I really like Andiamo. I go there with my wife once or twice a month and we always have a good time. The food is very tasty (my favorite are the specials when they have fish or...

Worst

The food for this place was alright, nothing to go wow over. It was overpriced so i don't understand why citysearch rated this place with $ when it should be $$$. Average price...

Horrible customer service, owner is very rude 11/16/2006

I visited Andiamo's for a birthday party with a large party. Upon entering the restaurant my first thought was that the atmosphere was very nice, however this first impression quickly vanished as soon as the owner approached my fiance and I. She was very rude and cold. Upon taking our party's order she was noticeably upset because we did not order a bottle of wine, although we all ordered a number of glasses of wine and drinks. She was very rude the entire night, trying to rush us and denying multiple requests for service. Upon receiving our bill the total was almost $200.00 off, with added drinks and entrees that are party never ordered nor received. After a heated discussion she finally removed about half of those unordered items, but refused to remove the remainder of the incorrect items from the bill. And all of this treatment was from the owner. I, as well as the entire party, was completely disappointed. We will never return to this establishment and discourage others from visiting. It was an absolutely horrible experience. The food was decent, but no matter how great the food nothing could get past the worst customer service. Pros: food was ok Cons: customer service was horrible more

Long Wait 11/11/2006

We had dinner there on Friday night with a 7:30 reservation. Well, we did not get seated until 8:05 and during that time we just stood and waited with as many as 11 others in the small area right inside the door, there by encroching on the 4 top that also happens to be right at the front door. ""THere is no bar or lounge so there was no where to go. No one kept us abreast of why the delay or even bother to offer any of us a glass of wine to make up for this poor service. When we did finallly get a table and after about 15 minutes lets say around 8:20 we had to flag a waitress to get us a glass of wine. No one had been by to offer us anything...I have to tell ya, it was very poor costomer service. Pros: good location, nice ambiance Cons: poor service, bad parking, poor planning, why bother with a reservation more

Romantic Atmosphere, Amazing Italian Food, Excellent Service! 9/26/2006

Im not sure why Andiamo got bad ratings in the past. We had a great time there last night: from the atmosphere to the service to the food. Andiamo is a bit tucked away from the main hustle and bustle of downtown Bellevue, but it makes for a cozier, more romantic atmosphere. We sat there as day turned to night, and the assistant lit candles on every table for ambience even the bathrooms had lit candles. The decor was chic yet evocative of another time a few walls were painted a modern tangerine and the framed decorations were quaint posters from the turn-of-the-century.\r \r The waiter was very knowledgeable about the wine he served us. We had a bottle of Chianti Classico Riserva, which is a medium to full body wine with hints of blackberry. It was semi-intense and tawny, yet rich and smooth.\r \r Within a few minutes of ordering, we were served an appetizer of Mozzarella Caprese. The Mozzarella and basil combination was out-of-this-world. Not much later, our dinner arrived. We both ordered the lamb special. It was served on a bed of gnocci with a side of green beans and baby carrots. The lamb was heavenly we asked for it medium rare and it was flavored and grilled on the outside, but the inside was tender and melted in our mouths. The gnocci was perfectly cooked and served in a gorgonzola cream sauce that is to die for.\r \r For desert we shared tiramisu and tartufo, which is an Italian chocolate ice cream. The tartufo had a nutty flavor; the hazelnut and other nuts combined with the chocolate was an ethereal experience. The tiramisu was delectable.\r \r We didnt expect Andiamo to get as packed as it did on a Monday night, but even so, the waiter never neglected us. He worked very hard to ensure that we were enjoying our meal and checked frequently enough on us, despite the fact he had a 10-person party behind us. We felt very well taken care of and look forward to the next time we go to Andiamo. Pros: Romantic Atmosphere, Excellent Service, Delicious Food Cons: None that I can think of more

