What can I say? This is about the most trustworthy and reliable company that I have dealt with in the last few years. Early Summer 2011 our 20 year old Air Conditioner went out. AG Heating sent a service guy and he fixed it. He also checked our furnace and placed a safety feature on our furnace for free because he ""didn't want to see any of our kids get hurt"". He told us that we would need a new HVAC and gave us a quote. He was very nice. During the heat wave. Our AC went out and I called another company that sent another guy that couldn't fix it but instead told us we needed a new system and gave us a quote way more than AG Heating. We tried yet another company and they gave us a quote double of what AG did. Then we called AG Heating and asked if they would still honor the quote from a few months back, and they did. Even better, they came out only a few days later and not only installed a great HVAC, also fixed a problem with the air ducts for free. This is one company I trust, and if you spend a few minutes talking to them in person you will see what I mean more

It was Friday afternoon when I called, and they were able to get me an appointment for Monday between 8:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. The technician showed up right at 8:30 on Monday, introduced himself, told me what he was going to do and got started. I noticed his van outside was clean and looked good, and his uniform was clean and professional looking. He was courteous and used the overshoes he brought each time he came in the house. He did the work he needed to do inside the house on the air handler (inspecting and cleaning) first and then moved outside. He did a very thorough job of checking just about everything in the system from an efficiency and safety point of view. He also answered every question I had for him about the system and what he was doing, and he was polite throughout. He did a good job of working with our old outdoor unit and explained all of the options we have with such an old system as far as keeping it running, replacing it or etc. He also explained how the systems have changed since ours was installed. In the end, the only reason the bill was what it was is because the age of our system and the fact that we decided to have the technician add a little refrigerant. Since the freon the old a/c unit uses is old and hard to come by, it's expensive. Otherwise, the visit and the work that he did is very reasonably priced. After he completed his work, the technician cleaned up (even a little mess that he didn't make) and got the paperwork done quickly. He gave us a detailed summary of what he found along with any suggestions he had for keeping the system running smoothly. I found that overall he was very professional, and I would recommend AG Heating to anyone looking for like services and would call them again for my own system."" more

After getting my system back up and running so I could have heat for the night they came out that Saturday to give me an estimate for a new system. AG comfort adviser was great; he designed 3 systems for me, explained everything in detail including guarantees, system design and several questions I had. I decided on a system I felt was right for me and they came out the following Monday and installed. I can't honestly say how the install went because they were finished by the time I got home from work! I had a nice new programmable thermometer on my wall and a nice new heat pump on the side of my house. My last heat pump wasn't on a slab of concrete; they took care of that at no charge. Not Impressed 4/28/2012

I have to say, I'm not sure I believe all of these 5 star reviews are written by actual customers. Our experience with the service call was actually a fine one, the men were courteous. Called them out b/c our a/c suddenly stopped working. They took a look in the attic, told us we had a collapsed air duct and needed a complete overhaul of our system. It'd be a $10,000 job to replace everything, $3,500 if we just wanted to replace our collapsed air ducts which would be sufficient enough to get the air back on. We paid the $99 service fee and told them we'd have to think about it. Got another company to come out for a quote. While they were checking out the attic, they fixed the collapsed air duct without us even asking. Charged us $75 for the call, $25 for the repair. $100 vs. the $3500 that AG made us believe was mandatory. Obviously my wife and I don't find them trustworthy after that. Be sure to get a second opinion. PS the 2nd company who fixed the problem for $100 was HVAControl Inc. more

Thanks AG Heating and Air Conditioning I just wanted to thank you all very much for all of the help you provided me. I recently had my A/C die in the middle of a hot summer. AG Heating and Air Conditioning came out that day I called and give me sound advice about my AC unit and the ventilation system. Your price was well under anybody else I called and the service we extremely friendly. Again, thanks to you all for coming out and giving me great service that was like you personally installing my A/C unit for me so I could have a cool house again. I know your guys were busy and have a lot of work ahead of you but I really appreciate you doing that for me. Extremely competitive 4/3/2012

