Started good, middle okay, ending bad.....still bad! Dan came out and gave us his quote which was very fair so we decided to go with ARW. They came and measured promptly, the windows were made promptly, and the appt. to have them installed was prompt. The day of installation was to start at 10 a.m. but they didn't show up until after noon and they were one man short. This may not have been a problem for most people but we live 2 1/2 hours away and we were depending on our working daughter to be there for the 1/2 day job that they said it would be. Needless to say they only got 1/2 the job done and were ready to quit at 5:00. After a go around with their office the workers (not at all happy) stayed to finish the job. At 9:00 p.m. they were finishing up and realized that there was no outside lock on the slider which is a must have because it's the main door for entering and exiting the unit. Besides no lock the slider is almost impossible to open and close because it needs adjusting. We are now in the third week and no lock. Our daughter is having to climb thru her bedroom window to get into the house. We have called Dan....no help. We have talked to the lead lady Cindy......empty promises. The lock they need is in Simi Valley and the job sight is in Chatsworth. One hour out of the day of a single employee will get the job done. I guess we just don't matter. Promises of 3 days (that was 3 weeks ago) and promised phone calls have never materialized. WE ARE STILL WAITING!!! Customer BEWARE if there is any type of glitch with your order/installation. I read great reviews about ARW so I called for an estimate and Dan came out on 9/3. We felt good about Dan so we decided to hire ARW to replace 12 single hung, 2 double hung, 1 bay window and a 12 ft patio door....all for about 9k. It was more than what we want to spend but we wanted professionals to work on our house so we decided to bite the bullet. Dan said that it will take 2 wks for them to get the windows so after 2 wks had gone by without any word from them, we called ARW and spoke with John. The installation date was scheduled for 9/30 and because I have other contractors working on the house, he asked that no other contractors be at the house at the time of installation as he will have 5 guys working on the project that day. Dan told me that after installation, they will do a walk through with us to make sure that every window is exactly how we wanted it. The installers were supposed to be at the house until 6:30pm. I got home around 5pm and they were gone! What happened to the walk through? They did, however, leave a rubble of my destroyed window trims, pieces of my wood shutters and broken glass in my living room carpet, candy wrappers and empty cans (at least 4) of monster beverage, and their DNA all over my windows---they were muddy dirty handprints! One of my double hungs wasn't, another window opened the wrong side, all the windows were standard locks when I asked for snaplocks and the key to the patio door was missing. I called the office to complain and within 10 minutes, Dan showed up and he saw everything that I described. He promised that everything will be corrected but the soonest they can be changed was 2 weeks. My husband and I cleaned up the trash they left (big mistake). The following morning I received a call from different people. John, Mike, and someone else...wanting to see the crime scene for themselves but of course we've cleaned up the mess as we weren't going to leave the trash for 2 weeks! I told them to ask Dan what he witnessed....btw, that was the last time we heard from Dan. Three weeks later, the same crew showed up and corrected everything. John showed up as well but was in a rush and clearly not interested in our complaints. Still no walk through...he simply asked if the windows are how we wanted them. The crew, led by David, asked me to sign a certificate of completion. I was hesitant to sign because they still didn't clean my windows but I just couldn't let this job drag on any longer so I signed. Before I signed, I looked at the guys and asked them if they were the same guys who left the candy wrappers and empty cans. They looked embarrassed as they nodded. I didn't pay 9k to get this kind of service. I am very disappointed with the service. We requested for tax credit forms for the windows before their last visit. It's 10/29 and we still haven't received them.\r more

When Dan my sales rep. came to my home, he not only gave me three different for estimates for different types of windows as well as me a great demonstration of the quality and engineering of the products. Since my windows face West and I am close to a busy street, I decided to go with the top of the line product. My windows were done even a few weeks before they were scheduled for installation. They took their time with the installation to make sure it was done right and I was very comfortable with the whole crew, they really worked hard. I would recommend any one getting windows to go with American Reliable. Pros: Very professional and knowledgable more

After interviewing 6 different companies, this is why we chose American Reliable Windows. They are vinyl window professionals. This is what they do. I had done my homework, so I knew the quality of their windows were top notch, and the price was good, too. When Dan Patten came to give us the estimate, he was not "pushy" in any way, shape or form. He was knowledgeable and he explained about the new vinyl windows. He was very helpful. He explained all the available options. After we accepted the estimate from Dan Patten, about 4 weeks later, a team of 5 installers arrived on time, on the scheduled day, with drop cloths. They covered all the floors and walkways (they even took their shoes off when inside the house, because we do not wear them while inside). They installed 12 large windows and 1 patio door in one day. They vacuumed with a high-powered vacuum, after they finished installing. This company is everything they claim to be, and more. They were very polite and professional. The crew kept things clean all along the way, and hauled away all the old windows and all debris at no extra charge. The team was very neat and efficient. When they finished installing the new windows, they did not ask for a final payment and ran off. They took their time and walked with me and my husband. They checked each and every window to make sure that every thing was in working order. They instructed us how to use the windows and how to maintain them. They answered all our questions and were very detailed in their explanations. This shows that this is a very professional company and they do what they promise. We were very pleased with our experience from start to finish. Since our installation, we have recommended them to at list 7 family members. Their customer service is head and shoulders above anyone.
