Editorial review from Citysearch 4/17/2013

I recently got a lease from Scott Robinson Honda. My sales person was Natasha Ramos. She was pretty awesome. She was very knowlegeable about cars and explained to me the differences in the new cars, showed me the different models, listened to what i could afford and where i was at, talked about my credit score, etc., she wasn't pushy at all and was really helpful and didn't make me feel bad about my situation. I spent a few hours at the dealership and before i knew it was driving out in a brand spankin' new 2013 Honda Civic EX which i'm thrilled to be driving! Thank you Scott Robinson, Natasha Ramos, George, Henry! You guys ROCK! more

Great after a minor hiccup. Alex Garcia is specially good 3/6/2012

I bought my Odyssey at SRH in 2006. They matched the best Internet price I had from somewhere else. Got a high rate of interest but was able to have them reduce it once i did some shopping around. the "finance" guy tried to pull one over me and was not willing to let me refi although the sales guy had committed that I had 7 days to shop around for a better interest rate. I have taken 1 star off just for that.\r \r The service at Honda has been great ever since. (I second the other user who mentioned Alex Garcia). Alex always makes sure I get the service I need and nothing more, when my tires needed replacing and I was sure I would go to Costco, he was OK with that and did not try to force me to buy from them, He has always made sure to use the extended warranty I bought were applicable, etc.\r In short, my van has never seen any other service center, primarily thanks to Alex. I will keep going back to them, even if it is a wee cheaper outside. more

Worst car buying experience! INCONSIDERATE! 3/5/2012

WORST CAR BUYING EXPERIENCE EVER!! I would NEVER do business here again. If I could rate them with zero stars I would. It was a very shady and INCONSIDERATE group of people to work with.\r \r Since our family is growing, and because we live down the street, we decided to visit Scott Robinson in search of a Pilot. Jeremiah, our salesman, was pretty nice to work with at the beginning. Test drove a used Pilot and we were very interested in purchasing it. We then asked to get an estimate for our trade-in (just for knowledge) but I was going to sell it on m own. Then Dave comes in. Mr. ""gum chewing, professional"" salesman gives me a spiel and tells me I'm emotionally attached to my car and think it's worth more than it actually is before giving me the number. Also, instead of telling us there was a lower internet price, he was working off of the sticker price. He just gave us a bad vibe and we left.\r \r I get a call the next day from customer service and explained our situation. We head back down the street like idiots to work with Jeremiah again. Since he was busy, Bobby helps us and was really good to work with at first. He was very upfront, honest, and got to the point. Very much appreciated that. We couldn't agree on a price for the 2011 Pilot and started to negotiate on a NEW 2012 Pilot. We told him we were interested, but they didn't have a new EX model on the lot. Bobby said he can get it for us and would make it happen. We waited around for a an hour and told us they would call me the car would be there in 2-3 days. \r \r 2 or 3 days later, I get a call from Aaron, telling me that he can't get a car without extra accessories. I would also be responsible for the extra cost. After going back and forth over the phone 6 times, and even offering to split the cost of the accessories I did NOT want, he would not budge. I STILL agreed to the extra cost to get the car as soon as possible. I then get another call from Jeremiah saying they found the original car I wanted and the original deal was good. He said he would call me back to schedule an appoinment. Just to be clear, all I wanted was a silver EX Pilot model with no extras.\r \r We made an appointment for Friday at 6pm. After a long week at work, and making babysitter arrangements, my husband and I were looking forward to our new car. I get a call Friday from Jeremiah, asking to push back our appointment and I agreed. We walk in the dealer around 7pm and I ask to see the new car. Jeremiah says that ""the car is in traffic, but on it's way!"" He asks us to wait, comes back with Joe, and Joe tells us the car was SOLD!! I was LIVID!!!\r \r SERIOUSLY!!??!! Not one person was considerate enough of our time, our energy, my family's time! If Scott Robinson didn't have the car, why waste my time and tell me they were going to get the car!! So INCREDIBLY SHADY!\r \r I feel like the plan was to keep getting us to come into the dealership and talk us into getting anything, but come on. Aaron telling me I ""deserved"" the car and the extra accessories were worth it and Jeremiah saying the car was in ""traffic""??\r \r It's sad that I drive by Scott Robinson everyday with my baby and now I wouldn't even take my car there for service.\r \r We went to Carson Honda right after we walked out the last time and had the BEST experience there. Spent half an hour negotiating, they ordered my car, went back the next day for 90 minutes and drove away in my brand new EX Pilot. Thank you Carson Honda! SHAME ON YOU Scott Robinson Honda.\r more