We had AG Heating and Air Conditioning out to give an estimate we went ahead with the installation of our new Furnace and A/C and I have to say very professional company from start to finish. AG Heating and Air Conditioning explained everything in a manner that was easy to understand and their pricing for the service and quality they provided was extremely competitive. Look out for the heating companies that low ball a price, because when you dig into thie proposal and ask questions you will find out that there will be extra costs. Not with AG Heating and Air Conditioning, they do it right, who now day's does that? It is nice to know that AG Heating and Air Conditioning is a Factory Authorized and a Award Winning Dealer, they truly are the best of the best !!!! Review Readers, as you may know the reviews posted here might not be 100% reliable. We have been advised that with a fake email address anyone can post a review here. Anyone from a disgruntled ex-employee to our competition could get a fake email address to bad mouth AG Heating and Air Conditioning good name. We invite anyone to look into our 98% customer satisfaction rating we have received every year (from real customers) through an outside customer research firm. AG Heating and Air Conditioning is rated number one for customer satisfaction in the greater Los Angeles area in sales and service for heating and air-conditioning. Another good source to obtain customer feedback is through the Better Business Bureau, where we maintain an A+ rating. We do understand there may be a chance we made a mistake (no one is perfect) and encourage anyone with unsatisfactory service to contact us to have the issue resolved. Everyone at AG Heating and Air Conditioning prides themselves on customer service, works hard every day to meet the needs of all of our customers and will continue to do so. Of course the 25 year old A/C I had died, so I looked on google and saw that AG Heating and Air Conditioning had the most reviews and the most good reviews! So I called and the person who took the call was very nice and she said ""We can get a guy out in about an hour"" I could not believe it. I did not want to sleep without my A/C ! Sure enough about an hour later a repair man rang the bell and said ""Hello I'm from AG Heating and Air Conditioning I'm here to fix your A/C. After he told me the old A/C was needing a major repair I decided to just replace it. He gave me what I felt was a fair price (and I called around) and they came and put a new one in this morning. The guys who came out did not waste time, they put down tarps to keep the carpet clean, and were careful of the landscaping plants, they even worked a little in the rain : ) anyway I'm back up and running the house is cool and I'm expecting a lower electric bill. I would recommend them !!!!!!!!! more


Stupid Kirk! 3/6/2012

Overall, very unprofessional. They charge $85 for an estimate, which is fine. After the estimate, they said not to worry about the $85 but to let them know if I wanted to have the work done. I thought that was generous and continued to consider them for the work. The following week Kirk called me twice to see when I wanted to get started on the work that was estimated on. I told him that maybe I would be interested in two weeks as I still needed to get other estimates for a job that was in the $2000 range. Kirk called me back promptly to inform that if I was going to wait two weeks, then they would have to collect the $85 for the estimate. This message was left on my voice mail. Like everyone, I am extremely busy, and certainly don't need businesses calling me and telling me I owe them money, especially when I was told differently right after the estimate was completed. I then left a message after hours letting them know of our original agreement. 7:30 the next morning, Kirk calls me and leaves a message that they would need the $85 and I must have misunderstood the original understanding. I called him back 2 hours later to promptly give him my credit card info to pay the $85 for the estimate and asked them never to call me ever again. Even after I explained about what the technician said about the $85, Kirk still wanted to argue about it. Paying the $85 alone was worth never hearing from AG Heating and Air Conditioning ever again. For what its worth, the technician that visited my home seemed fair and appeared to have the customer's best interest in mind. Too bad the manager didn't. I will be hiring a different company for a fairly sizable job. more

Glad I called AG 2/20/2012

First, I am glad my furnace went out before the cold hit us. Gave me time to play the second opinion game. So, my furnace wasn't working and I was worried the pilot light was out or something. I called AG Heating and Air Conditioning around 10 am and the tech showed up by 11:30 am. Issue was the main furnace fan was dead, burned out or at the very least needed to be replaced. I was surprised by the cost and the tech gave me replacement as well as repair cost. They itemize the bill which was great at the same time, they gave a price and don't do the nickel and dime on stuff. Anyway, had the next day off and not an apparent health issue, so I opted to get a second opinion. (actually two for good measure) First thing I learned, first, the other contractors came out higher then AG Heating and Air Conditioning once you added up the fees and I had to spend time asking for them. Second thing I learned, neither of the technicians I had come out where happy when they found out AG Heating and Air Conditioning had already been there. Apparently they give different pricing depending on if they think you going to get a second opinion or not. One actually swore when he found out we had got a quote from AG Heating and Air Conditioning. Once I factored in the fees the prices were about the same. It was late afternoon by the time I got through all of this and I opted to spend more to replace my old unit then repair and I chose to go AG Heating and Air Conditioning as they gave me less hassle. They Stand & Deliver the Best 2/13/2012

I received a call from your customer service @ 9:15 and he was on the way. The Tech was in the house, working steadily and by 10:45 my problem was solved. He was prompt, professional, very customer-friendly, calm, and competent. We talked the entire time while he worked and it was the best + $300 I have spent in a long time. I work for the LA Public Works Department and I have oversight of many operations that directly affect/deal with the public. Therefore, I do know that complements at times come, few and far between, when exception service is delivered. I also know that, these complements when delivered, are hugely appreciated by the management, but especially by the staff. I cannot say enough about your answer service folks (friendly, helpful, prompt, calm, etc.), the person that called me back from your company (I really apologize I forgot his name - I wrote it down and misplaced the paper with the trip and all) but he understood the situation with the timing, returned the call, prompt, professional, and then the Tech (who I understand is a fairly newer employee for you, but in the A/C business for many years) who as I said, far exceeded all expectations and was a joy to have working in our home. I then received a call during my vacation asking how satisfied I was with the services that I received and then a card from you regarding the same thing. Your company will be very high on the list, and recommended to those who ask, when Heating, and Air Conditioning questions come my way. Again, thank you and pass onto to all your staff my thanks on what was a difficult and stressful situation that turned it into a pleasant surprise. more

