Rude, No Technical Expertiese, Did Nothing 5/15/2012

Horrible experience, no service, just a lecture. Also, no receipt or copy of work order. For all I know, they charged RC Wiley for 4 hours and parts and labor for who know what?\r Keiths appliace sent an employee to my house to 'repair' my dishwasher. Keiths was under contract to RC Wiley for warraty work and responded to their dispatch. The repairman spent less than 10 mins at my house, did not listen to what I was complaining about and insisted I was complaiing about dishes appearig ""cloudy or white"". I said that was not the nature of my complaint at all. The dishwasher left deposits of grit and garbage glued to the dishes. He ignored this, told me my Tub was filthy. I showed him, with a rag and a spoge that it was not. He then said ""I've been i the bisiness for 14 years I know what I'm talking about."" He insisted I return to RC Wiley and buy a chemical ""Citrus"" product and follow the directions and everythig would be fine. So, I immediately did that. 4 days and 5 loads later, using the product I still have the same problem.\r This guy did not listen, did not do anything but lecture me, and, right in front of him, I could prove he was wrong. As I told him, the machine worked fine for 4 years. By his reasoning, if my machine didn't work right, nobody's machine would work right.\r Also, a point I don't think he was aware of, I'm on well water, and my well water has half the sodium found in municipal ""treated"" water, taken from the Truckee River. His ranting and raving about ""cloudy/white"" is probably from his experience with Municipal water.\r I called and visited RC Wiley, and now they're sending A REAL APPLIANCE company out, Sargant's of Sparks..I wouldn't even give Keith's one star, but there's no way to do that\r \r THIS IS A FOLLOW UP ADDENDUM TO MY ORIGIAL POSTING: The following Monday Sargets Appliance Repair of Sparks responded to RC Wileys 2nd dispatch. Andy, the technition, disassembled the lower pump unit and found accumulated debris from 4 years of service. Cleaned everything, reassembled, and everything works perfectly. Took less than an hour. No, parts required. He was timley, kowledgeable and experiennced. Could not understand why the service tech from Keiths didn't just aujtomatically disassemble the pump uit...after all, it was 4.5 years old and obviously worked fine before, so logic indicates pump debris. IN SHORT: DO NOT USE KEITHS APPLIANCE NO-RESCUE. more

Doesn't quite get professionalism- has no phone manners. 1/11/2011

I didn't call Appliance Rescue for anything. He called me. Granted it was a wrong number, but that wasn't MY fault. Though from his reaction, you would have thought it was! The phone rang. I saw it was Appliance Rescue- never heard of them. I answered the phone. A gruff man responded with a semi-mumbled, gravelly ""Is so-and-so there?"" Not a 'hello,"" not a ""good morning,"" not a ""could I speak with so-and-so please?""; just a rude ""Is so-and-so there?"" I did not understand the name, so I said, ""I'm sorry. Who are you asking for?"" He grumbled louder, ""so-and-so."" I told him, ""I'm sorry, you've got the wrong number."" As if he wasn't already rude enough. I got no apology, nothing even remotely polite: The JERK hung up. That's one jerk I will make sure not to call for ANY type of appliance service! more

Bizarre 4/8/2010

Probably the manufacturers first choice because they charge less for repairs? But you get what you pay for. They showed up like normal, claimed they would fix the problem, then phoned the manufacturer and told them they couldn't do the work. Makes no sense? Pros: Phoned right away eager to help Cons: unprofession and waste your time more

Poor Appliance Repair Service 7/9/2008

We own an LG dishwasher. The first year warranty is expired. But we have two years for parts. My husband called LG about 10 days ago. They told him the code on the dishwashers indicates that we need a new motor. LG set the repair up with Appliance Rescue and had them call my husband. They told my husband that they would call me on Wednesday, July 2nd to set up an appointment to repair the dishwasher. I haven't heard from them. I called yesterday evening and got their answering service. The woman who answered said she would relay the information to them and have them call me this morning. It's now 2:00 p.m. They never called. So I called them. Once again I get an answering service who said they have the information from yesterday, but don't know why I haven't been contacted. They will pass the request on again and hopefully someone will call me. After reading these other two reviews, I don't hold out a lot of hope. I plan to call LG this evening and read these reviews to them as well.\r \r Manufacturers should not use local repair people with this type of reputation.\r \r I have had to get a repair on my LG refrigerator as well. It is under warranty. And, the company they used here in Reno a few months ago was not Appliance Rescue. So, I don't know what made them change companies. But it certainly wasn't a change for the better. more

No contact on open warranty repair. 1/31/2007

I had damage to my refrigerator that was to be repaired under warranty. Keith, the owner, ordered the parts, and Tyson, employee brought them out to install. Tyson made excuses why he didn't want to install the parts, and I said install them, then talk to Keith, about your issue. Finally it came out why Tyson didn't want to install the parts, they had ordered one part wrong, and lied to me about the reason. I was unhappy with his lie but said order the right part and come and reinstall it when you get the right part. He asked to leave the bulky parts with me that were ordered for entire job - they stayed in my house nearly 3 months, and still are here. I called abt 15 times, leaving messages for Keith, the owner to call me, without so much as a return call. Their business card didn't have their address, so I finally searched the internet, and went to the location, which was an apartment, and they didn't know this company. In desperation, I went to RC Willey's, the the store where I originally purchased the refer to complain about the serviceman they'd sent to me. Keith explained to RC Willey the reason he didn't call me was I was upset with his tech (who, by the way lied to me) He never called me to discuss the issue. Very unprofessional behavior - lying then not returning my calls as to status of finalization. Keith was simply going to never deal with finishing this repair that was covered under warranty. more

Slow; Owner hostile to customer 8/25/2005

We called our home warranty after our oven wouldn't heat. Warranty referred us to Appliance Rescue. Diagnostic appointment set for 10 days later. We requested they bring a new heat element, just in case, to save time (they did not). Were promised by tech that element would be installed about two days after received. six days later, owner said it would be another 8 days before earliest possible installation. I calmly expressed dissatisfaction with delays; owner became extremely rude and hostile and threatened not to show up if I dared to ""criticize"" ""the way [he does] business"", he showed zero concern for the inconvenience the delays were causing me. Not so much as an insincere apology or explanation from him. When they finish it will have been over 3.5 weeks w/o an oven. Don't use them unless you have a spare/toaster oven and can afford the delay. Pros: only paid deductible Cons: slow, ugly attitude, indifference more