Jennifer Dikilato is Simply Fantastic 1/6/2012

I recently had the pleasure of working with Jennifer Dikilato when purchasing my Honda Pilot. I admit that I had a feeling of dread when the thought of having to step onto a lot and deal with the white shirt, cheap suit and tie crew that is normally found on a dealership lot. We all know the type -- the three pump handshake, the what are you willing to go ""up to"" mentality and the awful four box approach to buying the car. I went on the lot and braced myself with a quote from truecar and hoped that I wouldn't be arrested for stabbing someone. What I was met with however was entirely the opposite. I was greeted by Jennifer Dikilato. She was happy, focused but not your normal car salesperson. She listened to what I was looking for and then took me to it. There wasn't the auto assesment of maybe if this guy wants this, we can slide him into this model with four thousand bells and whistles. I was really happy with her demeanor and the way that seh explained all of hte feature of the automobile and what was the good and bad. She was patient with my concerns and I never felt like she was trying to sell me the car. Rather she allowed the car to do that for itself and really she was there to answer any questions. I wasn't overwhelemed with the many features as she found a very casual yet engaging way of carrying the conversation along. There wasn't a mounting pressure of we need to buy this one car or it would be stolen away from us the instant we hesitated. I felt at ease even when we returned to the lot after the test drive. There wasn't the awful four box discussion, in part to the truecar price quote, but really due to Jennifer's candor and the way she carried herself. We didn't even have to experience those traditional 30 minute waits between price points. The entire process was very well done and I highly reccommend Jennifer to anyone looking to buy a Honda. more

Why I choose Scott Robinson 12/18/2011

Being a girl I?ve had a bad history of being taken advantage of by mechanics however after purchasing my current Honda 2yrs ago I began servicing my car at Scott Robinson Honda, specifically to Alex Garcia a service adviser. Last week my car wouldn?t start, friends told me if not the battery it could be the starter or the alternator and it was starting to sound potentially unaffordable. I was able to get the car to Alex Garcia at Scott Robinson Honda that day knowing he would diagnosis my car correctly and not jerk me around on price or unnecessary work. Thankfully it turned out it the battery needed to be replaced, cheapest scenario : ) Alex Garcia takes the time to know his customers and at this point understands I have financial limits (like most of us do) & when there is a laundry list of service needed on my car he helps me prioritize what he thinks is most critical and what I can realistically afford. Some may think it?s a rip off to take you car to "the dealer" but dealer more

No Pressure Car Sales - Look for Nikos 7/25/2011

My husband and I wanted lease a new CR-V and we saw an internet advertisement for $0 down offer. At first we went to Santa Monica Honda. They explained that no cars were available. Apparently, Honda inventory low after the tsunami because certain parts manufactured in Japan were unavailable. Thus, I wasn't expecting much when I went to Scott Robinson Honda. \r \r However, I was pleasantly surprised. Our salesperson, Nikos Enfieljian was extraordinary. He gave us exactly what we wanted, at a lower price than expected and without any pressure. Nikos gave us $500 off because we qualified for an owner loyalty program. He even printed out our policy info on the spot to make sure we had the documentation for the discount. He didn more

i recently went to scott robinson honda to get some fluids for my 2007 honda element. i was greeted by Rick. he was very attentive to what i needed and even told me that honda now sells synthetic motor oil and explained to me the differance and how i could save money using honda oil than using mobil 1. he even mentioned to me if i needed any filter for my car and he would explain to me how to install them since i am on a tight budget. He even printed diagrams on the parts breakdown so i could know how it comes apart.\r \r Thank you Rick for going the extra mile to help me. i wish more parts people were like you! more

