American Choice Van Lines succeeded in fulfilling a last-minute request of 4 days prior to the day of the move and ensured that the furniture was moved out from my home at a reasonable rate. They arrived within the time frame, which they had stated, and moved the items in an efficient and careful manner. I was very pleased with their professionalism and dependability. Because moving can be quite stressful, I called everyday for several days leading up to the day of the move and on moving day, I called twice. They were good-natured about those calls and said not to worry. Thankfully, they were indeed true to their words. Excellent Job! I had to take care of my family in CA and had a residence in the Atlanta GA area. I had to get everything packed quickly before closing and walk-through 8 days after contacting their customer service. Estimator came by the week-end and did an onsite estimate of my belongings. A couple of days later, they came by and packed a few of my items, and the next day loaded everything and delivered to a storage facility of my choice. They completed it quickly and professionally, and all that at a fraction of the price of other carriers. I do not normally post reviews but this time I will make an exception. I found this guys because of their reviews and I decided to leave one. My experience using American Choice Van Lines is amazing. From start to finish I have nothing to complaint about. They are on time handling everything with extreme care and they deserve their good ratings. My move was only 25 miles apart but it is still very hard to find someone that you can trust. Well if you are looking for good moving experience you should call American Choice Van Lines. THIS PLACE WILL RIP YOU OFF IN A SECOND. They quote one price they give you a bunch of bull$#!% about why they need to charge you twice as much. they cracked the screen on my TV and won't take responibility for it. All in all, a terrible experience and I will never use them again! more

My sister in law recommended these guys. I moved from an apartment in the South Bay to a house in Phoenix, AZ. The crew from American Choice Van Lines showed up and didn't waste any time figuring things out. Immediately I could see how energetic and professional they were. They started wrapping stuff, even my cheap IKEA furniture that was previously damaged by the prior movers. They made sure the elevator was ready and started filling it. Again, they waste no time. I wish I had half the energy they have!!! Everything went smooth. After a week, my stuff got in AZ, In my new place I had total trust having them there without me unpacking. They put everything in the rooms that the boxes and furniture belonged to. When I arrived at the house, they were working really hard to get things unloaded. They even put together my kitchen table for me. I highly recommend these guys to anyone looking for hard working and honest movers. I have no fear of moving now that I know American Choice. more

My first contact with American Choice Van Lines, was extremely pleased. I explained to this guy from customer service that I had a crazy busy schedule and provided him with the only time I had available to move which was just a few days after I contacted him. He confirmed that he would make it happen for me. He even went out of his way to check out both locations to make sure the move would run smoothly for me. On the day of the move, 3 movers arrived early and moved quickly but carefully. They even fixed a couple of my furniture pieces that were damaged by my last movers. Ok, I am usually skeptical when I see a really negative review for something, but this is the truth. Very nice people, but my move with this company was kind of a nightmare. I chose American choice because of it's good reviews and I don't want what happened to me to happen to anyone else. The movers showed up 6 hours late for pick up and a couple of hours late for drop-off, and although I was promised updates, I had to call the company frequently to try to figure out what was going on. The movers pulled apart things that weren't supposed to come apart and shoved them into boxes without correct packaging, didn't pay attention to the "fragile" labels on boxes, stacked heavier boxes on top of lighter ones and heavy things on top of antique furniture. I was trying to direct them, but there was a definite language barrier...chaos! My suggestion would be, if you value your things, your time and your sanity, go with another company! There are a lot of moving companies out there. My experience with this one was a total headache, and resulted in a lot of things being broken despite the considerable expense that I paid them. You can do better! Go elsewhere! more

American Choice Van Lines went above and beyond the usual moving experience, especially for the price. The staff seemed to have a genuine concern for our belongings. They all seemed happy and cooperative. It was kind of freaky really, but I liked it. We paid exactly the price they quoted and no more. Everything went very smoothly. My friend recommended American Choice Van Lines and I contact this company and they were able to squeeze me in a week before my move. They had a man come out to my house to estimate how long the move would take and he gave me two payment options: He estimated the move would take 8 hours, so I could pay a flat fee for 8 hours up front or just pay per hour. I chose the flat fee. The day of move had a slogan: "What could go wrong, will go wrong." We hit so many snags during our move that I thought the guys were going to throw their hands in the air and say "Forget this!" The building I was moving from wouldn't let the truck in, then the building I was moving to didn't assign us an elevator so we had to use a tiny and slow one and worst of all, the new building didn't want the truck inside the property so the poor guys had to haul our furniture across the street. Needless to say, the move took over 8 hours. But the guys never complained - they were constantly cracking jokes. They were very careful with our furniture. They even saw that I was short a few boxes and provided me with some extras that they had in their truck. I'm more than satisfied with their work and recommend them to everyone. more

My family and I lost everything we own and didn't cram into our car on July 3, 2010 when American Choice Van Lines warehouse burned to the ground. We were informed of the disaster on July 19 after many attempts to contact the company through email and phone. (One phone call was answered and the employee said they were having difficulty getting back to customers because their system was down - no mention of the fire that brought their system down!) The scoundrel owner Vladimir Somov and his pet Gordon then proceeded to lead us on into thinking that a fire investigation was all that was needed before we would receive our minimal refund of $0.60/lb as promised in their contract. When we asked about a refund of the $1600 we already paid them they reassured us that we would get a refund. Over a year later, even after contacting the Better Business Bureau and the Santa Clara District attorney, we have never received a dime. The fire report indicated that Vladimir, on the day of the fire, told fire officials he didn't think he had insurance to cover his contract obligations. Indeed he admitted this on the phone to my wife in September of that year. He told the BBB and the DA that we would get our money when the insurance company finished their investigation. He had no insurance. My advice: While I'm sure Vladimir learned a lot from this experience, in my book he is a liar and a slimy businessman. i wouldn't trust him with your stuff if I were you. more

I have to say that American Choice Van Lines did a great job with our recent office move - from initial contact for a quote until the final handshake with the crew. The guys arrived on time and were professional and hardworking. Movers were very careful to ensure all items were protected and loaded on to the truck safely. Even after a long load in on a cold evening they maintained high energy levels for the unload and always took care of our items. Got to San Francisco before rush hour, every thing was put in its place, and there were no hidden charges at the end, you can't get any better than that.
