3cm Stone

I don't typically write reviews for companies but in this case I wanted to warn people about 3cm stone. I didn't read reviews here and other places online before I became involved with the company and I do intend to complain to the CCB and not because I want anything monetary, but because I think the public should know and business owners should know that your customers will not and should not take the abuse. My experience with CM is almost exactly the same as the other reviews and since those reviews were from a couple of years ago, it would seem that the owner of 3CM hasn't changed his tactics at all. I was charged for a trip charge when they did not even tell me they were coming out until the night before. I was out of town so obviously I didn't make the date with them. Even after I explained the mix up, they still did not waive the charge. Instead the owner of 3 CM Mark Chimento got on the phone and proceeded to yell, use profanity, insult me and my family ( he did my sisters stone counter tops too and also showed up without an appointment) and threatened to not finish the job if I didn't have a check ready before they walked through the door. He would take no responsibility for anything on his part. I felt I was being held hostage for an error they made. When they finally did install after I had to agree to the erroneous trip charge, they didn't do the job the way they were suppose to. There are lots of good stone installers out there, no one should have to deal with this kind of abuse from someone you are paying a lot of money to. Look somewhere else. \r more

3CM Stone in Tualatin, Oregon has turned my home remodeling experience into a homeowner's worst nightmare. They miscommunicated about so many issues related to the job and they took 3 months to follow up and get the most modest finishing portions done. All in all, they said they would like to address our concerns and answer any questions but when I stated I was not satisfied with one of their fieldmans efforts to fix a flawed installation of my shower bench, they would not respond to my e-mails and when suggested they come out again and look at it for themselves they flatly refused, yelled at me to the degree the owner was Scary. I even had them yell at me earlier in the project because the owner got into a fight over personal issue with my contractor and 3CM Stone decided to suddenly send me additional notices for trip charges. I do not like business practices like the ones that they placed on me. I would not recommend them. more

3CM Stone in Tualatin, Oregon has provided us with the most unreal experience. We are actually scared of the owner as he yelled at both my husband and myself, calling us names and using profanities because when asked in an e-mail by his employee, she said to contact her with any questions or concerns. When we replied we did have a concern, she refused to contact us and merely cashed the check. When we called to directly ask that they come ""look"" at the repair their employee did to our job that created a noticable defect in the marble they said "" what do you want from us?"" and we said we thought they wanted to know our concerns. Apparently, not! They started by taking no responsiblitiy and yet still not offering to look at the workmanship! They claim the flaw is our design problem and never once did they offer a word that they could not properly install a successful slab due to our design. Our design is something we've seen countless times in mags and tv. They yelled at us and threaten us with a lien. These are not nice people! I would not hire them nor recommend anyone else consider them. more