Best car purchasing experience ever - go to Nikos Enfiedjian 1/24/2011

For the first time in history, our family had a GREAT BUYING EXPERIENCE -- and it's all because of the salesman - NIKOS ENFIEDJIAN. He is not like any salesman you've ever met. My Father and I were looking for a car to lease and before meeting Nikos, had never once had a good experience when going to dealerships. The salesperson would play sales head games, not listen to what we wanted and throw monkey wrenches into deals at the last minute. In most cases, my Dad would end up leaving, get very stressed out at the harassment and games he had to deal with, and it was a very painful experience for him, which was always unnecessary. Based on 40 years of bad experiences, my Dad had a very negative view of buying cars and the salesmen also. (He visited Scott Robinson Honda 2 years ago and ended up leaving because of last minute shenanigans from the Finance/sales team.) Very reluctantly, he and I came into Scott Robinson Honda last Sunday to lease a car, and we were fortunate enough to come across Nikos, a pleasant and very straight forward young man who surprised us right away with his honesty, his desire to help us, and his professionalism. We knew right away there were no games here - Nikos honestly worked to get us the best deal he could and even walked my Dad through all the financial breakdowns. (My Dad is a Finance specialist so he likes to break down and calculate everything out.) Nikos kept right up with him, patiently waiting for my Dad to calculate and understand, answered all his questions and made sure we understood and were happy with everything. Nikos bent over BACKWARDS for us. There were no monkey wrenches, no sales ploys - just straightforward, honest and helpful professionalism. We were THRILLED! In the end, Nikos got us exactly what we needed, the deal was simple and we were in and out of there very quickly. Nikos even filled up our car with gas, called after to make sure we were happy, and sent us a lovely thank you card a few days later. My Dad marveled saying what a painless experience it was, and that in 40 years, this was the first time he had a great experience with a sales person getting a car. He only wants to work with Nikos from now on. I too have dealt with other Salesmen at Scott Robinson and no one even came close to Nikos. We will be referring him for any friends/family who are looking for a car. I can't say enough good things about this young man: he is honest, kind, caring and completely defies every stereotype that exists about Car Salespeople. He is fantastic, deserves much success and accolades!! GO TO THIS GUY IF YOU NEED A CAR!!!! You won't regret it. more

my wife and I were amazed at how easy it was 1/11/2011

I recently went to Scott Robinson Honda (SRH) to look at purchasing a Honda Civic, so usual, I got myself fully mentally prepared to do battle with the salesman. But times have changed, as my wife and I were amazed at how easy it was to purchase a car at SRH.\r We were greeted nicely by Tony Kim as we entered the showroom, (not hawked as we walked onto the lot). We told him what car we were interested in and he showed us that actual car (not the car the dealer wanted off the lot). We told him what price we were willing to pay, and I can say as a sales manager myself, even the negotiations were simple and no pressure! They even rushed our paperwork so my wife and I could make our dinner reservations.\r \r Thank you Tony, Mr. Carlson, and SRH for the best car buying experience I have had in my 50 years on the planet.\r \r John W. more

Civic 2011 LX purchasing experience 1/4/2011

I would like to share my purchasing experience that I had with Scott Robinson Honda in Torrance.\r \r I was looking for a car for my sister in law and decided to search for the dealers in LA County. Scott Robinson was 1 of the 3 dealers that had the best reviews among tens of other dealers. I sent an internet quote request where Megan, one of the internet sale team, responded to my request. Megan was very easy to deal with and very fast in her responses, It took me only 2 hours to finalize the deal with her after they matched and beat the lowest price by 1.5%.\r \r I went to the showroom the same day where Tony showed us the car and was very kind and professional in his answers to our questions and concerns. \r \r After my SIL liked the car we moved to Chris, who in turn was very nice gentleman who smoothly run our credit applications and finalized the deal.\r \r All in all, we were completely satisfied in every aspect. I had a lot of concern about purchasing a brand new car for the first time more