GREAT, GREAT, GREAT !!!!!!! 2/8/2012

I want to thank you for the work you did with the insulation and new furnace for our house. The results exceeded our expectations. After the air sealing and insulation were completed, we noticed immediately that the second floor was quieter. So most of the night noise we used to hear has been eliminated. Also, we soon realized that the second floor was much cooler. In fact, it is only one or two degrees warmer than the first floor. Previously it was hotter and uncomfortable. Great results. Much more comfortable. Just what we were hoping would happen. Then the icing on the cake was when I received my electric bill after the hottest July in many years. It was significantly lower than last year, even though the temperatures were hotter and the AC ran more. Wonderful results to help start paying for the insulation investment we made. Chris E more

BAD, BAD, BAD! 2/7/2012

I called my home warranty company to have my heater fixed. I had to wait a week for them to get a technician because I have a hydronic heating system. The technician came out and turned the hot water heater up to the hottest setting. He flushed the system and replaced the thermostat but the heat still didn't work. The pump was out. So, I had to wait another week. He returned to fix the pump. To replace the pump, he had to turn the water off. He said that the valves on the hot water heater were bad and needed to be replaced. So he used the main water valve at the front of the house...and it broke. And it's not covered by the warranty company. So, they dispatched a plumber out. They got the water back on and the plumber said he would come back to try and fix the valves and the main water valve. And before they left, the hot water heater started leaking in the overflow and we had limited hot water. Not enough hot water to take a shower. The plumber said the office would call to set up a time. So, I was getting ready to run an errand a couple days later and I open my garage door and there he was. No one called to set up a time. So, he came in and said the valves on the hot water heater were fine and didn't need replacing. (I never got an answer why the heating guy couldn't use those valves) and he turned the hot water heater temperature down and later that day, the hot water supply returned to normal. He didn't have the part for the main valve. He was going to run to home depot and be right back. He never came back. I called the office later that day. They said they would talk to him and call me back. They never did. I called them on Monday and they said that he couldn't get the part on Friday. But he was coming out that afternoon. Wow, thanks for calling and making sure I would be there. He had the wrong part. He would get the right part. He didn't fix the hot water heater. He said I needed to call the warranty company for a new order and that it was a heating problem. So we had scheduled the heating guy to come out the next day. On Wednesday, the heating guy called me and told me that the hot water heater was a plumbing problem and he swore that the hot water problem would be fine if we turned to heater up to the hottest temperature. I explained to him 3 times that it was turned up when we had the hot water problem and we turned it down and the hot water problem was fine. He really wanted me to turn the temperature back up. He did not come back out. So, later that week I called the company to find out if the plumber was ever going to come back. I was put on hold and some guy came on and told me that they have to bust out the concrete to fix the main water valve and it's going to cost me a lot more. They guy started arguing with me when I told him that the heating guy should have used the valves by the hot water heater. Why didn't he use them????!!!!! And why doesn't your company ever call me to let me know what's going on. So, we had another company come out for a 2nd opinion. The hot water heater is experience thermal expansion and we need a something or other which will cost $350 and is not covered by the warranty company (I think it was caused by the brilliant heating guy turning the temperature up to the hottest setting). And the main valve will cost $1350 to repair (estimate). So, by the time they fixed my heater the temperature has warmed up and I haven't needed to use my heat so I don't even know if the heater works and I have $1700 in repairs I need to make to my house. DON'T USE THIS COMPANY!!!! They never call to set up and appointment and I would question the skill level of their technicians. more

Let me begin by telling you that I have used AG Heating & Air Conditioning twice before--once in 1999 and again in 2004. My air conditioner was not working properly. I called AG Heating & Air Conditioning, They came to look at the problem.\r their professionalism and knowledge far exceeded any expectations I had. They were extremely thorough, friendly, professional, knowledgeable and courteous. They were was able to fix my air conditioner. Yurr! I get Mad when its Hot So I called AG 1/27/2012

Excellent Experience with AG Heating & Air Conditioning Overall We had lost power to air conditioner & heater. I found AG Heating & Air Conditioning on the Internet (Google Search) and called late Friday afternoon. I don't remember the name of the girl I spoke with but she was up front and said that he couldn't get someone that evening but would be able to first thing Saturday morning. We agreed that I would keep looking for someone who could come sooner and she would have his person check with me at 8:00am Saturday morning to see if we still needed him. I got a call at exactly 8:00 am from AG Heating & Air Conditioning as promised. She said the Tech would be down before 9:30 and he arrived at 9:10. He was obviously very knowledgeable and very quickly figured out what was wrong, explaining to me along the way everything he was doing, checking and thinking.
