I have an older furnace that needs a well seasoned technician and my last oil company couldn't figure out the problem why the furnace would be going on and off all the time. So I tried Apple Oil after talking with Mike we agreed to send out his best serviceman and with in 15 minutes he found what the problem was and the furnace has been running perfectly! Sure today on the coldest day of the year my furnace ran out of oil. My fault forgot to check the tank. So I called for oil and the girl who answered the phone assured me that the delivery would be today and before you know it the driver was at my door within an hour! WOW. Great job. We are new to the area and found APPLE OIL by chance and are very impressed. My wife got home on Friday and the furnace wasn't working so I looked online and found Apple Oil. When I called they just wanted to fix our problem and use us for oil, no commitments! The lady in the office was very nice and took all of my information and the service tech was out shortly afterwards and our furnace is running great now. We signed up with Apple on their automatic delivery system. Apparently they offer you a low initial price to lock you in to signing up for this service. They will come and fill your tank without prior notification and just charge your card as they see fit, whether you need oil or not. Those of us on a budget will find that a tad bit annoying, especially when they show up at 7am and start filling your tank when the weather has not even been cold. Our tank was just under 3/4 full. When we asked about being removed from automatic delivery, they told us if we were not on automatic delivery, that they may not deliver to us if we call them. Kinda spiteful if you ask me. We simply wanted to discuss our options and apparently we struck a nerve with them. Very poor customer service, when you consider we spent $1400 on our first delivery from them 2 months ago, filling our tanks. more

Their "cod" delliveries are prompt and I never had a problem with them about using my charge card. They charged only what was put in my tank and anything more was put back on my charge card within 3 days. They are a very honest reliable company. more

I called and order oil the gave a price above average I have 200 gallon tank ordered 200 ga had 20 ga in tank they said it was 193 ga should been 180 they charged me for 200 I never returned the amount and overcharged me more than 50 bucks I rather freeze than deal with this crooked company how r they still in business more

We had a big party over the Labor Day weekend and our hot water heater let go due to old age. I called Apple Oil 800-962-FUEL and was suprised they were working. One of their service techs came over and stopped the leak and the next morning they came out and replacement the tank. Thanks for such speedy service! more

Last night the temps dropped down to below 10 degrees and one of my zones was not working and a service tech came right over to fix the problem within 2 hours, which was GREAT.. I have had horrible service experience with Apple Oil over the past year and one-half. If you don't remember to call them and request a cleaning appointment during the summer months, you can forget about getting a timely cleaning during the rest of the year. They did not come for two months after I called them for a cleaning - even though I had also told them I smelled fumes each time the furnace came on. When they did finally come, they installed the wrong size air filter in the furnace. They came to repair my hot water heater and billed me for items not covered by the sevice contract. At the time of the repair they did not tell me the item was not covered and provided no estimate of the repair costs. As it turns out the part they replaced (a screw in device) I would have gladly replaced myself for 1/3 of the amount they charged me. Then to top it all, they spilled about a cup of oil on my carpeted basement stairs. The technician left without even telling us. When my wife opened the basement door an hour later she was inundated with oil fumes. She had to call Apple to complain. It took Apple over two months to correct the problem and get the oil smell out of our finished basement. Oil delivery has not been a problem, but if you are looking for competent service with a customer satisfaction oriented staff, then look elsewhere. Pros: Oil Delivery Cons: Horrible service more

I was pleasantly surprised when the owner of Apple Oil came to my home shortly after my request was put in (within an hour or two). Sam came to my front door to let me know that he will have the gate fixed as soon as possible. He was very kind, caring, and professional. When I moved to west haven, I cantacte dthis company to deliver our oil. They werent the most curtious people. I didnt find them very helpful with my needs and teh rates were higher. They did offer year round contracts and other offers for discounts. I didnt feel like they were trying to sell me their business at all. They did all kinds of credit checks and then refused to take me on as a customer. Ny credit wasnt thaty bad I just purchased a 300,000 home! I was very disapointed in the service I got and couldnt even get them to deliver to me! more
