It feels amazing! 1/17/2012

I had a terrific experience with Aura laser! I am not the best candidate for laser hair removal, because both my hair and skin are dark. The professionals at Aura worked with me, and tailored a price specifically for my case. After eight times, I am hair free! It feels amazing! Best part is, the process was not painful! I highly recommend using Aura Laser! more

Very good results and worth the $$ 1/13/2012

I am very pleased with my laser hyperpigmentation as i am told is called! I have some dark spots around my mouth and on my cheeks. I went into Aura and talked with the Dr. and staff there. very professional and nice. I felt safe and well taken care of.\r \r The price for my treatment a bit higher than other places i talked to but it was worth it and I think this place is amzazing!\r \r I met with the physician first and one of the medical staff did my treamtent for my face. I saw good results right away and i am bringing my mom in who is visiting this week to have a consultation about all the sun damage from the sun and heat.\r \r We'll see what they suggest. I will review again.... So far Soo good! more

Great MedSpa. Wonderful Staff 1/10/2012

I drive all the way from North Seattle to visit Aura Laser for my IPL treatments. Upon my first visit, they not only gave me a free assessment of my skin, but they also answered all of my questions and concerns. They also went as far as giving me a spot treatment with the laser to make sure that my skin would respond well to it. If that wasn't enough, their staff took the additional time to give me a call about a week later to check on me and see if the spot treated had a good response. I now have a great relationship with a number of the staff at Aura who are each very professional and friendly. They are all more concerned with helping their clients and building a long term relationship with them than making a quick buck. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a trustworthy staff to perform their laser treatments. Give them a try. You will be happy with the outcome. more

The Worst! 12/19/2011

This place has antiquated equipment that broke down in the middle of the treatment, techs that clearly had no idea what they were doing and no parking. They smeared my body with gooey gel and never tested to see if the laser level was effective for my skin type...and for me it definitely wasn't--nothing!\r \r Having had laser hair removal procedures done at a competing spa with great results I was sadly disappointed\r \r I left a message to talk to management and no one returned my call so I requested a refund from Groupon and got one right away.\r \r Definitely woudn't go back!! more

Buyer Beware! 12/4/2011

Aura Laser Skin Care uses predatory sales methods that take advantage of the naive and vulnerable! Judging by the reviews on Yelp it also takes advantage of more experienced adults. There is an update at the bottom of this message. My daughter went to Kirkland Aura Laser Skin Care last week to take advantage of the ""free evaluation"" for removing acne scars. She already had an appointment scheduled with her dermatologist, but an acquaintance of hers told her this was a ""really good place"" so she wanted to give it a try. She went to the Kirkland office and talked with ""Jessica"" (no last names are given out for any of the employees there, not even the manager). One of the first things she was asked was ""How much money do you have?"" Before my daughter left the place, she had been talked into signing a $1,000 contract for a ""special package"" that she had to take advantage of and pay the majority of immediately. This coincidentally was the exact amount that wiped out the savings she had been carefully collecting over the past year working a minimum wage job. My daughter insisted on trying to take care of this situation by herself. She got in contact with Jessica the next business day to say she had changed her mind. Jessica said she didn't have time to see my daughter for another 4 days. (I assume reducing the ability to use the law regarding buyer's remorse.) By that time at least, my daughter had been talked into letting me come along. Jessica was very sweet, very smooth, but said ""It is just company policy that we do not refund payment for contracts once they have been signed. We would not be able to stay in business if we did refund it."" (You mean like legitimate businesses do?) She showed me the spot on the contract where is so stipulated. As I got angrier she remained calm and sweet, and had a well practiced, smooth response to everything I said. She is an experienced con-artist. Jessica had never given my daughter a copy of the agreement she signed, so I asked for one. The office ""didn't have a copy machine"" but they would make one available if I came back in 24 hours. My husband got on the phone and asked for Jessica's last name, but was told it was company policy to not give out last names. He asked the name and contact information of her manager and the owner. He was given a first name only of the manager (no contact information) just the promise that he would get a phone call from this person within 72 hours. He asked for the name of the owner. Jessica said that it was a ""silent owner"" who prefers not to be identified. I don’t know if the sales practices at Aura are within legal limits, but they are definitely way outside of ethical. I will be pursuing a report to the Better Business Bureau and whatever else needs to be done as soon as possible. Update 1/17/2012 My daughter now has seen a dermatologist now as well as a legitimate aesthetician associated with his office. The aesthetician told her that chemical peels would not be recommended treatment for her condition. Nader Issa (the owner of Aura finally reveals his name to us) has responded to our complaint with the Washington State Attorney General's office refusing to refund my daughter's deposit. It continues to be our experience that Aura Laser Skin Care is far more interested in extracting as much money as possible from my daughter than it is in providing quality (let alone competent) treatment or customer service. more

