RESULTS. I have toned up, built strength and endurance in just a few weeks! I would recommend this program to anyone, of any age and fitness level. It will definitely tone you up and trim you down! Austin Adventure Boot Camp Rocks! 4/11/2010

Austin Adventure Boot Camp rocks! I am currently attending my fourth month of camp and cannot imagine my life before it. I feel like an entirely different person. When I signed up in January I did not even own a pair of sneakers and I was practically immobile. Now, I am running, jumping, and lunging with the best of them! I have lost over 25 pounds, have shaved over 30 inches from my body, and have improved my one mile run time by over four minutes. Almost every day someone will stop me to tell me how great I look and sometimes I cannot believe how much I have accomplished so quickly with this program. It really, really works. Pros: supportive, challenging, and fun! Cons: none! more

LOVE this boot camp! 3/22/2010

I LOVE Austin Adventure Boot Camp! I've been going since October 2009 and I am addicted! The results are great! The workout is so much better than anything you can get at a gym. My trainer is Paige at the NW location and she is so motivating! I look forward to seeing her at 5:30 in the morning! It's gets your day off to a great start! I feel better throughout the day and have more energy! I cancelled my gym membership and will be an Austin Adventure Boot Camper from now on! Pros: motivational and inspirational! more

Addicted to Austin Adventure Boot Camp 3/17/2010

I love this boot camp! Tim is Awesome and I couldn't have asked for a better trainer! Not only did I get into great shape, could hardly run a half mile to being able to run over 2 miles, I lost 16 pounds over two-8 week sessions. Big plus, they have an evening class, so for anyone like me that enjoys their sleep, you can take a class at 6:30 PM. I am not a great self-motivator, so this class did the trick plus more! This is one of the best decisions I have ever made and can't wait to start up again!! Pros: Fun, Motivating, Great Results, Works Wonders! Cons: None! more

Nothing special 5/20/2008

The work-outs aren't anything more than you can get at your local gym....some are actually easier, and most are less inspiring. The regularity of the work-outs is the best part, but other than that, I don't think it's worth the money. more

My life has changed 5/15/2008

This camp has changed my life. I have seen great results. I've been in the camp since Oct 2007 and I have not stopped. The trainers are great. They are so motivated to help people. They encourage and push me to always do my best to have a healthy lifestyle. My bestfriend has joined and she is loving it as well. I am so much stronger, faster and healthier. I recommend this camp to everyone!!! more

Excellent Workout! 5/26/2007

I had the best time! Getting up so early in the morning I thought would be hard but the trainer is so motivating - plain and simply put - I had fun! Well worth the money! Pros: Your own personal trainer, fun and inspiring environment. Cons: The individualized meal plan is way overpriced for what you get - not worth the expense. more

Challenging workout with LOTS of Support! 5/22/2007

ATX Bootcamp is a great way to work out. I started back in October '06 and I saw such great results I've done seven sessions so far. The trainers are awesome, they are really focused on making sure that everyone (no matter their fitness level) gets a good workout. The people at camp are a great support system and really help me keep focused on my weight loss goals. Pros: Great workout and Excellent support! Cons: Sometimes the morning class is crowded at the start of the sessions more

Austin's Boot Camp-It's addicting! 5/22/2007

I thought I was heading in a direction of no return-3 kids later and they have all lost their baby fat and here I am still carrying it. I tried working out on my own, tried taking step/aerobic classes, tried Nutrisystem and nothing was working. The last day of Spring Break I saw the commercial for Austin Adventure Boot Camp and decided to give it a try. I am now on my 3rd session, thanks to Danielle(Bee Caves) who totally encourages me, keeps me motivated and is constantly having to remind me to keep my shoulders back to improve my posture. I have to say in my first session(M-W-F x 4wks) there wasn't necessarily a change in my weight or my measurements but I lost 2.2% body fat and that made a big difference in how I felt physically and emotionally. Please do yourself a favor and come join in on the fun, I promise you feel better about yourself just after 1 full camp! This is the best workout in Austin without question. An excellent value for your money. I am a repeat morning camper and have no plans to stop. I can see and feel the results from the workouts and it's great. Pros: Highly varied workouts more

Increased strength and endurance! 5/22/2007

I am in my fourth session of ATX bootcamp and love it! I did two sessions last summerr and kept up my exercise program until the Jan. cold storms came and then became sedentary. After 4 months of being lazy I realized that summer was approaching with great speed and decided to re-enlist. I am in my fourth week of bootcamp and love the results! I am stronger than before and my timed mile is now under 9 minutes. This is a great program and while it is a little difficult to wake up at 4:30 a.m., I love the fact that my workout is done for the day. Laura is a great motivator who is very sincere and interested in bringing out the best in each individual. I intend to complete at least another two bootcamps before the end of summer! more

This is a great work out that's motivational, inspirational and it works! If your looking for a great way to get yourself out of bed and get a great work out... this is deifnately the thing to do!