Avoid SRH Service Deprtment!! 10/23/2010

I spoke with someone yesterday and explained that I needed an estimate for repair of damage the previous owner sustained. I only wanted an estimate and could not commit to repair at that time. I was told I could bring the car in and they would look at it and give me the estimate. I would most likely have brought the car back to SRH for repair. When I arrived the person I had spoke with was not there. I was told that they would only look at the body damage and could not put the car on the rack to look at it unless they were going to fix it. I was very annoyed and told them I had come because I was told they could give me an estimate. When I left the person I had been speaking with told me to "have a nice day" in a very sarcastic manner. I will never go to SRH again and will encourage people I know who own Honda's to go to another Honda Service Department. more

Great Parts Department 5/22/2010

i went into scott robinson looking for a sunvisor for my 1998 honda civic. Rick in the parts department was very thorough with asking me all the information on my car since i wasn't to sure. when he gave me the price, i was a bit hesitant on the price, but when he offered to install it for free and said he could do it right now, i said yes sounds like a great deal. It's nice to know people like him are willing to do little things like that. Thank you Rick And Thank You Scott Robinson Honda!! more

Although all Hondas are the same, all Honda dealers are not! 3/18/2010

On Friday, March 12, 2010 at approximately 9 p.m., I submitted an email requesting additional information about a vehicle to Scott Robinson Honda?s Internet Department. I received a call the next day approximately 10 a.m. from the internet sales department giving me a brief description of the vehicle and inviting me to come in and take a look. When I arrived at the car lot, I was promptly greeted and asked had I been helped. Everyone was friendly and respectful and it was genuine; not just because they wanted to score a ?quick sale.? The sales people were neither chasing me down nor vying with each other to make a sale. Everyone from the sales people, receptionist to the finance officers and especially Chris Carlson, were very friendly and professional. Scott Robinson Honda creates a family like atmosphere and you will feel it the moment you walk in the dealership. I explained my financial circumstances along with my needs and the General Manager, Eric Bolstad, and my sales more

Thanks Scott Robinson!! 3/13/2010

My wife and I live in Gardena and last weekend we went to our local dealer, Gardena Honda. We were interested in checking out the new Crosstour. When we got there we got out of our car and started to head toward the showroom. As we got closer we noticed 2 sales people to be what looked like arguing on who was supposed to help us. One of the guys walk up to us and the first thing that he says is "are you here to buy a car today?" and we said no, we just wanted to see the Crosstour and take it for a test drive. He then said wait here and walked away and went back to the other salesman that he was fighting with said something to him and just left. So the other salesperson walks over and says "do you just want to take a test drive?" and we said we just want to check it out. He then said, which shocked us "If you just want to drive it and you don't want to buy it today then you would have to come back during the week when they were not as busy as they are on the weekend." We looked at each more

So far so good 1/17/2010

I spent months shopping for a used car in the South Bay--literally. I've spoken with used-car sales reps from just about every car dealership in the area. The sales people at Scott Robinson were the least dishonest and least sleazy out of all of them. They weren't perfect, but they were the only dealership that I actually didn't mind returning too. For a dealership that sells used cars, I think that says a lot.\r \r The sales process went pretty quickly with minimal negotiation. We settled on a price that was close to what Edmunds said I should pay very fast. The only part of the sales process I didn't like was the "extended warranty" business, which took the majority of the time while I was there, just to get them down to a price where the cost/benefit resembled something sensible. In retrospect, if I had refused it that would have been it and we would have moved on. But once I "bit" it was the whole "let me speak with the manager" all over again.\r \r I'm writing this review beca more