THEY'RE GREAT 12/1/2011

I purchased a Groupon for co2 resurfacing for my face and all i can say is WOW! Prior to having the co2 i was pretty nervous. I had my consult with their physician that went well. I felt at ease. I was given straight forward instructions on how to care and what to expect from my treatment. I was shown a large number of before and after photos and made an appointment to come back for the co2. I arrived they were on time very friendly medical staff prepared my skin and numbed it , i waited in a room for an hour for the numbing to take effect. the whole time waiting i had people checking on me making sure i am comfortable, offering tea and something to read. The co2 thing took only 30 to maybe 40mins. I was out the door after cooling my face with ice and the doctor put some cream on my face to stop it from stinging. After 4 days of peeling now it's unbelievable how my skin looks. I just wish i had done this before. more

I am a loyal client now 10/3/2011

I am a loyal client now I bought a groupon from this company around 8 mos ago and used it for laser hair removal. i had very quick and satisfactory results. I didn't think the laser hair removal would work because i didn't really feel any horrible pain like i had heard but it worked very well. A couple of my neighbors and i just purchased their recent groupon and i am getting my full legs treated this time. For the price it can't be beat. They are a very professional clinic, and in my opinion extremely hygienic and clean. I have never had to wait for any technician and all my treatments started on time. That says a lot for me and my hectic schedule. The technicians have always been very pleasant and helpful. On one occasion i had a head nurse come in to do a quality control check. I asked the tech how come they do this and she said it's to ensure all are treating according to the strict standards they set and keep outcome of treatments very successful. It seems like a good idea??? The waiting area is always full and people come and go from this clinic. I asked a few times from other clients how their treatment is going and all were happy too.... maybe it was bad form but it made me feel i was in the right place for my money too... Bottom line is i like Aura and feel confident about this clinic's business standards and customer more

Not worth with $ and time!!! 9/30/2011

I just finished the laser hair removal package for my legs, the hair wasn't less at all! They didn't treat the area evenly, the process wasn't hurt, but when they put the tip against to my leg, that hurt the most! I'm sure they can be more gentle. I had my laser hair removal for my underarm and arms before (w/ other company), I have never had any problems. For my experience, I didn't see any result for the treatments. I won't not visit again. Btw, the towels that they use looks dirty, look like they mix the towels between the hair salon and spa. (they have hair service) more

The ultimate skin spa 9/28/2011

I was very impressed with my experience at Aura Laser Skin Care. I had been considering laser hair removal for quite some time, but the cost was prohibitive at other Seattle eastside area medical spas. I heard of Aura Laser Skin Care from a friend of mine and decided to try them. At the day of the consult, everyone at the spa was very friendly and professional, and all of my questions/concerns were addressed and I left happy. They instructed me to shave the treatment area and on my treatment day they spread some gel on my skin prior to applying the laser. The laser was hardly uncomfortable and felt as if someone is snapping a rubber band against my skin. It was made very clear to me that if 6 sessions didn't take care of the hair, the center would take care of me with extremely reduced session costs. The aftercare instructions were specific about what to expect, what is not normal and what to do if you had a reaction. Their doctor was also available in case of an emergency. All in all, I am a happy customer. more

Great Microderms!!! 6/30/2011

I've been doing microderms for the past 7 years (I am 45). Recently I purchased their $49 deal on Living Social. Not only I enjoyed the treatment and their esthetician more

Great Spa. Great Staff. Great Price. 4/9/2011

I came to Aura Laser Skin Care for my laser hair removal through a Groupon promotion. I've been to many medical spas in my in the past and it’s refreshing how great the spa and staff were. When I found out how affordable their services are I was so thrilled that I decided to purchase another package. Honestly, I’m surprised they don’t charge more. The spa is immaculate, the staff is welcoming and so kind. They sure do have client care down to a science. I've never been to a place that offers so any services and does them all so well. I trust this company with my skin and money. I could not be happier with my results! more

No More Ingrown Hairs.. 3/11/2011

I’ve had ingrown hairs forever in my Bikini area I recently had my “yearly” check up at my OBGYN and he recommended i try laser hair removal. \r \r \r He told me that he refers all his patients to Aura Laser Skin Care , and they are all very satisfied with their results.\r \r I did some research and decided to move forward with it.\r \r OMG!!! I’ve only had 2 treatments and I’m 100% ingrown free, and most of my hair is not growing back.\r \r As exciting as it is to be hair free, that’s not even the greatest part of all of this. Not having to struggle with the misery of my years of ingrown tops everything.\r \r \r Pros: Really Reasonable, love the staff & clean facility \r \r Cons: Difficult to get in last minute,\r Very Busy, \r more

