Customer beware of this company!!!!! We called Action to perform a furnace simple tune-up and they said that we needed to do a cleaning of everything and quoted $600. I had 3 other Heating companies look at it and they all said that the furnace did need to be cleaned, but Action was including things that didn't need to be fixed. We also noticed a banging sound whenever our furnace turned on, after the tune-up, and one of the other Heating Tech's suspected that the Action service tech left the motor off balance so we would have to call Action back. The service tech, Todd, from Action did show up on time, but when we presented a $33 coupon for a furnace tune-up (that I printed from Action's website) he said in a rude voice ""You have got to be kidding me"". Worst customer service ever! I will NEVER use Action again! more

\r I purchased a furnace check up through deals for action heating and air a few weeks ago. I scheduled an appointment with them for today (made the appointment nearly 3 weeks ago). After I took the day off, they didn't show up at the time they told me and then called to reschedule the appointment saying they had emergencies come up, they said that they would put us on the ""standby"" appointments tomorrow and if they didn't get out, they would reschedule us for November! How many days I am supposed to take off work for them to finally show up? This company is poorly ran, unethical, and a scam. more

I bought the groupon a while back to get my A/C looked at. They finally came out to my house after 2 months. I wasn?t too happy about that, but the fact that I only paid 20 bucks or something and they came and cleaned out the vents and even explained how I can maintain my ac every month ? it was well worth the wait. The tech was respectful, on time and easy to understand. But only if they could have gotten me in sooner. more

Had action come out to the house yesterday for just an A/C tuneup and everything went really well. They did have to reschedule once with me, but they made up for being on time, quick and efficient and didn?t try to give me the normal sales mumbo jumbo that we needed a new A/C or something like that. That?s the worst? getting taken advantage because I?m a woman. more

When they finally call and say they can meet me the tech wouldn't wait for me to get home. I waited 2 days for them. They couldn't wait 20 minutes for me!!!! No way to treat a customer. more

Action Plumbing Heating and Air RIPOFF 5/22/2012

I agree, don't trust these guys! These guys came out and sold me a duct cleaning service that was supposed to use this revolutionary duct cleaning system. The guys showed up with a shop vac! See this video for proof! I can't post the video on here, but search youtube for ""Utah Action Plumbing Heating and Air RIPOFF Duct Cleaning"" to see it. Second, they make up prices on a whim. They said freon was very expensive and it would cost about 350 dollars to refill my AC unit. I didn't realize till after, too trusting, that they didn't even know how much would be needed to fill it, so they were totally making up prices. THEN, when I had issues after the service, they would not return my call until I filed a complaint with the BBB. Do not trust these guys! more

Don't trust these guys! 5/13/2012

I talked to the technician when he was on the way to our house. He arrived and told my wife practically word for word what I told him was wrong with our system. He said it was junk and we needed to replace the whole system. They did not do their $33 dollar tune up, which is what I asked for, they charged me a $59 diagnostic charge and all they did was quote me on a new system. Very unprofessional and I would not recommend wasting your money with these guys. I know I will never use them again. more

warranty worked 4/27/2012

My water fillter was leaking through to my basement floor and I couldn't seem to find where in the filter it was coming from. Action kept to their warranty and guarantee and came out and fixed it the next day and gave me directions on how to temporarily stop the water from leaking. more

Great emergency guys - called em last night to fox the backed up pipe and they came out in an hour and unclogged the drain and cleaned up after our mess. more