They need new servers/owners and ridiculously poor liquor selection 9/16/2006

As a fellow restaurant owner, here are my OPINIONS. I just went there last night, a Friday 8:30. Their dining room was overlit. They have lights for their wall pictures, but the wattage is too high, so its like you're dining in a cafeteria. There are candles, but with so much light, it was useless and not mood setting at all. We were seated appropriately and timely. Our server was pleasant in appearance, but had a strong accent which made it hard for us to understand her and she didn't understand us very well and I have no accent. The bread was warm and good. We ordered the smoked salmon toasts and it was good, but we weren't given forks, just knives so we held everything as we cut it up. I thought it might be a hand-friendly food, but the pieces were too large. It was like eating a pizza slice. I asked for two forks, but never got them. When we ordered entrees, we wanted risotto, lasagna and tagliatelle pasta. She didn't understand that we wanted 3 entrees and said I had to choose two. I'm not sure if she misunderstood me or not, but she just cost the owner an entree b/c we only ordered 2 dishes. From the way she dressed, she might have been the owner. I noticed most of the staff had aprons, but she did not. Also, when we were looking at ordering cocktails, their only vodka was Stolis. For a white linen place that serves martinis, they should have a top shelf vodka. Grey Goose, Chopin, or Belvedere would have been good. more

Worst of everything 8/14/2006

So, I read the rest of the reviews and felt so vindicated! A friend and I went last week for lunch and just sort of wandered in because we both love Italian. The person who greeted us (sort of) told us we could sit ""wherever"", so we did. We ended up getting up after 10 minutes and getting our own menus (there were only 7 people in the restaurant!). We each ordered a ceasar salad (absoluted wilted greens with a bland dressing) and a split order of chicken picatta. After our salads arrived (another 15 minutes later) we wanted cracked pepper and once again go up and go it ourselves. When our meal came (another 15 minutes later) it was cold and pitiful. All along, we had to ask for everything, water, etc. I finally asked the waitress if they had just opened, figuring that could excuses the behavior/food. Nope, they've been open 4 years! I am a food junkie..love good food and adore and respond to good service. We got neither. Cannot believe they are still in business!! Pros: Cannot think fo one...maybe location Cons: too many to list more

Andiamo is a great place for special events! 5/25/2006

We are Realtors and recently held our annual client appreciation party at Andiamo. We and our guests were thrilled with the atmosphere, food & service we received. Reyes & her team bent over backwards to acommodate our every wish. As a result, the party was a hit! We'll be back many more times, for sure. Thanks for a great experience! more

Why does this have such a high ranking? 5/21/2006

I have never in my life been in such a rude restaurant where the wait staff was so angry and so rude. It was actually shocking. It was like the whole place was running a prank on the customers to see who could get the walk-in people the most upset. The food was cold, not prepared to order. The waiters literally said ""You should be clearer when you order- it is your fault. I won't take it back.""!!!! The manager just smirked at everyone. Do NOT go to this place- it depends on walk-ins who haven't researched it. Someone change the rankings! Cons: bad service, bad food, rude owner more

Worst restaurant experience EVER!!! 5/3/2006

How bad can an Italian restaurant be? We had driven by numerous times and it was always empty, but we thought we'd give it a try. It's hard to judge what the worst part was - was it when the caprese salad came without basil and the waiter, instead of getting some, concluded that the DRESSING had basil in it? Was it when I still had a full plate of food and a busser tried to take my food? Or was it when I had to get my own fork (which no one noticed) and my girlfriend had to cut her severly undercooked steak with a butter knife? We decided if there was Italian restaurant HELL, this was where we would eat every night. It was as if the staff were plucked off the street with no restaurant experience. Pros: Food was OK Cons: Service, Service, Service more

Dissappointing all around 1/18/2006

Heed the warning of the other reviews: avoid this place. Like others have said, the service was absolutely horrible and the food was mediocre at best. We were not seated by a host; rather, we were pointed in the direction of an empty table. We then had to wait quite some time for any attention from a server. When we finally ordered, we could tell the waitress had better things to do. The appetizer (calamari) was a dissappointment. After the appetizer followed another long wait before receiving our entrees. When we got our food, I learned that clam linguine in white sauce meant undercooked pasta in a white wine/water flavorless mixture. The waitress never came to check on us or see if there was anything we needed. Throughout our time at the restaurant another server was continually clanking dishes and setting up tables all around us. Cons: service, food, food/service more