Groupie 3/10/2011

I purchased a Groupon for two fotofacials at Aura Laser and it was a great deal. I always thought businesses that offer a service at such a great discount really don't give a 100% and the treatment or product would be substandard. I am very happy! the fotofacials i received really helped to lighten freckles on my face and a couple of red veins around my nose too. The Nurse who treated me was very professional and helpful. I was expecting a sales person to try and sell me more stuff, but happy again no pressure and no sales pitch!!! I felt comfortable with the Dr there so i purchased Botox and love love the results. It made a really big difference. I am definitely going back for more. more

Fantastic in Every Aspect 3/6/2011

My experience with Aura Laser was wonderful and I couldn't recommend them more highly. At the time of my consultation, I was on a hormonal medication and was not sure if it would prevent me from having my laser hair removal done. However, instead of trying to push the treatment package on me, their consultant made sure to contact the doctor and get clearance for the treatment which I did. I have so much respect and appreciation for that. The lasering experience was great. My technician was extremely professional and knowledgeable. The atmosphere was great too. I am a spa junky and have visited a handful of places before. I am glad to say that Aura Laser gets my top rating based on professionalism, safety, and results. more

Not worth the time or money 3/3/2011

After a full package of laser hair removal treatments, I am disappointed. Katy, the owner and technician who administered the treatment, was consistently late to my appointments. Either she was chatting away with the previous appointment, having a personal conversation on the phone while I stood there in full view, or in some cases hadn't even arrived at the spa yet. After receiving approximately $1000 in treatments, there was no lessening of the hair at all. It's hard to tell when you're in treatment, because they have you shave all the time, but after letting it grow out for several months, I could see that all the hair I started with was still there. This was after Katy, in multiple treatments, claiming she could see the hair ""jumping out of the follicle"". I probably would have been better off spending my money on whatever it was she was smoking. I would not recommend this place to anyone. more

No Thanks 2/23/2011

I bought the Groupon that Aura offered for laser hair removal. I was so disappointed off that bat that I canceled my Groupon with them. First off, when I tried to schedule my appt, I called and the number went straight to a voice mail, even though it was within business hours. I left a message and never got a call back. So a week later I tried again...same thing that happened the first time. One day later I finally got a call back from a very rude lady that sounded like I was bothering her by setting an appt. I let her attitude go and was just happy they finally called me back. I set the appt for today, 2-23-11. An hour later, ANOTHER lady called me to set up my appt. I told her that I already made one, but confirmed the date and time with her. At the end of our conversation she said, ""We look forward to seeing you next week!"" I got there 15 mins before my appt and waited while one lady chatted with a friend about some mutual friends fro about 10 mins. Then another lady asked me if she could help me and I let her know I was there for my appt. She looked like I was crazy and asked for my name. After looking at the computer for a min she informed me that my appt was not until 3-23-11. I told her that I talked to TWO seperate people and both told me my appt was on 2-23. She basically told me I was lying. So I asked if there were any openings today, to get me in and she said no. As soon as I got home I called Groupon and canceled my voucher with them. There is NO WAY I will trust a company to do my laser hair removal that can't even get their patients scheduled the right way. I am so disappointed, because I already scheduled my WHOLE day around this appt. more

I am all about results and Aura DELIVERED!!! 2/16/2011

I never write reviews about businesses unless I am really happy or extremely ticked off. In the case of Aura Laser medspa I would like to say 3 things: Results. Results. Results. I have gone to 3 other medical spas in the area to have them treat my cistic acne to no avail. Then I stumbled upon Aura through Google search. I started on my acne treatment program in August of 2010 and was done last December. I AM ACNE FREE now and every time I look at my face in the mirrior I have these guiys to thank. Aura is a no BS place. No smoke in mirrors and no pressure sales. They tell you what they can and cannot do for you and you can take that to the bank. Special thanks to Katy and Jessica who were extremely helpful throughout my visits to Aura. more

I'd never go back again 2/11/2011

BAD BUSINESS!!!! 2/11/2011

Let's just say, their motto is ""CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS WRONG""\r \r WORST BUSINESS EVER!!!!! Sign up for a package - you'll see for yourself! \r \r more

Unbelievable Results at a Reasonable Price 2/4/2011

I normally prefer not to talk about myself or to post anything personal, but my recent experience with Aura Laser Skin Care compels me to share it on CitySearch. I have very sensitive skin especially when it comes to shaving. Due to my sensitive skin condition, my legs and underarms were very raw, scarred and extremely unattractive. The wonderful staff at Aura were able to assure me that with their approach and treatment they could help me with my problem. And believe me, they not only delivered on what they promised, but I can't believe how affordable the treatments were. I am now happy to wear skirts and shorts this coming spring! It's helped me tremendously in how I feel about myself and how happy I am in my own skin. Great job Aura!!!!! more
